Chapter 366: Chapter 54: Take Action, Spare No One!
"Sir, sir..." The shifty-eyed fellow suddenly pointed towards a distant mountain a hundred miles away, and said, "There’s smoke coming from there, it must be the people of the Jiang Clan Tribe!"
Xiao Tian followed the man’s finger and looked into the distance, then after a while said, "Huang Lin, you’ve done well! After completing this mission from our master, I will personally recommend you for a reward! Let’s go!"
Huang Lin was originally a mole rat who had attained Dao, and people of his small stature were always easily satisfied.
At this moment, his face flushed with excitement. Being praised by the usually reticent Xiao Tian was already the greatest honor for this small figure.
A group of Demon Slaves closely followed behind Xiao Tian, like a surging black torrent, rushing towards the distant mountain a hundred miles away.
Soon, the entire Void trembled. Tens of thousands of Demon Slaves, all dressed in black, flew through the air at the same time, their massive momentum causing the Void to roar with booming sounds.
A hollow in the mountains a hundred miles away from the Jiang Clan Tribe.
This was an open terrain surrounded by mountains on all sides, where the Sutra of Salvation had sent these people of the Human Clan, but not with any good intentions.
While traveling to the Eastern realms, Zhunti had once asked the Sutra of Salvation to take ten thousand Hidden Foxes with him. The name of the Hidden Foxes, containing the character for "Hidden", naturally had to do with concealment and hiding.
Although their strength was very low, with the highest among them only having the realm of a Taiyi Xuanxian, they possessed an almost uncanny ability—bewitchment.
Ten thousand Hidden Foxes, if formed into the Golden Body Trapped Dragon Formation, supplemented by the Sutra of Salvation, even a Daluo Golden Immortal who entered the formation, would convert to the Buddhist Sect within moments.
Before setting out, the Sutra of Salvation had taken these Hidden Foxes into a Space Spiritual Treasure, planning to convert some of the people from the Human Clan to Western Buddhism after the mission of plundering Lie Mountain was completed.
But before they could succeed, they had stirred up Li Qingming, an abnormality. Therefore, they had to bring them all back to Mount Sumeru unopened. As for these forgotten people of the Jiang Clan Tribe, they were left to their own devices in this valley.
Nu Deng, who had long since returned to the tribe, held Xiao Tian, who was "giggling" and laughing in her arms, and sat quietly by the fire, watching her people sing and dance, feeling very content.
"Nu Deng, don’t you think this life is very fulfilling?" Guang Chengzi, dressed in a pale moon-white robe, gazed at the leaping flames in front of him and asked with heavy emotion.
In fact, Guang Chengzi got the most out of this game between the East and West. Although his cultivation had not yet recovered, he had finally made a breakthrough in his realm. Now, Guang Chengzi possessed the strength of the peak of the Quasi-Saint Middle Stage, and once his Mana accumulated, the breakthrough in cultivation would naturally follow.
"Master!" Nu Deng stood up and respectfully saluted Guang Chengzi, saying, "Now, our Human Clan has clothes to wear, houses to live in, and no worries for food or clothing. How can it not be fulfilling?"
"Hehe!" Guang Chengzi laughed happily like a child and said, "Nu Deng, some things are not as you think they are!"
As they were talking, suddenly a young man, barefooted and practicing his dance steps not far away, with his hair and beard flying, and eyes bloodshot, ran towards the bonfire. Grabbing a burning piece of wood from it, he attacked the people next to him while shouting unconsciously, "Hahaha, I kill, I kill! This Human body is simply marvelous!"
"Er Heizi, what’s wrong with you? Don’t scare me... Ah!" The man originally standing by the young man’s side looked in panic at the man holding a torch and approaching him.
"Hahaha, what’s wrong? Tell me, what’s wrong with me? Kill, kill, kill!" The young man seemed to not recognize the man at all and unhesitatingly swung the piece of wood toward the man’s head.
"Boom!"
A brilliant burst of flames instantly set the man ablaze. He became like a giant fireball, his body burning with unbearably scorching flames, darting chaotically amongst the dense crowd.
Guang Chengzi frowned slightly, waving his hand to cast a stream of Yuqing True Essence, quenching the flames on the man’s body. Then, with another wave of his hand, he grabbed the young man shrouded in black qi, known as Er Heizi.
"Daoist magic?" Er Heizi’s eyes filled with blood as he muttered softly.
"What a brazen Outer Heaven Demon, daring to attempt to usurp and nest inside!" With just one glance at Er Heizi, Guang Chengzi detected the Outer Heaven Demon lurking in his mind.
His right hand brimmed with Yuqing True Essence, and with a casual flick in the Void, a talisman gleaming with a green light materialized out of thin air.
"Yuqing Immortal Skill, Evil Punishment!" Guang Chengzi uttered lowly as the tender green light drilled into Er Heizi’s forehead, entering his mind.
"Hiss!"
Thick, foul-smelling smoke billowed from the top of Er Heizi’s head. At the same time, a soundless grudge seeped out from around him.
After the time it takes to brew a cup of tea, Er Heizi regained consciousness, looking bewildered at the surrounding tribespeople and said, "What... what happened to you all?"
"He’s awake, he’s awake, Er Heizi’s come around!" The people around could not help but stir up a commotion, bowing to Guang Chengzi in gratitude for his rescue.
Guang Chengzi offered a faint smile and said, "No trouble at all; merely a slight effort! Hm?"
"Ha ha ha, always the compassionate Chan Sect disciple! I truly admire, admire you!" At this moment, dressed in a black robe, Xiao Tian, along with his Demon Slaves, arrived in the ravine.
When he saw Guang Chengzi, dressed in white and resembling a True Immortal, still busy saving Er Heizi, he couldn’t help but brighten his eyes and sighed inwardly, "What a noble and virtuous True Immortal!"
Guang Chengzi frowned at the sight of Xiao Tian and tens of thousands of Demon Slaves behind him, he bowed slightly and said, "May I inquire the esteemed name of this Fellow Daoist? How did you know Guang Cheng is a disciple of the Chan Sect?"
Xiao Tian smiled, revealing a set of snowy white, neat teeth, and said, "You don’t need to know who I am, nor why I know you’re a Chan Sect disciple. All you need to know is..."
Guang Chengzi observed the multitude of demons with Cultivation surpassing that of Taiyi Xuanxian and inwardly sensed trouble.
Previously, he had been severely wounded by Zhunti, and to conserve his Nine Revolutions Golden Pills—for they were exceedingly difficult to refine, and using one meant one less—he postponed restoring his full power. He had merely regulated his breathing briefly before arriving at this ravine.
Currently, with only the Cultivation of a Da Luo Immortal, should over a thousand Taiyi Xuanxian attack him simultaneously, even if they couldn’t kill him, they would inflict grievous wounds once more.
Although anxious in his heart, Guang Chengzi’s expression remained unchanged. He calmly looked at Xiao Tian and said, "All I need to know is what?"
"All you need to know is... the dead don’t need to know these things!" Xiao Tian’s body suddenly burst forth with an overwhelming killing intent, a surge of almost tangible energy, emanating a blood-red radiance, soaring toward the heavens.
He suddenly bellowed once more: "Attack, leave none alive!" (To be continued. If you enjoy this work, please visit Qidian (qidian.com) to cast your recommendation and monthly tickets. Your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users please go to m.qidian.com to read.)
