Chapter 679: Chapter 629: Lovely Person
“Bang!” With a fierce hook, Liu Hun punched the bald man fiercely in the abdomen.
“Uh uh uh…” The bald man’s head hadn’t recovered yet, and his stomach took another punch, causing bile to vomit out instantly.
“You have no right to question me! Let me tell you! I also play with life! But it’s other people’s lives!” After Liu Hun spoke to the bald man, he patted his shiny head and then told the two underlings, “Dispose of this corpse and take these two away!”
“Yes!” The two underlings quickly nodded, finally witnessing the true capabilities of their real boss, far from being a weak businessman.
At that moment, Zhong Xiao also arrived with his men. Kicking open the door and seeing Liu Hun safe and sound, he finally breathed a sigh of relief, “Brother Liu, the two sisters are already arranged in the car, Yang Zihuan is in very good condition!”
“Good! Dispose of the corpse! Take these two guys to the club, I have questions to ask!” Liu Hun commanded, then walked straight out of the abandoned building.
Section One Hundred and Sixty-Four: Let’s see.
Having temporarily settled Yang Xinrui and Yang Zihuan, Liu Hun then went to the Karaoke club. In a soundproof private room, he met with the bald man, Big Black, along with Zhong Xiao and Erzi.
“Alright!” Liu Hun moved a chair and then sat opposite the two men and asked, “Speak! Who made you do this?”
Big Black didn’t dare say a word, just glanced at the bald man. But the bald man, holding his head up, said, “No one made us do this, just wanted some money.”
“What a joke! Use your brain when you lie. Hong Kong is so big, why would you kidnap a female inspector, who also owes a huge debt to the hospital? Do you think anyone would believe that?” Liu Hun questioned the bald man.
“Whether you believe it or not, I don’t care, I still say the same thing, I wanted the money!” the bald man answered stubbornly.
Liu Hun’s eyes turned fierce, then he gestured to Zhong Xiao, who immediately gave a signal to Erzi. Erzi walked up to the bald man, pulled out a dagger, and sliced off half of the bald man’s ear.
“Ah!!! Oooh…ah!!!” The bald man, tightly bound, couldn’t break free and just screamed loudly.
“I told you, I play with other people’s lives. You need to think whether you want to live in prison or die here, you have a choice,” Liu Hun said to the bald man.
“Huff, huff, huff…” The bald man finally caught his breath, glaring at Liu Hun, “Even in prison they’ll torture me to death! Better to end it quickly!”
“So, you are from the police station… Tsk tsk…” Liu Hun crossed his legs and immediately caught some clues from the bald man’s words, “You can tell me more, I assure you, if you tell me who it is, I’ll make sure you live comfortably in prison for the rest of your life.”
The bald man’s eyes rolled in their sockets, seeming to hesitate, then he asked Liu Hun, “Why should I believe you?”
“You don’t need a reason, you must believe,” Liu Hun told the bald man. He wasn’t in the mood to negotiate with this slippery character and had to dig out the person within the police station trying to harm Yang Xinrui, else this person would always be a menace.
“Then still talking about your grandma… Ahh!!!…Oooh…ahhh!!!”
While the bald man was still being obstinate, Erzi casually cut off his other half ear too, and said, “Dead bald man, if you don’t want to turn into a melon head, then answer properly.”
Liu Hun waited for the bald man to catch his breath, then turned to Big Black and asked, “What do you know? You can speak too?”
Big Black was already scared enough to wet his pants, being a person from the streets, how could he not know the measures Zhong Xiao and his men took? He immediately nodded like a pecking chicken, “I…I…I’ll speak! I’ll speak!”
“Big Black, you dare!” The bald man suddenly shouted, stopping Big Black.
Zhong Xiao immediately signaled Erzi again, and Erzi, with a swift motion, turned the bald man completely into a melon head.
“Ah!!! F*** your grandmas!!! Just give me a quick death!” The bald man screamed and cursed.
“You wanted to kill me before, now I offer you a way out and you refuse!” Liu Hun coldly said to the bald man, then instructed Erzi, “Grant his wish!”
Erzi, without hesitation, took out a silenced pistol, aimed at the bald man’s head, and “Pfft!” a bullet was shot into him.
The bald man didn’t even have time to regret it before his blood and brain fluid burst out from the bullet hole, splattering on Big Black’s face.
“Drip, drip, drip…” Big Black had already started urinating under his crotch. He had never killed anyone, the killing was always done by another, now watching his boss die right in front of him like that, Big Black’s psyche completely shattered.
“He is your role model, you can choose this path too,” Liu Hun said to Big Black.
“Don’t kill me! Don’t kill me! I’ll speak! I’ll speak!” Big Black instantly panicked and told Liu Hun everything he knew.
“So, it’s him!” Liu Hun narrowed his eyes, a terrifying light bursting forth.
At the Hong Kong Police Department, high-ranking officer Liang Hongcai’s office door received a series of knocks.
“Come in!” Liang Hongcai said without raising his head.
With a creak, the door opened, “Officer Liang, Inspector Yang is looking for you.”
“Inspector Yang?” Liang Hongcai was somewhat surprised, no wonder he hadn’t seen the reports in the newspapers, he hadn’t expected Yang Xinrui to still be alive, “Okay, I’ll be right there!” With that, Liang Hongcai closed the file and immediately rose to leave the office.
As soon as Liang Hongcai left the office, a cleaning cart was pushed over, and then the female police officer was told, “Excuse me, could you open the door? It’s time to clean today.”
The female police officer thought about the duty roster and immediately nodded, “Right, right, right! I almost forgot it’s time to clean the office today. Please come in! Just don’t touch anything on the table!”
“Okay!” The masked cleaner easily entered the chief inspector’s office and then methodically started cleaning.
“Tap!” A small pill bottle accidentally dropped onto the floor, and the cleaner immediately bent down to pick it up.
“Be careful there, those are the chief inspector’s quick heart-saving pills. Don’t lose them,” the female police officer reminded from the doorway.
“Okay! Don’t worry!” The cleaner said, placing the small bottle back on the desk.
Ten minutes later, the cleaner left the chief inspector’s office and pushed the cleaning cart out of the police station.
Liang Hongcai returned to his office in a huff, and as soon as he sat down, he received a call from Superintendent Ren Darong requesting a meeting. He rose impatiently, preparing to attend the meeting, but took only two steps before feeling a tightness in his chest. He immediately grabbed the quick heart-saving pills from the desk and threw two into his mouth.
“Phew!” Liang Hongcai took a breath, loosened his tie, and then opened his office door.
“Bang!” As soon as he opened the door, Liang Hongcai went dark and fell to the floor.
“Inspector Liang! Inspector Liang! What’s wrong with you?”
“Call an ambulance! Call an ambulance quick!”
“Go notify Inspector Liang’s family! Hurry and notify them!”
“…”
Surrounded by the chaotic, noisy shouts, Liang Hongcai gradually lost consciousness. It was only then he realized what Yang Xinrui had meant by her words—debts must eventually be repaid!
Liang Hongcai’s death was concluded as a sudden cardiac failure with no effective resuscitation, and a brief memorial service was held for him at the Hong Kong police station.
Less than a week after Liang Hongcai’s death, Yang Xinrui was promoted to Senior Inspector of Hong Kong, becoming one of the rare female inspectors in the city, all to Liu Hun’s satisfaction, with the unexpected natural cause of the former inspector’s death and his partner’s fortunate rise.
“Sister! Did you really like him scolding?” Yang Zihuan asked her sister while looking at the Hong Kong scenery from the floor-to-ceiling windows.
“What do you know, you little girl?” Yang Xinrui replied with a light smile. Although she felt sweet inside, she wasn’t willing to admit it.
“I’m over eighteen, okay? I’m not any little girl!” Yang Zihuan argued unhappily and then asked, “Sister, what does it mean when a person kisses you… like a French, deep kiss?”
Yang Zihuan asked, her eyes fixed on her sister. Although she already had an answer in her heart, she still felt it wasn’t quite right to compete with her sister for a man, a question that had troubled her for days.
“Why are you asking this? Have you been kissed?” Yang Xinrui asked curiously, unaware of what had happened behind her back that day.
“No… just answer me!” Yang Zihuan dodged the question.
“It should be! Hmm… definitely!” Yang Xinrui replied, drawing on her limited experience of love.
“Oh!” Yang Zihuan nodded, her young mind wandering.
While the sisters were talking, Liu Hun arrived at the restaurant in the Observation Tower; Yang Zihuan saw Liu Hun and promptly sat up properly.
“Sorry to keep you waiting,” Liu Hun said with a smile to the sisters.
“It’s fine, we also just arrived a short while ago,” Yang Xinrui answered with a smile, looking at Liu Hun’s face and thinking about the conversation on that day, which made her increasingly happy.
“Let’s order!” Liu Hun handed the menu to the sisters.
“Um… you own the Imperial City, don’t you?” Yang Zihuan suddenly asked Liu Hun.
“Yes!” Liu Hun nodded in response.
“Zihuan, don’t ask nonsense!” Yang Xinrui didn’t know what her impish little sister was up to; before she got sick, she had indeed caused her quite a bit of trouble, and nearly every romance had been spoiled by this sister.
“You order, I’m not hungry!” Yang Zihuan retorted to her sister, then asked, “What are the conditions for becoming an artist in your company?”
“Zihuan!” Yang Xinrui quickly tried to restrain her sister; she had always been taught what behavior was polite and what was not, but unfortunately, since their parents had died not long after Yang Zihuan was born and with her life busy being a police officer, she hadn’t had time to educate Yang Zihuan at home.
“No worries! I quite like her,” Liu Hun smiled at Yang Xinrui and then said to Yang Zihuan, “You want to be an artist?”
“You just said you liked me?” Yang Zihuan asked Liu Hun, her lips pursed and her gaze meaningful.
