Chapter 213: Stamina Filled Dinner

Chapter 213: Stamina Filled Dinner

Xu Feng found himself standing in his private kitchen, the subtle tinge of redness accentuating his lips as he traced their slightly swollen outline with a thoughtful expression. His husband, Xuan Jian’s, lingering attention had left him feeling incredibly desired, a sensation that didn’t fade even in moments of separation.

He was very wanted by his husband despite it all.

Though no official obligation demanded it—it had technically only been 3 days since their last bed appointment—a sense of anticipation and need lingered within Xu Feng.

It had been 25 days (22 days in the space and 3 days in real time) since his last intimate session with Xuan Jian—a stretch of time that had jumped out at him from nowhere. It was now an unbearable ache in his lower abdomen.

The series of events, from his time in the secluded woods to the three additional days that had passed in the real world, had accumulated into an extended period of self restraint. And now, Xu Feng was filled with a desire he hadn’t realized was so strong until moments ago.

The concept of cultivation and the pursuit of immortality often led individuals to forgo food and other bodily needs in the quest for power. However, as Xu Feng stood there, thoughts turned toward the nature of demon beasts and human cultivators.

Were they not opposite in their instincts? Human cultivators were all about restraint and rising above their base needs, but didn’t demon beasts need to embrace their true natures and bloodlines to ascend in power? Shouldn’t his natural desires be embraced instead of suppressed?

If this was the case, Xu Feng couldn’t be more thankful for his fox blood, silver hair and all!

Lost in these reflections, Xu Feng was interrupted by the unexpected noise from Bai Mo, "Ahem," it was unknown how long the fox had been in the kitchen waiting for the daydreamer to awaken.

The evident blush on Bai Mo’s face, coupled with the shy glances from both Xu Si and Xu San, prompted Xu Feng to notice their curious yet bashful gazes. Suddenly it didn’t matter how long they were waiting...

Their attention was undeniably drawn to his slightly plump lips, a result of his recent passionate and unexpected make out session with Xuan Jian.

Both Xu Si and Xu San had tomato red faces as they averted their eyes from Xu Feng...He wasn’t sure if he should be shameless or have some shame in this situation...

In the midst of the slightly awkward atmosphere in the kitchen, Xu Feng loudly cleared his throat, "AHEM," breaking the intense tension that lingered. It wasn’t like he had time to heal his lips...

Well, he could have before coming out of his room, but then Xuan Jian would have noticed...

Redirecting his focus away from the lingering stares, he turned his attention to the treasures they had scavenged from the mountains, the ones Bai Mo was willing to bet his life on—the array of mushrooms, rare fungus, and other precious ingredients.

Ingredients as abundant and vibrant as these could barely be purchased in modern Dongmen. Even if one had the money, there was no source for such pure and natural foods.

Determined to rejuvenate his husbands and cater to Bai Mo’s tastes, Xu Feng planned a feast, drawing inspiration from ancient Donghua and Dongmen recipes. With a confident air, he started on preparing a selection of dishes aimed at reinvigorating their stamina.

He meticulously chose the ingredients and cooking methods, each dish crafted with precision and expertise. There was "Heavenly Fire Mushrooms Stir-Fry," a vibrant mix of rare mushrooms sautéed in a blend of spices, and "Dragon’s Breath Tofu," a sizzling tofu dish infused with a secret blend of chili peppers.

The tofu was homemade, and one of the dishes he had introduced to his household over the winter. Tofu wasn’t a new food in Donghua, but it wasn’t common, and the methods for making tofu hadn’t been standardized yet.

With the help of Xu Hu Zhe, Xuan Jian, and the Xuan servants with their overdose of male hormones, the task of making tofu was easy. They even had a bit too much tofu with the men’s zeal to make more of the tasty bean cubes! Xu Feng planned to make stinky tofu with the excess tofu. But that was for another day.

Xu Feng also prepared "Silken Goat Stew," a rich and hearty soup brimming with flavorful goat meat and root vegetables. This dish used the last of the Dharma Goat, and put the properties of this special goat to use.

Seeing the meat of the Dharma Goat, and having Xu Feng admit to what the meat was had Bai Mo’s eyes as wide as saucers and his mouth hanging open.

Even if Xu Feng brushed off all the specialties and rare meats that Xuan Jian brought back from the mountains, Bai Mo couldn’t. He was so shocked to be eating such an expensive delicacy.

But then again, he drank Dragon Chrysanthemum tea in Xu Feng’s home...this tall ger was strange from head to toe. He might eat and drink better than the king of their Donghua!

In the bustling ancient kitchen, Xu Feng was assisted by Xu Si and Xu San, both moving in perfect synchrony as they deftly handled the ingredients and utensils. The three of them worked together seamlessly, evidence of their harmonious partnership honed over the past winter.

Bai Mo, although eager to assist, hovered around, admiring their expertise and occasionally offering a hand. It was obvious Momo was a young master, the master of the Yilin Bai family to be exact. He was not at home in the kitchen, but Xu Feng didn’t judge him for this. Everyone was good at different things, and Bai Mo was a treasure in his own right.

As Xu Feng orchestrated the culinary masterpiece, Bai Mo could sense his friend’s mastery and deep knowledge of the culinary arts. The respect for Xu Feng’s cooking prowess grew even more apparent as Bai Mo observed the finesse and dedication with which Xu Feng, Xu Si, and Xu Si crafted each dish, working in tandem with perfect coordination and mutual understanding.

The smells were so strong and tempting that a certain Xuan young master could be seen pacing at the door of the kitchen occasionally.
