Chapter 567: Chapter 565 Complete Shaper

By the time countless tiny arms had withdrawn from William’s abdomen like the tide receding,

representing the flock,

representing the Perfect Birth Body,

representing the newly changed "Gate of Life" that had become unlike any other.

The inner wall took on a rock-layer-like structure, no longer a hole transversing the abdomen, but just a darkness when looked inside.

If what was there before was a hollow, it now seemed like the Abyss.

However, William himself hadn’t felt much change, hadn’t captured any addition of illness, and apart from a bit of itchiness, there seemed hardly any change in his abdomen, and the effect of the Gate of Life still existed.

The only new element was a sense of connection, as the Tenth Abyss had said, establishing some sort of bond.

"From now on, through the hole in your abdomen, you will be able to contact me, but... only when you have something particularly urgent to report, or when someone dares to challenge my authority can you initiate contact, otherwise I will directly deny and erase your ’Spokesperson’ identity,"

"Alright."

"Moreover, the ’Life’ expressed by your abdomen unexpectedly matches well with my Abyss. Continue to develop it, and perhaps it might evolve into a real and effective Child Abyss Structure on you."

"Life and the Abyss can actually harmonize? I understand."

"Remember your promise, besides acting as my spokesperson to the outside, you must also regularly deliver qualified Abyss dwellers here."

"Rest assured on that account. I will make you satisfied,"

William had long had detailed plans in his mind, to send a student to the Tenth Abyss every now and then, not only to satisfy the ’offering’ requirement but also to allow the student to seek the deep knowledge of the darkness,

due to the special nature of the Black Insane Brain, even transformed into an Abyss dweller, the student’s identity would not be lost,

and when a certain moment arrived, he would inevitably be of use to William himself.

"This audience is over, but before you leave, show me your true form.

From your very first audience to now, you only tended to reveal your true self when you cut off my appendage; you’ve been restrained most of the time.

Come, let me see your entirety, look at your framework and characters."

"Yes."

At the invitation of the Tenth Abyss, William gradually rose from a kneeling position, floating in a cruciform shape.

When a flawlessly perfect silver frame appeared,

music played, the somber notes causing the Tenth Abyss to suddenly expand the orifices on its face to clearly capture this unique melody.

"Hmm!"

The silver-circled Patients enslaved by the Tenth Abyss numbered ten, and It had seen those Patients’ silver frames and heard the music that appeared in sync.

But no music had ever made It pause to listen carefully like this one, the somber and despair-filled notes resonating through the Abyss, feeling incredibly comforting to It.

Especially a certain "Order" contained within the melodies, which linked what should have been chaotic, degraded notes.

Re-examining William while following this bizarre, slow, and discordant melody,

Click—noise came from the spine, and the ’Second One’ embedded in between the vertebrae slowly peeled off, gently clinging to William’s shoulder, both gazing at the Tenth Abyss.

A definite sense of death transmitted, even making the Tenth Abyss feel a trace of danger.

As the pitch slowly rose, the Tenth Abyss turned towards the silver frame above William’s head, seeing the DNA helix structure on the frame’s surface, very much to Its aesthetic liking.

And a Gothic-style alphabet, engraved at the front of the silver frame.

William Y. Behrens, The Complete Shaper

When the discordant melody ended in its complete form, the Tenth Abyss actually nodded its head up and down, acknowledging in human form, fully recognizing its own ’Spokesperson.’

"A very fine posture, enough to demonstrate the existence of the Abyss to outsiders, let it be so... Do you need me to send you off?"

"There’s no need to trouble yourself, sir. As I am now your spokesperson, if I cannot even climb out of the Abyss, that would simply be too inferior... I won’t disturb your rest; I will visit you again when necessary."

"Go then."

William gathered the silver frame above his head, and with a turn, he climbed up the walls of the Abyss.

After all, William had experience in climbing the Abyss, otherwise he wouldn’t have dared to show off his strength so readily.

Choosing to climb on his own was an attempt to deepen his understanding of the Tenth Abyss,

and also to use ’climbing the Abyss’ as a form of training to familiarize and understand his newly upgraded physical state and the Abyss structure transformed by the gate of life.

The feeling of climbing was completely different from that of the Original Tomb,

the texture was not of rock walls, but more like climbing on some dense Physical and fabric surface, it even felt like climbing on the surface of the Tenth Abyss’s long skirt...

It took William a full week to climb out.

The Pilgrimage Road above the Abyss was no trouble for him as a Spokesperson; he could easily determine the direction, find the gatekeeper’s exit, and return to the settlement.

"Ah!"

Those struggling at the Condensed Face square in the abyss spotted William and immediately reacted with panic; Social Phobia forced them to halt the Condensed Face process and flee the scene,

"That is..."

In their panic, however, one person noticed the structure on William’s abdomen, and the rest also turned their eyes towards it.

Although Social Phobia was still present, a higher emotion took over their entire bodies, forcing them all to kneel down and worship the young man in the most devout manner.

Even the Abyss Gatekeeper, the Black Treesman Lord Karims, also proceeded to kneel in reverence.

"Hey, Lord, you should still have my stuff with you, right?"

A gentle pat from William’s palm frightened the Lord into trembling; the corpse hanging on the tree shook wildly, for he had once underestimated this young man.

"It’s here... I’ve kept it safe all along."

The black briefcase separated from deep within the tree and was handed over to William, well-preserved.

"Well done, Lord; goodbye~ Remember to fulfill your duties well and humble yourself."

"Understood!"

When William removed his hand, his aura also vanished, and as the Lord looked up again, the young man was no longer in sight.

...

Beyond the hanging Black Curtain in the sky,

the area was still dotted with tents of various kinds, loosely gathered Treasure Hunters discussing their plans for exploration. Yet a neatly dressed young man walked out from among them, unfazed.

An oppressive and fearful feeling emanated simultaneously, forcing them to keep their distance.

William’s gaze bypassed the ’weak and Gamblers’ before him, gazing toward Rat City.

"Phew~ Silver turbidity took up too much time; climbing out of the Abyss took another week, the whole journey taking almost three months. It seems Jin and the others must have gone back to their respective homes by now.

There’s another trouble, though; the Circus gave me two months off, and I wonder how they’ll handle the overtime.

Seeing how Mr. Jian and the others rarely get any time off, even a day’s leave seems like a huge gamble. I hope the boss will cut me some slack considering it was my first time handling matters outside."

Just as William started his journey towards Rat City, a red, a silver, and a flicker of candlelight rapidly approached from the direction of Rat City.

On closer inspection,

it was Jin, Price the City Lord, and Thirteen sitting on the City Lord’s shoulder.

As William left the curtain, having been a student, Thirteen immediately sensed the teacher and notified the squad to come at once.

"These guys actually waited for me the whole time, and it seems they’ve gotten quite close too~ Jin’s still around; wouldn’t the Cancer Palace pursue her for taking such long leaves?"

Just as William, with a smile, was about to embrace his teammates deeply,

Whoosh! Jin, nearing a hundred meters, suddenly accelerated, delivering a high-level sweeping kick directly at William’s temple.

The impact tore apart the tents within a hundred meters,

and amidst the dust, William stood still, firmly catching Jin’s gold boots with his right hand.

"Jin, didn’t you use the power of the Red Lotus?"

"What if I blew off your head by accident? I’m glad I waited; William, this guy has become so strong in just over eighty days... Let’s spar later."
