Chapter 359 - 47: Kong Xuan Slays His Corporeal Form to Become a Quasi-Saint

Chapter 359: Chapter 47: Kong Xuan Slays His Corporeal Form to Become a Quasi-Saint

East Sea Penglai Island, where immortal beasts galloped, mountains soared, and the open wilds were full of strange flowers and herbs, yet still resembling an Immortal Realm.

However, in the Vitality Hall at this moment, the atmosphere was somewhat stagnant.

"Qingming, is Kong Xuan truly dead?" Wang Shu’s eyes were red as she stared at the huge light screen before her, her rosy cheeks turning deathly pale.

Li Qingming managed a bitter smile as he took Wang Shu’s little hand, softly consoling, "Girl, Kong Xuan is my disciple! If I don’t let him die, who has the power to do so?"

"But, but Kong Xuan has already expanded into a blood mist with Mana, not even leaving a speck of residue. How is that not death?" Wang Shu stammered, looking at Li Qingming with her watery large eyes almost brimming with tears.

After all, Kong Xuan and his brother disciples are the direct disciples of Li Qingming, and under the love for the house and its crows, Wang Shu still quite liked these lively and playful young fellows.

"Li Qingming, it seems there’s a new turn of events on the battlefield!" At this moment, standing behind Li Qingming, Han Meng suddenly pointed at the light screen and spoke.

Hearing this, Wang Shu immediately turned her head to look at the light screen.

Li Qingming breathed a sigh of relief; he really couldn’t bear Wang Shu’s crying.

As for Han Meng, who helped him out of a bind, he felt like hugging her and giving her a big kiss. It was so timely!

...

"Boom!"

Just as Zhunti was excitedly laughing heartily, the blood mist that had been spreading outwards suddenly stopped dissipating. Then, amidst the sky-full of blood mist, a burst of five-colored radiance suddenly emerged, and the overwhelming blood mist swiftly gathered. After a short while, it transformed into an extremely handsome young man.

He was dressed in a light green Taoist robe, his eyebrows sharp as a sword, his eyes bright as stars. His tall and straight stature, exceeding eight feet in height, brimmed with boundless confidence and pride!

This person was none other than the Five-Colored Peacock, Kong Xuan, who has already faded into nothingness in everyone’s eyes.

Zhunti’s laughter came to an abrupt halt, his expression as ugly as if he had swallowed mouse dung. He stared at Kong Xuan as if he had seen a ghost, his eyes filled with disbelief and astonishment, ultimately turning into a deep-seated venom.

Kong Xuan did not pay any attention to Zhunti but instead lightly slapped his forehead.

"Boom!" a loud noise resounded as the Jade Pure Qi erupted mightily.

A floating cloud followed the Jade Pure Qi from the top of Kong Xuan’s head, manifesting a Daoist who looked exactly like Kong Xuan. However, this Kong Xuan was donned in a red robe that was as fiery as flames, and right in the center of his forehead was a crimson mark of a flame.

At this moment, Kong Xuan was still Kong Xuan, but his body began to exude an unfathomable aura, elusive and difficult to comprehend.

The red-robed Kong Xuan slightly smiled and greeted the green-robed Kong Xuan, "I pay my respects, Fellow Daoist, and wish you peace!"

Kong Xuan laughed heartily, "We are one and the same, there is no need for such courtesies, Fellow Daoist! From now on, you shall be known as Chi Feng, and you may return to Qingyun."

Chi Feng nodded slightly and took a leap, disappearing into Kong Xuan’s Qingyun.

"Cutting the corporeal body?" Zhunti stared dumbfounded at the scene before him, murmuring unconsciously to himself.

Indeed, Kong Xuan had successfully cut away his first corporeal body! However, Kong Xuan’s method of Cutting Three Corpses was different from the method created by Taoist Ancestor Hong Jun.

"The so-called Three Thousand Great Dao, each and every path can lead to enlightenment."

Cutting the Three Corpses is commendable, but for Kong Xuan, who has mastered the Power of the Five Elements Law, cutting the Five Elements Corpse to prove the Great Dao is much easier than Cutting Three Corpses.

This time, Kong Xuan has cut away the Leaving Fire Corpse!

Within the Five-Colored Divine Light, the red light of the Leaving Fire Law becomes even more vigorous.

Kong Xuan murmured to himself, "Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, Earth—there’s nothing beyond the Five Elements in the vast lands of Huaxia Divine Land. So it is, so it is!"

Saying this, he performed a bow in the direction of the East Sea Penglai Island from afar, saying, "Thanks to the Master for his teachings!"

With the Cutting of the Five Elements Fire Corpse completed, Kong Xuan’s cultivation has seen great progress, his entire being exuding an aura profound and mysterious. Although he is several realms behind the Saints, the terrifying might he commands has already reached the early stages of a Sub-Saint.

Kong Xuan, exuding an unparalleled aura, turned his head and gave Zhunti a cold stare. With a flick of his finger, the celebratory clouds above his head unfolded and began to roll violently. Soon after, an antiquated gourd emerged, held aloft by the clouds!

This gourd was red and yellow, about a foot high, radiating with a brilliant and heroic light. It seemed as though the stars in the sky were in rotation upon it—countless in number. It was, unmistakably, the "Primordial Cutting Flying Sword" crafted by Li Qingming!

Kong Xuan reached out and summoned the gourd into his hands. He gently caressed the surface of the gourd and sighed, saying, "Dear gourd, since you have been with me, I have never used you. Even if today I cannot Slay Saints, I must leave a trace of your existence!"

"Buzz!"

The foot-long gourd blossomed with Infinite Immortal Light and, in an indolent float, positioned itself above Kong Xuan’s head.

Kong Xuan sat directly under the gourd, muttering something under his breath. Shortly thereafter, a fine beam of light emerged from within the gourd—three feet tall, and on it appeared an object with brows and eyes. As Kong Xuan continued his incantations, the object shot two dazzling white beams from its eyes, directly at Zhunti, locking onto his Primordial Spirit Sea of Consciousness.

"What is this?" Zhunti was shocked, feeling an urge to fall into slumber. Shaking his head, he felt as if his entire body was locked in place and any slight movement might invite an attack.

Kong Xuan’s expression changed; the brilliant white light from the gourd was undefendable by anyone except the Taoist Ancestor Hong Jun. Unless one blocked him before he cast his spell, once the white light locked on, even a Saint would be slightly affected.

But Zhunti, after all, has the body of a Primordial Saint. Merely shaking his head, he didn’t faint. Helpless, he made a resolve and bowed towards the gourd, saying, "Please, gourd, turn around!"

At Kong Xuan’s command, the mouth of the gourd abruptly turned and spewed out a beam of brilliant light in Zhunti’s direction, invisible to the naked eye. Even Zhunti couldn’t see what it was but felt as though his head was struck by something heavy.

A tremendous force sent him flying, and accompanying this force was a sinister power that infiltrated his body, quietly reaching his Primordial Spirit Sea of Consciousness, intent on completely severing the Primordial Spirit Relics within.

"Damn it!" Zhunti was greatly alarmed and quickly mobilized the energy within his Primordial Spirit Relics, eradicating the invading power.

"Boom!"

A surge of energy waves suddenly rose within Zhunti’s golden Sea of Consciousness. In the blink of an eye, the power was firmly wrapped in a bubble of transparent energy. Then the Primordial Spirit Relics drew near and swallowed this strange power in one gulp.

Zhunti stopped his retreating figure and, in a few flickers, flew back.

His eyes red, he stepped forward and said, "Kong Xuan, no matter what power you just used to harm me, I will take it back from you a thousandfold! Today, I will show you what Saintly Authority truly is!"

"Oh, is that so? Then let’s have this poor Daoist see for myself what this so-called Saintly Authority of yours really is!" Said a casual voice drifting from all directions.

Zhunti and Jieyin heard this exceedingly familiar voice and stiffened abruptly, their expressions turning ugly in an instant. (To be continued.
