The Fortunate Demoniac Little Village Doctor -
Chapter 117 - 117 116 Contaminated
117: Chapter 116 Contaminated 117: Chapter 116 Contaminated Liu Hun got busy, and the women in the village, including Qin Yue, also got busy.
In the whole village, only Cai Yan was the most idle, still living her carefree and leisurely life, just waiting for Liu Hun to kill the trees and then beg her in tears for mercy, finally revealing his tricks.
That was the script in her mind.
She ate the best vegetables, fruits, and wild game from the village and could go to Kegor’s Place now and then for a change of taste.
Every month, she received airmail packages of clothes—no need to wash, just change.
Bathing in the hot spring became increasingly nourishing, and Cai Yan turned her life in Wanbao Village into a luxurious mountain village travel package.
However, just as Cai Yan’s village life seemed to head toward even grander luxury, worries crept in.
“Look!
See!” Cai Yan stretched out her arm in front of Liu Hun and said.
Her arm, white as if peeled from a lotus root, was covered with many small red bumps.
“Mosquito bites?” Liu Hun asked Cai Yan with confusion.
He was as busy as an ox, panting even while briskly walking and had no time to deal with Cai Yan’s trivial matters.
Seeing Liu Hun’s perfunctory expression, Cai Yan immediately got displeased, “If these were mosquito bites, would I come to you?
This is viral, maybe from skin contact with something bad?”
“Doesn’t that still have nothing to do with me?
How am I supposed to know what you’ve touched?” Liu Hun really couldn’t understand what on earth went through Cai Yan’s mind each day.
Cai Yan withdrew her arm, looking Liu Hun up and down as if he were a new species in a lab, hesitantly asking after a long time, “Was it really not you?”
“Me?!” Liu Hun finally understood that Cai Yan was suspecting him.
In bad humor, he waved her off, “Go play by yourself.
I have no time to mess with you; I’m heading up the mountain now.” With that, he left straight away.
Watching Liu Hun’s departing figure, Cai Yan thought to herself, it shouldn’t be Liu Hun, he didn’t have time and probably wouldn’t do such a thing.
Hmm… it must be the climate and humidity of Wanbao Village causing it.
Continue hot spring treatments, and it’ll get better over time.
A while later, not only did the red bumps on Cai Yan’s body not improve, but they got worse.
Additionally, Du Yueling and others began showing mild symptoms of the same issue.
Meanwhile, busy with his work on the mountains and fields, Liu Hun returned home only to find that both Qin Yue, who had anything to say, and Fen Ran, who was doing house chores, or even Du Yueling, who came back from teaching, were scratching themselves like they were performing a monkey show, either scratching where they could in front of him, or secretly where they couldn’t.
“Yueling!
Wait!
What’s wrong with you all?
Why is everyone itching?” Liu Hun stopped Du Yueling, who was about to go upstairs, and asked.
Du Yueling hurriedly released her arm from scratching, looking down at Liu Hun, uncertain of how to explain.
Since the steamy incident in the hot spring, she felt a bit shy confronting him.
Liu Hun noticed small red bumps on Du Yueling’s exposed hand, took her hand for a better look, and immediately asked, “How come you also have this stuff?”
“Do you have it too?
It must be due to the change from farming to forestry.” Du Yueling promptly raised her head to ask Liu Hun.
“Do I have it, no—Cai Yan mentioned it to me before.
Now, tell me, how did this happen?” Liu Hun pulled Du Yueling aside, seating her to discuss.
Faced with Liu Hun, Du Yueling couldn’t lie, so she truthfully recounted the events.
“Of course, it’s not an issue with Wanbao Village; if it were from agriculture conversion, everyone in Wanbao Village would be scratching their skin off!” Liu Hun said, holding Du Yueling’s hand as he let the Qi Force flow into her body.
“I’ll press some acupoints to unblock the Qi and blood flow, it should help a lot.
But also…” suddenly, Liu Hun thought of something, “Why is it that only the women who frequented the hot springs developed these bumps?”
This got Du Yueling thinking and made her pause, seemingly realizing something.
“It’s probably the hot spring causing this—these days, bathe at home.
I’ll find some time to check out what’s going on with that hot spring.” Liu Hun told Du Yueling, considering the hot spring must have connection to the issue.
Wanbao Village’s nights felt the same as ever, with a slight chill like mountain winds teasing behind the neck, adding a ticklish sensation.
Taking advantage of the bright moonlight, Liu Hun came alone to the hot spring’s edge, determined to find out if this was the source of the problem.
Under the moonlight, the bubbling spring didn’t look any different from before, with bubbles everywhere, making it hard to see clearly.
Liu Hun used the Qi Force to elevate his vision, rendering the entire bottom of the pool visible as clearly as a fish swimming in it, for a mere five seconds, but he spotted something significant!
“Something’s wrong!” Liu Hun discovered that earlier, the fish at the spring bottom used to swim energetically and appeared sleek like silver leaves, but now they lay on the bottom like dead dogs, some even turning red.
Catch one and have a look!
Having an idea, Liu Hun dove into the water.
With Qi Force in his lungs, he swam freely like a fish, although this fake fish trying to catch a real fish wasn’t an easy task.
First grab—nothing!
Second attempt—still missed it… Liu Hun didn’t know how long he churned through the water but finally caught a fish.
He emerged from the water with a little fish in his hand… stunned!
The moon was still the same moon, Hai Tang was still the same Hai Tang, and the hot spring was still the same hot spring… except for one additional person, who wore nothing, squatting over with wide eyes staring at Liu Hun—Cai Yan!
“Ah!”
Cai Yan let out a piercing scream, and the surrounding trees shook their leaves in fright.
As she attempted to run, she unexpectedly slipped and fell into the water, choking and fainting as if the film suddenly broke.
Upon seeing this, Liu Hun quickly pocketed the fish and hurried to pull Cai Yan out.
He had seen her body, both where it bulged and where it was slender, before, but holding her now, it felt utterly different, like a blades of grass tickling from foot to chest, leaving a dryness in his throat that he felt could only be quenched by a fierce kiss on her tender red lips.
Though this thought ran through his mind, Liu Hun was not the kind to take advantage of someone’s vulnerability; he quickly wrapped Cai Yan in a bath towel and carried her home.
The cool night wind revived Cai Yan, murmuring incoherently, she snuggled closer into Liu Hun’s embrace like a kitten seeking warmth.
Then suddenly realizing something was amiss, she snapped her eyes open…
“You… put me down!
You perv!
Shameless!” Cai Yan breathlessly shouted at Liu Hun, only to find herself in his arms.
Liu Hun glanced at Cai Yan; even in her weakened state, she flourished with intensity.
He replied, “I was there first, catching fish from the bottom all along.
You came later, without checking if there’s anybody, and then… started taking off clothes!
Who’s to blame?”
“Are you a water ghost, staying so long without a sound?
I don’t buy your nonsense!
And I… forget it!” Cai Yan stopped struggling, but still pouted and argued with Liu Hun.
Liu Hun didn’t want to argue with Cai Yan unnecessarily and merely stated, “No matter what you think, you mustn’t approach that hot spring pool in the future.”
“You say no, and there’s no going?
By what right?” Cai Yan wasn’t about to just follow Liu Hun’s words.
“Look at this fish.
Aren’t you supposed to know something about biology?
Do you think it’s normal?” Liu Hun cautiously held Cai Yan, showing her the fish he just captured.
Cai Yan had seen the fish in the hot spring and immediately recognized the red-tinged fish as sickly, rendering her speechless and realizing the hot spring was polluted.
“I’ll investigate what’s going on with that hot spring pool.
Also, I’ll press some acupoints on you to unblock the Qi and blood flow, and the red bumps will get better,” Liu Hun assured Cai Yan.
He now pondered what exactly had happened to that hot spring.
“You… are really that good?” Cai Yan asked with some skepticism.
“Try it!” Liu Hun held Cai Yan’s waist with one hand and deliberately pressed her foot with the other.
“Ah… hahaha… don’t… can’t… hahaha… ticklish… hahaha… stop… you bad egg…” Cai Yan giggled endlessly, wriggling in Liu Hun’s arms as he carried her home.
Giggling incessantly, Cai Yan was carried home by Liu Hun.
As soon as he put her down, she wiped the tear from laughing off her eye with the back of her hand, biting her lip while glaring at Liu Hun.
Although her gaze seemed cold and fierce, it carried not a hint of hatred but rather a glimmer of joy.
“Bad egg!
I despise you!” Cai Yan ended with these teasingly reproachful words, turning and heading back into the house.
In a night full of dreams and mountain winds, Cai Yan curled up on her bed like a kitten and slept peacefully.
That night, she had a dream that made her change her underpants the next morning.
The next morning in the main hall, except for Qin Yue who was busy in the village, everyone else is gathered there.
Liu Hun, using his unique vision, scanned each of the women; everything private was seen thoroughly although he mainly intended to locate where the bumps were.
Without Qi Force coursing aimlessly through their bodies, it’d just waste time.
With this radar-like vision, Liu Hun swiftly cured the red bumps on the women’s bodies using his superpower.
Meanwhile, Cai Yan gazed at Liu Hun with mixed feelings that she couldn’t articulate, eventually muttering to herself, “Taking advantage of me and making me have such dreams…”
