Li Qingming rolled his eyes speechlessly and materialized his own figure within the Primordial Spirit Sea, saying, “Zi Shu, can you not be so sleazy?”

Zi Shu chuckled and blinked his mung bean-sized eyes, replying, “Master, you know me well!

I was born this way.

If you asked me to be tall and mighty like Yin Tiger, rugged and strong, it would only make me feel sick!”

Li Qingming sent Zi Shu flying with a swift kick and shouted curiously, “You’re never serious!

Speak up, what trouble have you brought me this time?”

Zi Shu touched his protruding butt while smiling obsequiously, “Hehe, Master!

Do you remember the egg laid by Feng Tian’s Daoist partner Huang Tian at the intersection of Yin and Yang, where the Five Elements converge?”

Li Qingming’s eyes lit up, “Is it about to emerge?”

Zi Shu nodded, “After enduring thousands of years of wind and rain, lightning and thunder, these two little ones are finally about to emerge!”

“Good, take good care of them!

I’ll be there shortly!” Li Qingming’s face showed excitement.

Heavenly Spirit Pond.

Li Qingming sipped from his wine cup and said to Di Jun, “Fellow Daoist Di Jun!

Since the matter here is settled, I shall take my leave first!”

“Fellow Daoist is in such a rush, could there be some pressing matter?” Di Jun looked at Li Qingming curiously.

Li Qingming stood up and climbed onto Xiong Da, who was drinking merrily, and said, “Nothing major, just some trifles!

Please stay, my fellow Daoists.

If fate allows, we shall discuss the Heavenly Dao together next time!

Hahahaha…”

Di Jun watched Li Qingming’s departing figure and sighed softly, “Fellow Daoist Qingming is truly divine!”

In the Southern Heavenly Land, about ten thousand miles from the Undying Volcano, is a place where Yin and Yang and the Five Elements converge.

Zi Shu, short in stature and wearing a yellowish-brown Daoist robe with a sneaky look, watched the two valleys to his left and right with slight excitement.

The two valleys were truly miraculous: One had a convergence of black and white qi representing Yin and Yang, breaking through the Great Formation and shooting straight into the sky; the other valley held a convergence of the qi of the Five Elements, with brilliant five-colored light reflecting the heavens into a kaleidoscope of colors.

“Crack!”

A huge spatial rift suddenly appeared beside Zi Shu, and sensing that extremely familiar aura, Zi Shu smiled slightly, stepping back two paces.

Li Qingming, dressed in a dark cyan robe, stepped out of the rift riding on Xiong Da.

When Xiong Da saw Zi Shu, he even growled mischievously, spraying saliva all over Zi Shu’s face.

Indifferently wiping away the stinky saliva from his face, Zi Shu greeted Li Qingming with a bow, “Zi Shu pays respects to the Master!”

“You are excused!” Li Qingming raised his hand slightly and stared deeply at the two valleys, “What’s the situation?”

“In about a quarter of an hour, the two little ones will break out of their shells!” After scooping up a handful of water to wash his face, Zi Shu continued, “And it might just trigger their Transformation Tribulation at the same time!”

“Boom”

At this moment, the eggshell in the Five Elements Valley cracked first, and a Phoenix with dazzling tail feathers, sharp talons and beak stepped out.

The newborn Peacock didn’t mind the sticky and wet feathers all over its body but began to peck at the colorful eggshell.

As the eggshell diminished bit by bit, the Peacock’s feathers began to gleam with beauty from the tail up.

When the entire eggshell was devoured by the Peacock, the dazzling appearance nearly dazzled one’s eyes.

“So beautiful!” Zi Shu muttered to himself, drooling.

“Crack!”

Just then, the eggshell in the Yin Yang Valley also cracked open.

The Roc, whose body shone with a metallic luster, forcefully broke through the shell.

It had not yet managed to settle down to nurture itself in the protective valley and began to peck at the eggshell in earnest.

Its movements, almost identical to the Peacock’s, continued for about half a quarter of an hour before the entire eggshell disappeared.

The Roc’s wings seemed much fuller, the metallic sheen gleaming under the sunlight.

“Rumble!”

As soon as the Roc finished devouring the eggshell, the azure sky was covered by pitch-black clouds as if ink had been spilled across it, encompassing tens of thousands of miles.

Within the clouds flickered endless flashes of lightning.

It was as if an Ancient Demon Dragon was rampaging wildly among the threatening clouds.

“Boom Crack!”

Two bolts of Heavenly Thunder struck almost simultaneously, the terrifying light of the thunder illuminating both valleys, every detail vividly revealed.

But here, the two birds were seen frantically flapping their wings, intending to endure the bolt of Heavenly Thunder with their physical bodies alone.

“Screech!”

The two bolts of thunder instantly hit the Peacock and the Roc respectively.

The birds let out a pained cry, their bodies shook but did not retreat an inch.

In this clash with the first thunder, both the Peacock and the Roc had the upper hand.

Immediately after, the second, the third…

both birds barely managed to withstand them with their physical bodies unharmed and even used the trials of the Heavenly Tribulation as a tempering, to purify their bodies, remove impurities, and further strengthen their physical forms.

After all, having passed the Transformation Heavenly Tribulation, their Mana would definitely be drained.

If an enemy were to come at this moment of weakness, it would be disastrous.

Hence, their logic was simple: not to deplete too much Mana but to endure the Tribulation in the most straightforward and foolhardy manner.

These two didn’t realize that there was an insidious and shameless creature that had been scheming against the two brothers for thousands of years.

Perhaps angered by the two birds’ defiant attitude, the clouds in the sky, amidst violent friction, finally gave birth to the seventy-ninth bolt of Heavenly Thunder!

Two deep blue bolts of lightning came into being, each many times thicker than the previous thunderbolts, tearing through the sky and striking the birds directly.

The two birds could be considered twins; though their forms differed, their minds were connected.

Struck by the sudden thunder, they felt as if their claws were no longer obeying them; their bodies began to feel increasingly heavy.

The power of this round of Heavenly Tribulation was clearly much stronger than before.

This strike they could still withstand with their physical bodies, but the subsequent ones would only get stronger.

If they did not use some sort of tactic, they would surely fail to transform and fall to the Heavenly Tribulation.

“Master!

Please help these two little ones!” Zi Shu watched with anxiety as the beings he had protected for thousands of years were about to perish in the Tribulation, his emotions indescribable in words.

“There’s no need yet!

These two guys are not so simple!” Li Qingming said with a faint smile, a divine light flickering in his eyes.

“Boom!”

The long-brewing eightieth Heavenly Thunder slowly turned into two majestic Thunder Phoenixes, their bodies intertwined with intense arcs of electricity, their formidable might causing the valley to collapse.

Countless fragments of rock tumbled down from the mountaintop, the formerly thousand-zhang-high mountain peak was reduced by half in an instant.

“Screech!”

With two resounding cries that shook the soul, the two deep blue phoenixes rapidly dove towards the birds.

Kong Xuan abruptly opened his eyes, hesitating no longer.

Leaping up from the ground, before the phoenixes could reach him, he released a burst of five-colored brilliance.

In mid-air, a stunningly gorgeous Five-Colored Divine Light swept down towards the phoenixes.

Without a loud bang or dazzling glow, the phoenixes simply flew into the Divine Light and vanished into thin air.

Meanwhile, the Roc let out a screech, its two golden wings flapping wildly.

Black and white streams of intense Yin Yang Power poured out from between its wings, slowly converging in the void to form a Tai Chi Diagram.

The extreme Yang within the black Yin Fish and the extreme Yin within the white Yang Fish suddenly exploded with an overwhelming swallowing force.

A strange black hole appeared on the Tai Chi Diagram, the Thunder Phoenix plunged into the hole, and was torn to shreds by the terrifying Space Power!

Zi Shu, utterly lacking in image, gnawed on a chicken leg he procured from who knows where and mumbled with oil-smudged lips, “Master, I didn’t expect these two to still have some ace Divine Skills up their sleeves!

But what comes next is even more perilous!”

Li Qingming nodded slightly and was about to speak when he suddenly sensed a powerful energy moving swiftly towards them from the west.

Although no figure was in sight, Li Qingming was all too familiar with the origin of this energy!

And he saw a bald fat man with his chest bare and a cloth bag tied around his waist, a smile covering his face and singing as he came:

“I study the emptiness beyond the Tao, fearing that you might think my teachings are but myths.

East Pole is not my dwelling place, for if I were to return, it would be to the heavens of bliss.”
