Chapter 485 - 483 Kitchen Rules

Chapter 485: Chapter 483 Kitchen Rules

Circus kitchen, officially known as Fear Kitchen.

The only Manager of the kitchen had been working at the Circus for the longest time, and was also the boss’s Nutritionist and the main person in charge of the magic banquet evenings.

"Chef—Timi Montoya"

Once someone was newly promoted to be a main member of the Circus, they had to go to the kitchen for guidance from Chef Timi and create a dish that matched their own characteristics, which also had to meet the dining standards of the magic banquet.

The magic banquet was an indispensable part of the whole Circus operation and one of the rare collective events that the boss would personally participate in, which everyone took very seriously.

Many important matters would be discussed during the magic banquet, and no one might take leave for any reason.

Newly appointed main members would also receive a Rulebook before heading to the kitchen.

If one violated the rules while preparing dishes in the kitchen, they might not only lose their title as a main member but also possibly appear at the banquet in another way.

Hell’s Kitchen is organized into the following zones (please remember, as subsequent rules will largely be associated with these areas):

[Ingredient Area]

This area is further sub-divided into four smaller areas—the Vegetable Area, the Fruit Area, and the meat case.

[Cooking Zone]

This area is further sub-divided into—the ingredient processing area, seasoning area, and cooking area.

[garbage area]

As the name suggests, it is used for disposing of the necessary ’garbage’ generated during the process of cooking.

As the kitchen must remain absolutely clean, all garbage must be disposed of in the corresponding way.

The kitchen rules are as follows:

1. "Clean"

Any personnel attempting to enter the kitchen must undergo disinfection and washing of the entire body after approval and change into special kitchen clothing and aprons.

During dish preparation, stains are only allowed to splatter on the apron.

If residual stains are found in other areas of the kitchen, an equivalent amount of meat must be cut from the person’s body as compensation (one square meter of stain corresponds to one cubic meter of meat).

If a person’s exposed hands become stained, they can only be washed using the "meat grinder".

All used tableware must be returned to its original place, and there must be no deviation in orientation, numbering, arrangement, or embedding.

2. "Meat"—All meat ingredients provided in the kitchen are sealed in the meat case.

Generally, the meat needed for an individual’s dish comes from the individual themselves; if one needs to use the meat stored in the meat case, a detailed application report must be filed.

If unsealed ’meat’ is found in the kitchen and the size is smaller than 7×7×7cm, it must be immediately reported to the nearest responsible person, who will deal with it as soon as possible.

If the size of the external meat block exceeds the above conditions, the person may choose to directly eliminate the meat. Any damage caused to the kitchen during the process need not be concerned, and they will also receive a performance and reward from Chef Timi.

3. "Hair"—Hair will appear in the kitchen periodically.

If hair-growing fruits or vegetables are found, or if the hair does not exceed a thousand strands and has not formed a cluster, please throw them into the incinerator of the garbage area immediately to ensure they are completely burned.

If sinks, floors, cabinets, or ceilings with moving hair clusters are found and there is an obvious tendency towards the meat case, please report to the nearest kitchen Manager immediately.

Beware! Beware! Beware of letting hair combine with meat—if this situation occurs, the kitchen will sound a First Level alert and go into lockdown.

Personnel inside the kitchen will not be able to leave until the threat is completely eliminated.

4. "Fees" - Aside from the Magic Banquet, the regular use of backstage cooking areas incurs corresponding fees.

When preparing dishes in the backstage area, the cost of ingredients, use of cooking tools, or the Chef’s guidance and instruction will all be converted into ’meat quantity’.

Before an individual leaves the kitchen, they must pay a sufficient amount of meat as a fee (the value of different parts of meat varies and will be calculated by the backstage staff).

If the finished dish receives the Chef’s approval, all fees can be waived, and one might even earn "Backstage Free Trial Coupons (1~3 times)," "Small Portion Meat Locker Experience Coupons," and so on.

...

After William finished reading the rules,

Catherine slowly moved her forehead away, yet still chose to remain seated on his shoulder, reluctant to come down.

"What do you think? Isn’t it more complicated than the Circus’s rules?

After all, the head Chef is the boss’s exclusive Nutritionist, many details have to be perfected, any deviation might lead to the boss’s condition worsening."

"I understand, but the rules related to meat and hair are a bit strange... Could it be that the ’meat quality’ and ’hair’ stored in the Meat Locker are innately connected, originating from the same, dangerous entity?

I thought you would use the Audience’s physical bodies as ingredients."

Yue~ Catherine made a vomiting gesture upon hearing this.

"How could those lowly Audience bodies qualify to flow into the backstage kitchen.

If the Audience dies during the show, their bodies will be packed up by the Receptionists and cremated, with the ashes undergoing a mass solidification process to eventually become a type of bone building material, used in the construction of stages for performances and rehearsals.

All the ingredients in the backstage kitchen are of high quality; the vegetables and fruits are cultivated by the Circus itself, while the meat and that troublesome hair are indeed as you guessed, William.

They come from a rather dangerous entity... Pfft! Hahaha!"

Catherine seemed tickled by some delightful thought,

But her laughter drew the displeasure of the Beast Tamer, Zock, "Such behavior is disrespectful to the boss! Even if you have a special identity associated with ’laughter’ as a clown, don’t make jokes about these matters."

"Alright, I got it! After all, William isn’t wrong, is he... The boss is indeed a very dangerous entity."

William was taken aback by this revelation, "What!? The meat in the Meat Locker and the hair that might appear in the backstage kitchen come from the boss?"

"That’s right, the boss’s progressively worsening body requires ’haircuts’ and ’meat trimming’ at intervals. Since these are produced from the boss’s body, even if they are excess, they can’t be eradicated by conventional means.

So, the head Chef discovered that these trimmed meats could become ’dishes’ through special cooking methods, once eaten, they allow an individual to experience the ultimate ’deliciousness and fear.’

Whether it’s me, Zock, or the boss’s ’fear illness,’ we get our diseases stabilized and enhanced by consuming dishes with the boss’s meat at the Magic Banquet Room.

Rest assured, fear illness is entirely different from our own diseases, they coexist, not only do they not interfere, but they also aid our own illnesses to function better.

Because the meat and hair share the same origin,

even if the meat is sealed and stored in the Meat Locker of the backstage kitchen, hair will still try to make its way through any spatial gap into the kitchen, attempting to combine with the meat at all costs.

The best treatment is incineration, but even so, the hair can regrow within 3~5 days.

If the hair combines with the meat, it will give birth to an independent fear consciousness, that can quickly evolve into a bionic body of the boss, extremely dangerous, posing great lethality even to us core members.

An incident in the kitchen once resulted in the direct death of the former third leader of the Circus.

But, well~ with my and Zock’s presence this time, especially Zock’s remarkable perception of meat, there shouldn’t be any problems."

"Understood, let’s move on..."

William’s expression remained unchanged, even slightly excited; this trip to the Circus was indeed the right choice.
