Though Bai Yunxian felt a strong urge to throw up after reciting such cringe sentences, he did his best to hold back since it was for the sake of investigation.

"This way," The guy said, scampering off in the direction of the street where Bai Yunxian indicated him.

The sound of Bai Yunxian’s expensive heels and the guys’ boots on the cobblestones created a strange rhythm.

As they approached the brothel, the guy glanced back at Bai Yunxian a few times. As he looked back at him, he saw the girl’s eyes were filled with fake concern.

"What’s the matter?" Bai Yunxian asked.

"It’s nothing. Just that, I feel bad for the lady, since you have to see something bad like this," he responded.

Understanding right away what was going on, Bai Yunxian smiled at the guy, which took him a little back.

"If he dares to cheat on me, then I also want to cheat back and show him what it feels like."

The guy pretended to be surprised as he scampered away as Bai Yubxian backed away. Not giving him a second glance, he strolled into the brothel.

The Madam, the owner of the brothel, looked Bai Yunxian up and down before saying, "I don’t think the boys that serve here will suit someone with such fine tastes as yourself, this Young Miss."

Looks like she didn’t realize him, because he was now dressed like a woman, as well as changed his body from outside with that artifact. It’s only right for her not to recognize him.

"Nevermind that," Bai Yunxian said, waving a hand. "First, tonight you got a rich customer here, a Rich Young Master who bought a male courtesan yesterday, show me to his room. In addition, I require another room here for myself, an extravagant lavish room, prepare that for me."

With a puzzled look, the Madam looked at the guy behind her as he gestured to do so as what Bai Yunxian asked.

"But, it’s against our business, Young Miss. We can’t leak information on our customers, please try to understand."

Before the Madam stopped talking, Bai Yunxian was already on her way upstairs.

As he passed by an arch, Bai Yunxian heard a gruff and groaning voice in the room next to the one she got locked up yesterday. It was already confirmed who was inside this room.

However, she didn’t have the time to open the door and walk inside to make a ruckus.

Before he had the chance to turn around, a hand wrapped around his face, pressing a cloth to his mouth and nose.

Holding his breath and clawing at the hand, Bai Yunxian attempted to break free. His struggle to increase the amount of oxygen needed to remain conscious, Bai Yunxian had no choice but to take a few shallow breaths.

The substance on the cloth began almost immediately to take effect. Biting the soft skin inside his cheek, he tasted the sharp, metallic flavor of blood. The sudden pain brought a rush of clarity to his head.

He violently thrashed around in the unknown man’s arms. Bai Yunxian knew he had to make his panic look authentic, which wasn’t difficult. No matter how prepared he was for this, it was still terrifying to endure.

As Bai Yunxian dropped his both hands down slowly, his fingers numb from the effect of the drug, he saw a man’s face looming in front of him. His vision was swimming, and all he could make out was a pair of dog-like eyes perched on a long nose.

"Hmm, finally caught another big fish," the man said contemplatively. "Nevertheless, I need to move her quickly first!"

On the other hand,

Yun Shu was bored sitting and waiting for a long time, at the same time, she felt anxious after not seeing any movement from Bai Yunxian.

Though she released enough guards to take care of him on the way, she still felt anxious.

After all, now, in Yun Shu’s heart, Bai Yunxian wasn’t only a character of a game. But a more important person than that.

Since she said she would take responsibility for him, she wanted to take it until the end.

Mission or whatever, Bai Yunxian’s safety was the top priority for Yun Shu, however, that doesn’t mean she would lock him up in a cage by breaking his wings and never let out.

She would pamper him, indulge him to the point of no return till the days she leaves. But that doesn’t mean she would take away his freedom, the thing that he wants the most.

That’s why she left a condition in that contract, specially made just for him.

She was only a time-limited character in this world, while Bai Yunxian will live here forever.

That’s why, a path paved for him was needed, where he could continue living in peace even after Yun Shu left. And she was willing to do whatever it takes, if it’s for his happiness.

Even if she wanted to care for him, there were many restrictions that she needed to be careful of.

One wrong move could destroy his future, one wrong decision will put him in an unknown danger.

That’s why Yun Shu had to be more careful and calculative, until she was in the presence of other main characters.

However, in this place, there were no other main characters coming in the scene to prevent her from doing whatever she wanted.

And she also wanted to use this opportunity to pamper the guy however she wants!

Yun Shu didn’t have any thoughts of compromising.

As Yun Shu was deep in her thoughts, Nine entered the room through the window, bowing to respect.

All of them had been drugged for sure, at least this was a method Yun Shu frequently used, Nine was already accustomed to this lifestyle of his lord that he could ignore this scene openly.

"The guy took him in that room, My Lord. Just as you predicted." Nine whispered in Yun Shu’s ear as he drew closer, then retreated quickly.

"Hmm, is that so? Then, it’s time to take action, I guess. Let’s go."

No matter what, leaving Bai Yunxian and that murderer together in the same room was risky no matter what, and Yun Shu wouldn’t like it if that crazy bastard were to leave a mark on him.

The door to the room was closed tightly, however, Yun Shu broke down and destroyed half the room along with the door in one blow as she walked inside, only to see the guy hovering over the unconscious Bai Yunxian and rip off the ribbon of his dress.

Startled and shocked, the guy looked back at Yun Shu who was now glaring at him, her aura was similar to that of King Yama as she stomped her feets and walked towards the bed, blowing the guy off in one strike.

"This bastard, what? Was playing with innocent girls and killing them after using fun? Why not let me see how fun it is?" Yun Shu yanked the guy by the collar as she grit her teeth in anger.

The guy’s nose was bleeding from the blow earlier, however, he gave off a nasty smile at Yun Shu as he scoffed, "Heh, that’s something new. I didn’t know this Young Master to be so smitten to your fiance. I heard that you went to brothels and played with other women, why come to disrupt the fun we were having?"

Yun Shu’s face that went expressionless from anger just now showed a hint of amusement as she went closer to the guy and whispered.

"It’s a shame, isn’t it? However, let me tell you something. The girl you were thinking of having fun with isn’t my fiance, but my wife. What’s more, that girl is actually not what you think it is."

"What do you mean?" The guy was shocked when he heard Yun Shu.

’She was his wife? Then there is no way she was some pure virgin! The information I got was false!`

Suddenly, realization hit him hard as he looked up at the guy before him in disbelief.

The smug expression on Yun Shu’s face told him everything already as he went furious.

"You, it’s you! You are the one who deceived me!"

"Did you realize that just now?" Yun Shu wrapped one hand around his neck and punched him hard directly on his face, leaving no way to back off or dugde.
