The First Demon of the Chan Sect
Chapter 350 - 38: Finally Seeing the Innate Jianmu

Chapter 350: Chapter 38: Finally Seeing the Innate Jianmu

The vast Magic World is enveloped by a sky of blood-red and the rich luster of Wood Magic, which turned the entire Heavenly Vault into a fusion of red and green.

Aoguang brandishes his long knife as if possessed by madness, while Han Meng mechanically draws her Life Divine Bow.

Although there’s only a slight difference in their realms, this world is nevertheless ruled by Magic Elements. Han Meng has the home-field advantage, coupled with the bizarre Innate Treasure Life Set, for a time she fought Aoguang to a standstill.

Han Meng’s body emits thick Wood Elements, and a cold, stern smile crosses the half of her face that’s exposed. Holding the emerald Life Divine Bow and drawing the string to its full extent like a full moon, she exudes a strong aura of killing intent that reaches the clouds.

"Hum!"

A dazzling gold and green Light Arrow slowly forms on the bowstring, its long tail following closely behind the first Arrowhead, striking toward Aoguang’s face.

This arrow seems to become an eternity between Heaven and Earth, shattering the Heavenly Vault completely. Its glaring green radiance, accompanied by the utmost Yin Cold Energy, caused Aoguang’s face to stiffen even before it drew near.

"Hidden Blade Asks the Heavens!" Aoguang hastily retracts the Blood Transformation Divine Saber into his hand. He forcibly blocks the arrow with the broad blade of his saber.

"Divine Dragon Tail!" Afterward, Aoguang taps the Dragon Ball on top of his head, and a golden illusion shapes in the Void. Gradually, as it elongates, a lifelike Divine Dragon emerges in the Void.

"Go!" Aoguang swings his long knife frivolously, slashing fiercely at the illusory Divine Dragon.

The blood-red halo rushes straight into the illusory Divine Dragon’s body, painting its entire dragon form blood-red. Its originally glittering eyes now overflow with blood, emitting inches of Blood Radiance. Endless ferocity, mixed with Dragon Power, terrifies the sky.

"Roar!" The Divine Dragon lets out a clear Dragon Roar, its massive jaws gaping wide. The vividly detailed blood-colored dragon tail whips powerfully through the Void.

"Boom!" With a loud noise, the Void collapses. In an instant, the Divine Dragon burrows into the Void, attacking Han Meng with boundless might.

Han Meng’s pupils, beneath the silver mask, suddenly contract, and her hand movements accelerate. She draws the bowstring fast as the wind, one after another, forming and releasing arrows.

Each one spans dozens of yards, surging with relentless energy.

The Life Divine Bow, a barrage of a hundred arrows, pierces through Heaven and Earth. Over a hundred yard-long Arrow Radiance, interweave into a golden sea, engulfing the Void.

"Spirit, Break the Void!" Han Meng exclaims, as more than a hundred Divine Arrows come surging, transforming into a dazzling heavenly rainbow, splendid and blinding, like stars cutting through the firmament.

"Bang!"

The golden Divine Dragon emerges from the Void, wildly roaring, swinging its giant tail, sweeping across the hundreds of arrowheads.

"Spirit, Return to Ruin!" Han Meng bellows. Her body appears cast from emerald jade, glowing with a thousand yards of greenery. Her fair hands seem to interweave some mysterious energy, forcefully merging together.

Then, all the Divine Arrows in the sky eerily consolidate into one, translating into a gold and green War Spear, its peerless sharpness piercing through Yun Xiao!

"Pfft!"

The gold and green War Spear pierced through easily, like a sheet of paper, without any resistance, it enters the Divine Dragon’s tail and through the body, completely severing the colossal tail.

"Ao!" The illusory Divine Dragon howls in pain, rage intensifying in its eyes. Furious, it looks menacingly at Han Meng, and despite its damaged body, heads straight toward her without losing momentum.

Suddenly, a towering and violent Dragon Qi skyrockets. The Divine Dragon’s eyes burst open like full moons, Long Xu fluttering, its golden body swelling rapidly, the pounding energy rumbles in the Void.

"Not good, it’s going to self-destruct!" A shock strikes Han Meng’s heart, a hint of fear surfaces in her beautiful eyes. She hastily retreats, seeking to escape this ten-mile radius. She believes if the Divine Dragon’s energy bursts forth, its unmatched power would be enough to obliterate everything within ten miles!

But would Aoguang give her the chance to withdraw? The answer is obviously no!

Behold, Aoguang smiles coldly, reaching into the Void with both hands a peculiar, odd khaki-gleaming narrow chain suddenly appears in his grasp.

This chain pulsates with the power of Spatial Laws. Layers upon layers of tiny golden Tao Runes, dense and numerous, cover the entire chain.

"Go!" Aoguang tosses the chain into the Void, the narrow chain growing with the wind, quickly expanding to the thickness of a finger, and astonishingly, reaching a length of a hundred yards or more.

"Lock!" Aoguang’s eyes brim with excitement, he mutters softly. He grasps the air with one hand, and the chain suddenly accelerates, instantly soaring beside Han Meng, tightly clasping her ankle.

"Hm?" Focusing her attention entirely on the illusory Divine Dragon, Han Meng only now realizes she’s fallen into the trap of the foreigner.

Her slender right hand rises swiftly, transforming into a sword, she slashes down at the golden chain. Yet, with her strength, she fiercely strikes a hundred times, but to no avail.

Seeing the Illusion Divine Dragon looming over her, Han Meng bit her silver teeth in anger and gave a resentful glance at Aoguang below. Then, with a wave of her hand, a strange power radiated from Han Meng in all directions. A vast green mist rose, completely obscuring Han Meng and the Illusion Divine Dragon.

"Boom!"

With a thunderous rumble shaking the world, an outrageously violent power that could destroy heaven and earth burst forth! The vast blackish-green lake was instantly evaporated, and the forests within a dozen miles radius were annihilated.

The already damaged void directly spawned a spatial black hole. Countless Outer Heaven Demons madly howled as they wreaked havoc through the black hole.

Soon, the space within a hundred miles was in utter chaos, with a jumble of Magic Elements, boundless Outer Heaven Demonic Qi, and gray Chaos Qi turning this once vibrant Holy Land into a desolate ruin.

Amidst this, roars sounded from all around, and demons danced wildly!

Li Qingming, who had been hiding in the Void Gaps, took out his Qiankun Gourd and began gathering these Outer Heaven Demons and their Demonic Qi.

After a moment, he shook his head helplessly and muttered, "Aoguang, not only does he not know how to appreciate the fairer sex, but he also turned such a fine environment into a wretched haze. Truly, truly..."

Aoguang didn’t care about these things. He raised his head to silently sense the connection with the golden chains but was surprised to find that the chains had vanished! Along with them, Han Meng’s figure was no longer in this space.

"Damn it, she escaped!" Aoguang cursed bitterly. When he inadvertently looked down, he saw the island that was originally at the center of the small lake perfectly intact despite the violent explosion!

Aoguang soared into the sky and landed on the island. He suddenly realized why Han Meng had disappeared so abruptly.

It turned out that this island was a Space Magic Treasure. Intricately laid out on it were a large number of Space Arrays, numerous and independent yet interconnected. On the outer edges of the island, boundless Magic Elements served as guardians, with energy so potent that it rivaled that of a Late Sub-Saint. Naturally, the self-destruction of the Illusion Divine Dragon would not have damaged it.

And Han Meng, if his guess was correct, must have forcibly activated the Space Array to escape from this place.

Realizing this, Aoguang excitedly began to attempt deciphering these arrays.

Unbeknownst to him, Li Qingming needed only a glance to break the Array. At the moment, Li Qingming was casually crossing his legs, quietly waiting beside Aoguang, scrutinizing him as he worked on the Array, and even nonchalantly muttering a couple of silent criticisms. Of course, Aoguang couldn’t hear them.

After about one incense stick of time, Aoguang started to probe these Arrays. With each entry into a space, he would calm down, close his eyes and contemplate for a moment, then proceed with the next step based on his intuition of Spatial Law Power.

After countless walks through these Space Arrays, his vision suddenly brightened, and he arrived in another relatively open space. However, before he could take a good look around, Aoguang felt a violent shock to the Dragon Ball above his head, causing the golden light shield around it to fiercely tremble.

Aoguang hurriedly stabilized the Dragon Ball, summoning more golden light to envelop his body, and only then did he start moving forward.

This was a world void of anything; no tender green vegetation, no vibrant wildlife, and no endlessly high strange peaks. All there was just a vast, empty fog.

"What the hell is this place!" Aoguang muttered under his breath, gathering his Dragon Qi around him and darting through the fog like lightning.

After an indeterminate amount of time, as Aoguang flew past the last of the gravel, the view suddenly cleared.

"Is this, the Innate Jianmu?" As soon as he passed through the fog, Aoguang saw an immense tree of unrivaled size.

The tree soared high up into the clouds, with no visible end in sight. Not only that, but it extended tens of miles even horizontally!

Considering Aoguang’s current peak Mid-Stage Sub-Saint Cultivation, with Dragon Qi operating in his eyes, even in the Chaos beyond Outer Heaven, he could investigate! Yet now, he couldn’t determine the height of this massive tree. Indeed, this was both odd and curious!

The tree appeared quite ordinary, with a trunk resembling that of a poplar, tall and straight, while the leaves bore some semblance to a parasol tree, dense and lush, intricately crossing over each other. Although the tree bore no fruit, its dense leaves were luxuriant and splendid, covering the sky and obscuring the sun.

"Foreigner, I never expected you could actually follow me here; I really underestimated you!" A cold voice came from a branch above the giant tree.

Aoguang looked up sharply, fixing his gaze on Han Meng perched on the branch, and said, "Is this the Innate Jianmu?"

Han Meng, caressing the exceptionally smooth trunk of the giant tree, replied, "I don’t know what you’re talking about with Innate Jianmu; this is our Spirit Clan’s Mother Tree, the Spirit Ancestor!"

Aoguang was stunned for a moment, then suddenly gripped the Blood Transformation Divine Saber in his hands, slicing down in one swift motion.

"Shh!"

A red beam of Sword Radiance struck the Jianmu, leaving only a shallow white imprint.

"Damn it, what are you doing?" Han Meng cried out in alarm, resembling an outraged little lioness.

Aoguang ignored her, simply muttering to himself in disappointment, "It seems it’s not the Innate Jianmu, after all."

"Aoguang, this is the Innate Jianmu!" Suddenly, Li Qingming’s voice echoed in Aoguang’s ear, followed by a transcendent and out-of-this-world figure slowly appearing in front of Aoguang.
