The playful atmosphere changed and the playful mood abruptly shifted.

"I see you went hunting without me, again. When are we going up the mountain?"

The two men showed straight faces, but no replies.

"I can have a straight constipated looking face too." Neither man so much as cracked a smile and Xu Feng wanted to go back to his room and keep them. Out of his courtyard, but after such an amazing celebration, he wouldn’t be so petty.

Still, he wanted, no he really wanted to go back up the mountain. The story he’d shared with Bai Mo was true, the inferior Dragon Chrysanthemums he had were all found by Xuan Jian when he went up the mountains in early spring when the ice was still thawing.

The mountains clearly had treasures up there, and many of them were most likely unknown by Xuan Jian and Xuan Yang, they weren’t as obsessed with the unusual plants and animals of this world like Xu Feng.

They were only slightly interested in all the books on natural fauna in the area. When Xu Feng asked them questions other than basic ones, neither could answer with certainty.

Xuan Yang seemed more interested, but he had only recently become fascinated, Xu Feng wanted to go up and see what he could find. What Xuan Jian might be missing when he goes up the mountain.

Nothing about Xu Feng was ordinary, and his secrets were even more extraordinary. Yet, both men continued to play dumb, even when he presented them with his plants.

Instead, they protected him and his secret without asking for answers. None of the new servants were allowed into Blooming Courtyard, not by Xu Feng’s original order, it was by Xuan Jian’s suggestion.
