The Ger's Contract Marriage [BL] -
Chapter 298: I Come Bearing Gifts...Again
Chapter 298: I Come Bearing Gifts...Again
Was it the wrong silver haired ger? Serious question.
Was there another silver haired ger in the forest? Was it possibly a forest spirit masquerading as a certain silver haired ger they all knew, and their stomachs loved oh so dearly?
Xu Feng and Xu Hu Zhe had returned from their otherworldly adventure, but it seemed that they had come back a step too late.
The silver haired ger stared at the two closest and relatively super shocked men.
Xuan Jian was obviously shocked, the relaxed nature gone and complete confusion shrouding him from head to toe. Xuan Yang on the other hand looked normal, a cold look on his face, but for the object of all the stares, he knew his husband.
Said husband’s eyes looked like they had spotted an actual BNW or even a Mecha in their cultivation world.
What else could shock an ancient man in a cultivation world where some men could give birth to babies...no eggs? A Mecha from the far off future or possibly your lover who you saw 3 hours earlier with a flat stomach, now, very, very round in the belly area.
The first option was unfortunately not the sight in front of them.
Xu Feng’s attire didn’t help much at all. He came ready to hike and hunt and do fun nature stuff, his clothing reflected that, and was now very tight against his bulging belly.
In that too long moment, Xu Feng saw all the questions in both his husbands’ eyes. Xuan Jian who was usually more accepting and welcoming was shocked, and wore it on his face openly, with no time to control his repones. Xuan Yang who had historically been more intelligent in these moments was just as shocked.
’Should I run?’ The thought flew by in the strange calm of Xu Feng’s mind. A pin in the silence, a ripple on still water.
He could live with the Xuan Ancestor forever, no one would be able to find him, and he wouldn’t have to explain this belly or the timeline.
Xu Feng lifted a foot, and Xuan Yang seemed to be nudged by something, possibly the transmigration gods, and sprinted toward his "wife."
As Xu Feng’s heart raced and he considered bolting into the forest, he made a quick, agile move to bypass Xu Hu Zhe, his body moving with urgency.
One foot, then the next, the wind pulling him forward.
His instincts screamed at him to escape the camp, but before he could get very far, two strong arms encircled his upper body from behind. The warmth of those arms enveloped him like a protective cocoon, and a sense of familiarity washed over him.
Safety?
It was the kind of warmth he knew all too well, the icy warmth of the one person who he still couldn’t anticipate warmth from. But the young master’s warmth could calm his racing heart.
Without even a second thought, Xu Feng recognized those arms and the person who owned them. It was Xuan Yang, his husband, the young master of the Xuan family.
Safety.
In Xuan Yang’s embrace, all the fear and tension seemed to drain away, leaving only a deep sense of relief and belonging. Xu Feng’s body relaxed against the back hug, and he let out a sigh of contentment.
"Feng Feng," The breathless whisper solidified it all. Yang’s voice was reassuring and firm, but the pet name brought so much warmth, Xu Feng felt he would melt.
Xuan Yang didn’t often call him ’Feng Feng,’ it was something Xuan Jian would do. The use of the pet name was purposeful, and it did what it was meant to do. Xu Feng couldn’t doubt his lover, not today.
The world could throw all the craziness it wanted at him, or not, preferably not, but as long as he had his hotties by his side, everything would be okay. Maybe.

The camp was shrouded in a heavy silence, broken only by the distant sounds of nature in the background. Xu Feng poked at the fire with a stick, his thoughts wandering aimlessly before returning to the present.
His eyes occasionally darted towards the two men sharing the campfire with him, creating an unspoken, tense standoff.
Everyone else had been shooed away with the large catch for the day. The processed boar—the same kind that had chased Xu Feng the last time he entered this forest—the blue pelt in the corner proved this.
But Xu Feng wasn’t allowed to be part of that victory feast. Xu Hu Zhe, Jie, Bo, and the boar were sent away by Xuan Jian heartlessly (not really). Apparently, Blue Boar wasn’t good for pregnant gers...
Said man who denied Xu Feng of his victory feast, Xuan Jian now occupied one corner of their triangular arrangement, his typically stoic face now bearing a more relaxed expression.
His brown hair was disheveled from the day’s hunt, and though he appeared only somewhat rumpled, it wasn’t a far cry from his usual impeccable appearance. The iceberg façade that often surrounded him seemed to have melted away and the Casanova one was nowhere to be seen, leaving behind a man lost in thought, perhaps still processing the unexpected bump.
On the other side of the campfire, Xuan Yang exuded a different kind of warmth today. His black hair framed his face, and his dark eyes held an inviting quality that left Xu Feng feeling both uncomfortable and strangely comforted.
After their earlier embrace, the young master seemed much more approachable, and his presence filled the campsite with an unexpected sense of calm in the eye of the storm.
In the midst of this silent stalemate, Xu Feng was the only one in motion, prodding at the roasting pheasants above the crackling fire. The tantalizing aroma of the cooking meat wafted through the air, filling the campsite with a mouthwatering fragrance.
It was a relatively simple meal, not the original feast that had been planned, but Xu Feng understood that Xuan Jian had his reasons for this choice. As long as it spared him from having to retell his strange story or make prolonged eye contact, he was willing to accept it.
The campfire crackled and popped, casting a warm, flickering glow over the trio. Despite the awkwardness that lingered in the air, the promise of a hearty meal roasted over the open flame served as a small comfort for Xu Feng.
