The Fortunate Demoniac Little Village Doctor -
Chapter 123 - 123 122 Happiness
123: Chapter 122: Happiness 123: Chapter 122: Happiness “Ah!
You…you…
you’re still not letting go?!” Ren Peiling screamed at Liu Hun, completely lacking the usual demeanor of a female official, instead resembling an injured little deer.
Her heart filled with waves of injustice, the treasure she had protected for over twenty years had, due to a bizarre twist of fate, been touched by this man before her.
And considering their prior incident, as she thought it over, she shivered when she felt the warmth of Liu Hun’s palm on her chest.
Why am I still reacting like this!
Is this man really my nemesis?
Ren Peiling’s feelings were completely indescribable and mixed, truly a combination of all flavors—sour, sweet, bitter, spicy, and numbing!
“Director Ren!
I’m sorry!
It wasn’t intentional!
Hear me out!” Liu Hun quickly let go, fumbled like a frantic crab to cover her up again, and as he did so, he pondered over how such a light thing could support such heavy stuff.
While thinking, Liu Hun suppressed his voice and told Ren Peiling everything that had happened before, as well as explaining the misunderstanding of his recent actions.
Ren Peiling initially had a good impression of Liu Hun, and upon hearing his explanation about the recent misunderstanding, her heart instantly eased.
Being sensible and not a whimsical young woman, she knew the situation well so, blushing, she lowered her head and said to Liu Hun, “You…
you turn around first, I need to get dressed.”
Seeing her reaction, Liu Hun knew she was okay and quickly turned around.
After Ren Peiling dressed in her dress and got out of bed, she touched her feverish cheek and asked Liu Hun, “What should we do now?”
Liu Hun coldly glanced at Gao Xiaofeng, who was struggling with resentment, and then said to Ren Peiling, “He is ruthless, and my hands are fierce.
This man will have to lay in the hospital for months even if we don’t cripple him.
As for this mess created by the village ahead…”
Before Liu Hun could finish, Ren Peiling, in a suppressed voice, interrupted, “We can’t be rash!
Dealing with Huang Xiaofeng and those workshops in the village ahead can’t be handled harshly.
This Huang must have significant backing, and Xie Heguo is not somebody we can afford to provoke directly.
Otherwise, they might find some pretext to throw you in jail, and both the village ahead and Wanbao Village would be doomed.”
Liu Hun leaned close to Ren Peiling’s ear and whispered softly, “Besides fists, I have other strategies.
Want to see?”
“Don’t…” Ren Peiling suddenly shrank like a touched mimosa, her just-calmed face suddenly blushing again, shyly stuttering, “My…
my ears are very sensitive.”
Liu Hun was taken aback, not expecting to uncover a treasure with this strike, realizing Ren Peiling was indeed a woman full of surprises.
“What…
what strategies do you have?” Ren Peiling, eager to avoid embarrassment, quickly changed the subject.
Liu Hun pointed at himself, then at the bound Huang Xiaofeng, and then covered Huang Xiaofeng’s hate-filled eyes with a bed sheet, wrapping it snugly around him.
Then, tearing two long strips of cloth from the sheet, he stuffed them under the door.
Ren Peiling, standing by the side, was totally clueless about what Liu Hun was up to, not yet seeing any clever tactics from him.
Just as Ren Peiling was puzzled, so were the two addicts outside the door, who were bewildered by the silence inside when they saw the cloth strips being stuffed through the door crack.
Done for!
We’ve been spotted!
Lin Fugui and Yu Weihong exchanged looks, the same thought popping into their minds.
The fire in their bellies suddenly turned into a fart, their legs trembling uncontrollably, unsure how to explain to Gao Xiaofeng.
“Blind your eyes, what shouldn’t be seen, and then carry the guy named Guan next door for me to beat severely!” Liu Hun stood inside, pinched his throat, and said in a hoarse voice, making it hard to distinguish who was speaking.
With a creak, the door opened, and Yu Weihong and Lin Fugui were at the door feeling for the bound Huang Xiaofeng.
They forced their eyes wide open but couldn’t catch a glimpse of Ren Peiling apart from feeling the desperately struggling Huang Xiaofeng.
The two dragged Huang Xiaofeng out; it was like pulling a heavy sow, struggling for a long time.
Liu Hun kicked at Huang Xiaofeng, sending all three with the chair out of the room, then shut the door.
Soon, Ren Peiling heard sounds like hitting a punching bag and painful screams that seemed to penetrate the flesh from next door.
“They…
are they really beating Huang Xiaofeng?!” Ren Peiling widened her eyes and looked at Liu Hun in disbelief.
She never expected Liu Hun’s tactics to be so clever, to beat a man like that and not take responsibility.
“Seeing as how Lin Fugui and Yu Weihong hate me, I reckon Huang Xiaofeng will be in the hospital for months.
What do you think?
Using others to bite for you, not bad, right?” Liu Hun smiled and asked Ren Peiling, pleased with himself—the score was settled, faces were bashed, and yet they could do nothing against him directly!
“Xie Heguo was sipping the soup that trickled down from Huang Xiaofeng’s oily schemes, and now that we’ve dealt with Huang Xiaofeng, he’s surely going to heavily bribe Xie Heguo to mess with us both.
So, convincing Xie Heguo is likely a no-go,” Liu Hun analyzed to Ren Peiling.
Huang Xiaofeng had played them ruthlessly, and now he was like an abacus without a frame; you could shake it all you wanted, but it wouldn’t make a sound.
They only had one other option now!
“What should we do?” Ren Peiling asked Liu Hun, clearly on the same page as him – not only could they not persuade Xie Heguo, but they were likely to be targets of his retaliation.
“Let’s figure it out as we go, but first, we need to leave this village!” Liu Hun said, opening the door and walking out with Ren Peiling, while another room was full of lively noise!
Yu Weihong just finished the third round, and right behind him, Lin Fugui took to the field, determined to bash Liu Hun, the bastard, without mercy.
Lin Fugui picked up a chair leg that had fallen to the floor during the commotion, weighed it in his hand, and hey!
It felt good in his grip!
“Thwack!
Thwack!
Thwack!”
Lin Fugui swung the chair leg left and right, following up quickly on the right.
Each strike landed on Huang Xiaofeng’s head, making sounds like beating a gourd.
“Village Chief Yu!
Listen to that!
How does it sound?
Better than any woman singing in a karaoke!
Let’s give him another on the right!” Lin Fugui commented, hitting Huang Xiaofeng on the right side of his head again with the chair leg.
“Exactly, exactly!
I knew you were a kindred spirit the moment I heard those sounds, Director Lin!
What do they call this activity in Sauna City, Happy Whack Whack?
That’s the sound!” Yu Weihong, catching his breath, flattered Lin Fugui as he approached him and remarked, “Director Lin, your Happy Whack Whack technique could use some work though!”
“Why don’t you bring some fresh ideas then, Village Chief?” Lin Fugui looked at Yu Weihong with a mischievous grin, not expecting the village chief to be so full of surprises.
Yu Weihong took off his own leather shoes, held them in his hand, and with a sneaky smile said, “You can’t do it with a cover!
That blocks it, you know, Director Lin!
This Happy Whack Whack needs a direct hit, flesh to flesh!”
While talking, Yu Weihong pulled off the hood covering Huang Xiaofeng’s head and without missing a beat, swung the shoe straight into Huang Xiaofeng’s face.
“A real man doesn’t look back at what’s done!
Listen to that sound!
Listen!
Whack whack!
Do you hear it?” Yu Weihong, still facing Lin Fugui and squinting proudly, swung the shoe again, flipping from backhand to forehand, slicker than Liu Guoliang.
“Stop!
Stop!
Village Chief, stop!” Lin Fugui, his face filled with horror, looked at the person tied to the chair whose swollen, blood-leaking face didn’t seem to resemble Liu Hun but rather someone else entirely.
“A man!
You can’t just finish in three minutes.
He needs enough to satisfy!” Yu Weihong declared, backhanding again, directing Huang Xiaofeng’s face towards them.
Lin Fugui, peering closer, could tell despite the disfigured face – the nose wasn’t a nose, the eyes not eyes.
But the villainous look on his face, he could recognize no matter the distortion.
“Huang… Huang President!” Lin Fugui pushed Yu Weihong away and hurriedly went to untie Huang Xiaofeng.
Just when Yu Weihong was enjoying himself, Lin Fugui pushed him aside inexplicably.
Turning his head, his eyes shrank instantly, nearly soiling his pants, rushing to also help untie Huang Xiaofeng.
“My dear mother, what stinking stuff did they stuff in your mouth?
President Huang, are you okay?” Lin Fugui asked, pulling out a foul sock from Huang Xiaofeng’s mouth, and helping him up anxiously.
A head swollen like a sponge, Huang Xiaofeng with a death glare that could kill two generations asked weakly, “Who… who… who did the Happy… Whack Whack…”
“Eh!
Director Lin!
President Huang’s head is bleeding!
Is his skull cracked?” Yu Weihong remarked, looking at Huang Xiaofeng’s head, reminded of eggs plucked from his brewed deer whip blood wine.
Lin Fugui checked; Huang Xiaofeng had already passed out, so he and Yu Weihong hurriedly carried him to seek medical help at the county hospital.
After Liu Hun and Ren Peiling left the village, Liu Hun shared his plan with her.
“What?
You want to take down Xie Heguo?” Ren Peiling stared at Liu Hun.
Ever since she had been in the village with Liu Hun, her eyes seemed to get bigger every time.
