Chapter 774: Chapter 722: Desperate
“What’s wrong, boss, did you have a fight with your wife?” Liu Qingqing had just left when Wang Xiaofei suddenly appeared in front of Liu Hun, asking with some surprise.
Before Liu Hun could answer, Li Wenwen, who was inside the room, straightened her clothes and walked out. Seeing Wang Xiaofei, Li Wenwen threw Liu Hun a flirtatious look and said, “Doctor Liu, I’ve left my phone number in the room. You can call me anytime if there’s something you need. I have things to do today, so I won’t disturb you any further.”
Liu Hun had already found out what he wanted to know, so whether Li Wenwen left or not made no difference to him; especially since there wasn’t a penny in that Gold Card, Liu Hun didn’t care at all.
“Boss, isn’t this a bit too harsh…” Wang Xiaofei was no fool and could see what was happening at a glance.
“It’s not what you think, but where’s Wu Zhi right now?” Liu Hun shook his head and didn’t explain further.
“After I beat him up earlier, he left the hospital. What’s up, is there something wrong?” Wang Xiaofei looked confused as he glanced at Liu Hun.
“Keep an eye on Qingqing in secret for me; I’m a bit worried,” Liu Hun commanded with a nod. As for Wu Zhi, Liu Hun wasn’t in a hurry. After all, time was on his side, and without sufficient evidence to prove Wu Zhi’s involvement in this matter, even if he found Wu Zhi, as long as Wu Zhi didn’t confess, there was nothing he could do about it.
As Liu Hun’s subordinate, Wang Xiaofei naturally didn’t have much to say in this matter; he just did as Liu Hun had instructed.
Later, Liu Hun went to check on Chen Daniu’s son in the hospital ward, then received a call from Wang Xiaofei.
From the phone call, Liu Hun learned that Liu Qingqing had gone to a bar to drink alone. Hesitating for a moment, he decided to go there and see for himself.
Ten minutes later, Liu Hun entered a bar. Even though it was getting dark, the bar was still full of people.
Red lights, green liquor, young men and women crazily shaking their bodies on the dance floor — Liu Hun slightly frowned.
He had never liked such places, whether in his past life or present.
“Boss, I may not understand matters of the heart very well, but I can see that Doctor Liu seems to be sincerely fond of you,” Wang Xiaofei approached Liu Hun and hesitated.
Hearing Wang Xiaofei’s words, Liu Hun replied self-deprecatingly, “Do you think that people like us are a good thing for her?”
Liu Hun’s words rendered Wang Xiaofei silent. Although he still didn’t fully understand Liu Hun, he knew that anyone involved with the Zero Mercenary Group was no ordinary person.
And such people were the least suitable for romantic relationships.
Liu Hun asked Wang Xiaofei to buy some groceries and then went to the bar alone.
Arriving at the spot Wang Xiaofei had told him where Liu Qingqing was supposed to be, and seeing the empty table still with an unfinished bottle of beer, Liu Hun frowned.
“Excuse me, did you see the girl who was drinking alone here just now?” Liu Hun approached a young man sitting at the next table.
“How the hell should I know? Dude, are you sick? Get lost and don’t bother me while I’m hitting on girls,” the young man retorted with a frown, clearly annoyed.
Seeing that the man was unmoved, a chill flashed in Liu Hun’s eyes, and he grabbed the man’s collar, demanding, “I’ll ask one more time, did you see the girl who was here?”
“You…” The young man started to speak but faltered under Liu Hun’s icy gaze, trembling, unable to muster any resistance as those eyes seemed almost demonic.
“She… She was taken away by a few guys; I don’t know anything else…”
Getting his answer, Liu Hun released the man and immediately left the bar.
“Little Seven, check for a girl who just disappeared from the Pine Forest Bar. I’ll send you a photo soon. Find out who took the girl,” Liu Hun called Little Seven, a dual PhD and computer expert, capable of hacking into the bar’s surveillance system without a problem.
After hanging up, it wasn’t even two minutes before Little Seven called back telling Liu Hun that according to his investigation, the girl was in a nearby 7 Days Inn, even providing the exact room number.
Upon hearing this, Liu Hun, without a second thought, swiftly headed towards the hotel.
Based on the photos sent by Little Seven, one of the men was indeed Wu Zhi. A surge of anger welled up in Liu Hun’s heart. He had been patient enough not to trouble Wu Zhi already, and now, Wu Zhi had the audacity to approach Liu Qingqing…
“If anything happens to Qingqing, none of you will live to see another day!” Liu Hun murmured in his heart.
Soon, Liu Hun arrived at the hotel and, walking along the corridor, saw a few chattering thugs by a door, recognizing them as the ones from Little Seven’s photos.
“Kid, if you want to get through, go that way. This area is off limits,” one of the thugs said, pointing at Liu Hun as he arrived.
“Wu Zhi is in the room?” Liu Hun looked at the few hoodlums in front of him, his face void of any expression.
“Do you know Brother Wu Zhi?” The hoodlums looked at Liu Hun with some confusion.
As soon as these words were spoken, Liu Hun suddenly sneered, “Not only do I know him, but we’re also old acquaintances!”
Having said that, Liu Hun reached out with both hands, grabbed two people’s heads, and slammed them together hard, knocking them both out cold instantly. As for the rest, they collapsed on the ground, wailing in pain in an instant.
“Bang!” Liu Hun kicked open the door, and inside the room, Wu Zhi had Liu Qingqing tied to a chair.
Liu Qingqing had had a bit much to drink before, unaware of the situation, so she was ambiguously taken advantage of by Wu Zhi.
Looking at Liu Qingqing’s face that was flushed red, her beautiful almond-shaped eyes seductive as silk, a cold light flashed in Liu Hun’s eyes; he hadn’t expected Wu Zhi to drug Liu Qingqing.
“Liu Hun… how… how come you’re here?” Wu Zhi was very angry about what had happened before at the hospital, he planned to find some people to teach Liu Hun a lesson, but unexpectedly found Liu Qingqing drinking alone at the bar, hence this scene.
When Wu Zhi saw the few hoodlums lying and wailing at the door, his face immediately turned ugly; “You… don’t come closer…”
Liu Hun could easily defeat the hoodlums he had sourced, and obviously, he was no match for Liu Hun.
After hesitating for a moment, Wu Zhi quickly picked up a nearby bottle, smashed it, and placed it against the white neck of Liu Qingqing, threatening, “Don’t come any closer, or… or I’ll kill her!”
“As for the patient’s affair, you’re already suspected of intentional murder, and if you dare to touch Qingqing now, besides you, I’ll make sure your entire family joins you in Hell. I, Liu Hun, will do what I say.” As he spoke, Liu Hun walked step by step towards Wu Zhi.
“Liu Hun, do you have any proof of what you say? All I want now is for you to let me leave here, then I won’t harm Dr. Liu. Otherwise, don’t blame me for being rude!” Wu Zhi wasn’t a fool, he quickly retorted disdainfully.
“You can go.” Liu Hun nodded and stepped aside.
Wu Zhi hadn’t expected Liu Hun to agree so readily and paused before slowly backing out of the room.
“Ah… you traitors… Liu Hun!” Just as Wu Zhi left the room, he was suddenly tackled by the hoodlums lying at the door.
“Big Brother, you promised us before…” one of the hoodlums, his face swollen, looked worriedly at Liu Hun and asked.
“If you satisfy me from here on out, I will let this go; otherwise, all of you better be prepared to face jail,” Liu Hun looked at them and spoke solemnly.
From the beginning, Liu Hun had anticipated such an event, so he had threatened these hoodlums, but he hadn’t expected they would really do as he ordered.
Liu Hun was unaware, among them, there was a tough guy, still he was instantly knocked down by Liu Hun, hence they dared not disobey him; otherwise, it would be suicidal.
Seeing Wu Zhi getting beaten up by the few, Liu Hun then focused his attention on Liu Qingqing.
At this moment, Liu Qingqing was burning up all over. Since Wu Zhi had not tied her up tightly initially, the rope was gradually loosened by Liu Qingqing.
“Rip!” A crisp tearing sound echoed in the room, and Liu Qingqing ripped off her outer shirt, revealing the soft red lingerie inside.
Looking at her bare porcelain skin, Liu Hun couldn’t help but swallow, but before he could react, Liu Qingqing wrapped around him like a water snake.
“I didn’t realize Qingqing’s figure was so good…” Liu Hun sighed silently and then carried Liu Qingqing to the bed.
No sooner had he put Liu Qingqing down than her white jade-like arms again wrapped around Liu’s neck, and her legs coiled around Liu’s waist, leaving him completely immobilized.
Faced with such stark temptation, Liu Hun fiercely slapped himself and grasped Liu Qingqing’s arms, channeling bursts of strength into her body.
As the force flowed into Liu Qingqing, she calmed down and wasn’t as feverishly hot as before.
“Why go through all this trouble, I was only trying to elicit from Chen Daniu’s wife who was framing you,” seeing Liu Qingqing gradually stabilize, Liu Hun looked at her pink cheeks and couldn’t help but smile bitterly.
After driving the drug out of Liu Qingqing’s system, and seeing her eyes tightly closed, Liu Hun said earnestly, “Qingqing, I am sorry, I don’t deserve your serious attention, considering we haven’t known each other long, and with what has happened now, you probably won’t have any feelings for me anymore, which is a good thing. I, Liu Hun, carry too much burden in this life, let alone protecting you; staying away from me, at least you can live out your life peacefully.”
Having said that, Liu Hun shook his head, took off his clothes, covered Liu Qingqing with them, then gently placed her on the bed in a new room.
After Liu Hun left with Wu Zhi and the others, Liu Qingqing slowly opened her eyes, tears rolling down her cheeks, yet she murmured softly, “You are the first person I, Liu Qingqing, have ever truly felt for in all these years. No matter what happens in the future, I will never regret it!”
The words Liu Hun had said earlier were clearly heard by Liu Qingqing; he also didn’t anticipate Liu Qingqing’s personality to be as stubborn as Chu Mengyao’s had been.
