The First Demon of the Chan Sect -
Chapter 183 - 183 129 Netherworld
183: Chapter 129 Netherworld 183: Chapter 129 Netherworld Li Qingming’s sudden kneeling caused a storm of shock to rise in the heart of Primordial Venerable.
Although he faintly guessed that Li Qingming’s mastery of Yuqing Immortal Skill came from East Kunlun, he never imagined that Li Qingming was actually his own direct disciple.
Primordial Venerable did not speak but only looked at Li Qingming expressionlessly.
“Three years ago, when the disciple was…” It’s unknown how much time Li Qingming took, he told Primordial Venerable about things he should and shouldn’t mention, as if he was listing family treasures.
Although it’s hard to accept, Primordial Venerable still engaged in the narrative told by Li Qingming.
Primordial Venerable seemed to return to that bizarre Primordial Era.
Demon Ancestor Luo Hou, Innate Three Clans, Demon Court, Ancestor Witches…
Everything seemed as though it was only yesterday.
His gaze blurry, Primordial Venerable’s face showed excitement, anger, agitation, and more…
a plethora of expressions, savoring the multitude of human emotions and worldly splendors.
When he heard about Li Qingming being severely injured by Zhunti and returning to reality, he was burning with rage, wishing he could rush to Mount Sumeru and battle Zhunti right away to quell the resentment in his heart.
“Ah!
Qingmingzi, you have suffered!” Hearing it all, Yuanshi Tianzun had long since pushed aside the matters of Li Qingming’s aggression towards Guang Chengzi and Master Huang Long.
“Anyone who sees their juniors not living up to expectations would teach them a lesson.
He is just hating that he could not make steel from iron.” Primordial Venerable comforted himself in this way.
Li Qingming disclosed the events of these years one by one.
Naturally, his heart was incomparably delighted; it had been many years since he felt as relaxed as he did today.
“Hahaha, Master jests!
Since the Divine Enthronement Battle, Uncle Laozi has shut himself away, Uncle Tongtian’s Jie Sect has crumbled away, and my Chan Sect has even more disciple decline.” Li Qingming spoke in a deep voice, filled with helplessness: “Yet the Western Buddhism has flourished greatly.
And after the fantastical achievements of the Western Expedition Sky Road, its followers spread throughout the universe.
Yet we of the Sanqing Sect struggle to progress, Zhunti!
Hmph, Zhunti…”
Primordial Venerable was even more indignant and ashamed: “Ah, the plight of the Sanqing Sect, it is all my fault!”
Li Qingming looked with sorrow at Primordial who had suddenly aged, his heart full of grief: “Master, with me present!
I will ensure that the Primordial World does not repeat past mistakes!
My Chan Sect will ultimately stand tall above All Heavens and Myriads of Worlds, shining light across the Nine Provinces!”
…
When Li Qingming left the Yuqing Hall, it was already the morning of the next day.
And Ling Hua, who had already been forgotten, was dragged away by Master Huang Long who learned that Li Qingming was his own senior brother, under the pretext of giving him a proper education.
With a Daluo Golden Immortal instructing a youth who had just Refining Void and Merging Dao, one can imagine that Ling Hua’s future life would be painful yet filled with joy.
In the Yuqing Hall, the Primordial Venerable used Time Slowdown, hence Li Qingming had a long conversation with Primordial.
In the end, not only did Primordial communicate with the Heaven and Earth Laws to elevate Li Qingming’s cultivation to the peak of Quasi-Saint, but he also gave him the fragments of the Creation Jade Disc.
After all, Li Qingming was originally a Sub-Saint Expert, and his realm was still there, just lacking in mana.
If he merely relied on elixirs to enhance his cultivation, the mana acquired would inevitably be unstable.
However, by Primordial communicating with the laws and directly infusing the spiritual energy of Heaven and Earth, and even Chaotic Spirit Qi, into Li Qingming, there was no worry about the mana being unstable.
Originally, Li Qingming was worried that with his Taiyi Peak cultivation, when he went to the Earthly Palace to request people, the Ten Hall Yama might not give him face.
But now that he has recovered to the peak of Quasi-Saint, having surpassed several major realms, is there still need to worry about not being able to save someone?
Li Qingming did not bother returning to the Human World and directly descended to the Nine Netherworld.
The Primordial Land had not yet evolved the Six Paths of Reincarnation, so there was no so-called Netherworld and Earthly Palace.
But this is the present world; the Primordial World was already quite long ago.
Although Li Qingming had never been to the Earthly Palace, according to the information passed on by the Primordial Venerable, this Netherworld Earthly Palace was beneath the Netherworld Sea.
Ripping the space apart with his bare hands, Li Qingming stepped in leisurely.
Moments later, the surroundings dramatically changed.
The sky ahead was boundless yet a glaring blood-red, exceptionally shocking to behold.
Below the sky was a colossal mountain, steep and rugged with numerous strange peaks, all piercing into the clouds.
Li Qingming learned from Primordial that this mountain was called “Du Shuo Mountain,” stretching thousands of miles, as the foundation of the Earthly Palace.
Walking further, a stark cliff suddenly appeared before him.
On the cliff, there was an enormous archway.
Black smoke wafted from the arch, dispersed continuously by the howling mountain winds, appearing unfathomably deep and eerily chilling.
And next to the arch, two immense Boundary Gate deity statues stood tall: the god on the left had a face like blue indigo, eyes like rainbows but had the body of a man with a horse’s head, wielding a ghost-faced spear.
Beneath him was a giant black-striped fierce tiger with sharp teeth, ferociously intimidating.
The god on the right had a face like green pine, mouth like a bloody basin but had the body of a man with a bull’s head, holding a three-pronged steel fork in hand.
Perched on his shoulder was a snow-white rooster, with a sharp beak, looking spirited and extraordinary.
Could this be the infamous “Ghost Gate” that chills the hearts of the living upon hearing its name?
Li Qingming curiously touched the stone statues on both sides, only to feel an icy coldness biting to the bone, as if it could freeze one’s soul.
Looking at the massive stone door that tightly sealed the arch: the colossal door stood tens of meters tall, entirely Xuanqing in color, its material unknown, emitting a dense yin energy.
On the door veiled in faint black Qi, ghostly and fierce souls were sculpted in relief.
The evil Qi was brutal and harsh, penetrating one’s heart and lungs.
Looking above the archway, a large plaque floated with seven golden runes spelling “Netherworld Earthly Palace Ghost Gate”!
Li Qingming chuckled lightly and transformed into a streak of light entering the tightly closed door.
Behind the Ghost Gate was an endless road, known as the “Netherworld Road.” The Netherworld Road was bustling, with groups of ghost messengers escorting various ghosts along, seen in pairs of two, one in black, one in white.
Li Qingming did not wish these ghost messengers to see him, so he concealed his form and continued to the end of the Netherworld Road.
From a distance, a large river could be seen at the end of the road, the width unknown, its blood-red waters flowing through, clearly the water from the Netherworld Blood Sea.
Over the river stood a bridge, at the head of the bridge was a stele engraved with three Tao Runes: “Naihe Bridge.” At the other end of the bridge was a city; atop the city was an archway, on which were inscribed three powerful Tao Runes: “World of Darkness.”
Li Qingming revealed his form, did not enter the city, and simply spoke softly, “Ten Hall Yama, Judge Cui Jue, come to the Boundary Gate to see me immediately!”
Though Li Qingming’s voice was not loud, to Cui Jue and the Ten Hall Yama, it was like a thunderbolt!
In the counties of Cui Mansion, Qing Guang City, Chu Jiang City…
In the eleven cities, the ears of the Ten Hall Yama and Judge Cui suddenly received this thunderous voice, struck with sudden terror.
Who was this, to have such boldness, such strength, such power!
