Chapter 393: Chapter 81 Searching for the Divine Stone

Several days later, Fu Xi, wearing his Yin Yang Taoist robe, appeared in the square in front of the deliberation hall.

Before the hall, led by Yun Hu and his fellow brothers of dawn, stood all the tributors of the Tributor Pavilion.

Fu Xi soared into the air and said solemnly, "Today, I command you to go to Dongsheng Divine Continent to search for the Five-Colored Divine Stone! This concerns the survival of our Human Clan! Once you complete this task, I shall celebrate your success!"

"For the Human Clan, for Huaxia Heaven and Earth!"

The entire Human Clan’s Tributor Pavilion sprang into action, tens of thousands of tributors led by Yun Hu, dawn, Luo He, and Red Silk, lined up in orderly rows, quietly waiting at the eastern corner of the square.

There was a platform there, hundreds of yards in radius and five feet high, carved with intricate golden runes, overflowing with pure Primordial Energy.

This was the Void Dao Platform that Fu Xi had forged with countless Innate Refining Materials after seventy-seven fortynine days of refining.

The golden runes carved on the Dao Platform formed a large Void Magic Array. By inputting the matching Primordial Energy, one can traverse the Void directly, breaking through the star gates and arriving at Dongsheng Divine Continent.

With a wave of his hand, Fu Xi proclaimed loudly, "I will be waiting for your good news in Chen Capital!"

"Hail the Emperor’s command!"

Tens of thousands of cultivators shouted in unison, their momentum surged as they stepped onto the Void Array Platform in an orderly fashion and headed towards Dongsheng Divine Continent.

At this moment, the clouds over Dongsheng Divine Continent roiled, the azure sky looked as if it had just been washed by water, and the nascent Great Sun was not too harsh, but the day was bathed in dazzling light.

"Boom!"

A cultivator army of tens of thousands unexpectedly tore through the Void and appeared beneath the vast daylight. This space jump was very smooth!

They emerged in a small hill extremely close to the Human Clan’s Village, where amid red flowers and green willows, traces of Human Clan activities could be seen.

"Everyone, the four of us shall search in the directions of east, south, west, and north. Regardless of success, we shall meet in the exact center of Dongsheng Divine Continent on the first day of every lunar new year!" Dawn looked at the sky, roughly divided the tasks, and then went straight westward towards Dongsheng Divine Continent.

"Folks, I wish you good luck!" Luo He also smiled slightly as he led a team of cultivators towards the north of Dongsheng Divine Continent.

The remaining Yun Hu the Old Tao and Red Silk exchanged glances and led teams of cultivators to search in the eastern and southern parts of Dongsheng Divine Continent with tacit understanding.

Such a large movement of the Human Clan could not possibly escape the eyes of all the powers in Huaxia, whether immortals, buddhas, demons, or ghosts, all turned their attention here, and Dongsheng Divine Continent seemed to become lively.

Days passed by one after another, and the Human Clan’s tributors were still tirelessly traversing the land of Dongsheng Divine Continent. And the Heavenly Court also began to deploy troops and generals, seemingly with no issue.

The sun over Huaxia Land appeared to be a tragedy repeated year after year, unchanged, along with the Saints’ moods, as if the unpleasant events had been gradually forgotten.

Time flew by, fifteen years passed in the blink of an eye. Everything on Huaxia Land remained as it was, ordinary Human Clan members were still radiant, playing the role of the protagonists of the third Calamity, living a prosperous and fulfilling life.

They could never know that for the looming crisis, Fu Xi had been anxious for a full fifteen years.

As the Demon Gate is about to open, no good news has come from Dongsheng Divine Continent. This made Fu Xi worry every day, with no interest in Cultivation.

The East Sea Penglai Immortal Island is a hidden paradise, unaffected by the matters of karma and chaos on Huaxia Land.

Li Qingming leisurely sat in front of the bamboo forest beside Vitality Hall, watching Xiong Da train Kong Xuan and Golden Peng, feeling amused.

Lord Xiong stood up, holding a thin bamboo stick in his paw, knocking and slapping the two occasionally.

"Little Peng, did you skip lunch? Use the Yin Yang Realm for defense!"

"Kong Xuan, your Five Elements Space should expand a bit more!"

"Pfft!"

Just then, the ground in front of Li Qingming suddenly churned, and Zi Shu with his large buckteeth jumped out from the soil.

He patted off the non-existent mud and said to Li Qingming, "Master, Li Qianqiu has already mastered the Buddha’s Demon Suppressing Scripture and advanced three levels in Cultivation, breaking through to the Sub-Saint Early Stage!"

Li Qingming nodded and asked, "How are things on Fu Xi’s end?"

"Ah, the same old! But I always feel something’s off with that little guy, Dawn!" Zi Shu stroked his buckteeth and showed a puzzled look in his small eyes.

"Oh?" Li Qingming smiled slightly and asked, "What’s off about him?"

"I can’t put my finger on it, but the feeling he gives me is just sinister! Yes, very sinister!" Zi Shu tilted his head and pondered for a while, finally coming up with that sentence.

Li Qingming laughed and said, "Alright, find a way to lead Luo He to the Five-Colored Divine Stone. If this drags on any longer, Luo Hou’s Demon Race army would destroy this world long ago!"

"Heh heh, damn right! It was about time; those folks are really too dumb!" Zi Shu chuckled, then dived back into the ground, disappearing without a trace in a few breaths.

Li Qingming shook his head and, looking at the increasingly full Taiyin Star in the sky, murmured, "The full moon is near, the fifteenth is fast approaching!"

...

On the northern side of Dongsheng Divine Continent, Luo He in a moon-white long robe furrowed his brows as he explored a valley.

For the past fifteen years, he had disbanded the over ten thousand practitioners from the Human Clan’s Tributor Pavilion and sent them out individually to search for extraordinary places. Yet, after all this time, they had still come up empty-handed.

Although the four teams would gather once every year, the results remained unchanged.

"Luo He, Sir, not far from here lies Aolai Peak! Beyond Aolai Peak to the north lies the lands overseas. Since Emperor of Humans once said that the Five-Colored Divine Stone should be within Dongsheng Divine Continent, there’s probably no need to explore the overseas territories, right?" A tributor closely following behind Luo He took several steps forward and suggested.

"We will exit the boundaries of Dongsheng Divine Continent after crossing this mountain peak?" Luo He was startled and looked somewhat surprised.

"Yes, Sir Luo He!" The tributor who spoke was named Zhang Wei, with a square face and a thick black beard under his chin, built like a bear and with powerful limbs,

"Alright, let’s head back... Hmm? What’s that?" Luo He nodded, about to suggest they return, but then he saw a milky-white point of light drifting toward the north some tens of zhang away.

He quickly leaped into the air, his form shooting towards the north like a bolt of lightning.

"Sir Luo He!" Zhang Wei was taken aback and gestured for the few Human Clan Practitioners behind him to follow as they leapt and vanished from sight.

"Where do you think you’re going?" Luo He’s eyes shone with excitement, thinking that this glowing orb might just be the Five-Colored Divine Stone. If they could find it, the Human Clan would have a fighting chance.

Traveling roughly several tens of li to the north, the white light dived into a massive forest.

In the dense woods, huge evergreen pines and cypresses hundreds of zhang high were common, and plump Immortal Herbs could be seen everywhere. Countless strange rocks and Red Cliffs could be found in the distance, and there was no shortage of small animals and Immortal Birds.

If it weren’t for the current crisis facing the Human Clan, Luo He would be tempted to settle down here and live a life like in a paradise.

"What a remarkable Immortal Sacred Land!" Zhang Wei, who followed closely behind Luo He, was moved by the extraordinary sight before him.

"Sir Luo He, did you catch that white light we saw earlier?" Zhang Wei saw Luo He looking around and came over to ask.

Luo He came back to his senses and shook his head, "I did not catch it! However, I feel that white light has a certain connection to the Five-Colored Divine Stone, and if we can find it, we may have hope of finding the Divine Stone!"

"But this place is so vast, how do we search for it?" Zhang Wei scratched his head, clearly troubled.

"Look, there it is!"

Just as they were talking, the white light appeared once again before them.

This time, they both got a clear view. The white light was about the size of a fist, completely creamy white, and in the center, there seemed to be a pair of eyes and a mouth.

Zhang Wei and Luo He looked at each other and said, "What is this thing?"

"Hahaha, you’ve made Mr. Shu laugh to death, you two little dummies!" The white light laughed wildly, seeming very pleased with itself.

"Damn it, to dare ridicule us, this is intolerable!" Zhang Wei instantly flew into a rage, his body swelling in a bizarre manner, as he shot his fist towards the white light.

The white light easily dodged Zhang Wei’s Direct Punch, moved a few steps back, and said with a laugh: "You big oaf, trying to sneak attack! Too bad Mr. Shu isn’t falling for it, hahaha!"

"Damn it!" Zhang Wei was massively angered, his Blood Qi surging, as his fist, as large as a sandbag, hammered down toward the white light with even more ferocity than before.

The white light continued to laugh and taunt Zhang Wei as if treating the whole situation as a game and not taking him seriously at all.

"Wait, Mr. Shu, could it be..." Luo He had found the voice of the white light familiar from the beginning, and now, connecting it to this strange nickname, he seemed to have figured out something.

"If you want the Five-Colored Divine Stone, follow me!" The white light, seemingly tired of the game, whizzed away towards the summit of Huaguo Mountain.

Luo He stopped the infuriated Zhang Wei with a shake of his head and quickly followed the white light upwards.

At the summit of Huaguo Mountain, it was still the same as fifteen years ago. Robust trees clustered around rocks, and colorful plants scattered in the crevices of the cliffside. Thick, arm-sized vines covered the precipices.

A gigantic boulder, about a zhang in height, split in the middle, with a fist-sized grey stone stuck in the crevice, from which incredibly rich nature’s spiritual energy was rolling in from all around.

Luo He watched as the self-proclaimed Mr. Shu, the white light, rushed toward the fist-sized rock and then vanished without a trace.

"Sir Luo He, where’s that shameless white light?" Zhang Wei stepped forward, his upper body bare, menacingly wielding a chillingly gleaming Wolf Fang Club.

Luo He glanced at Zhang Wei’s attire and pointed directly ahead at the large rock, saying, "Do you see the stone lodged in the crevice of that boulder? That white light just dove right in there, and then it was gone! It must have escaped, I suppose!"

"Damn it, let’s see where you can run now!" Apparently, Zhang Wei was somewhat simple-minded. Even though Luo He had made it so clear, he was still not satisfied. Lifting the Wolf Fang Club high, he fiercely smashed it down on the boulder.

Luo He hurriedly tried to stop him, saying, "Hey, don’t be rash, you really shouldn’t... crap!"

"BOOM!"

The rock splinters flew, and the boulder instantly burst apart! (To be continued. If you like this work, you are welcome to vote for it with a recommendation or monthly ticket at Qidian (qidian.com). Your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users, please visit m.qidian.com to read.)
