The First Demon of the Chan Sect
Chapter 124 - 124 70 Laozi Becomes a Saint Part 2

124: Chapter 70 Laozi Becomes a Saint (Part 2) 124: Chapter 70 Laozi Becomes a Saint (Part 2) Laozi (that is, the elder) observed for a good while, then turned his head to Li Qingming and said, “Qingmingzi, I must say, not only can this set of combat skills greatly improve the Human Clan’s physique, when practiced to the utmost it can even shatter the Void, reaching Heavenly Immortal!

Moreover, the entire set moves quite smoothly, filled with the essence of Dao.

Even at the stage of Quasi-Saint, one can take it out and play with it often!”

Li Qingming proudly smiled and said, “Master, you do not fully understand!

I spent a full hundred years immersed in the Witch Tribe, all day long I had nothing else to do but to fight with those brainless louts.

This set of combat skills was refined over a hundred years by thirteen people, creating a top-notch combat skill!

How could there be anything inappropriate?

Hehe…”

Laozi changed the topic abruptly and asked, “Yet, why do you not teach the methods of cultivation to the Human Clan?”

Li Qingming’s gaze flickered and he looked at The Three Pure Ones, saying, “What do you think of the Human Clan?”

Laozi repeatedly stroked his long beard and said, “As for the Human Clan, being a postnatal species created by my sister apprentice Nuwa, they possess strong malleability, and their lifespan can reach more than three hundred years.

With tenacious vitality and powerful ability to multiply, they have managed to survive for more than two thousand years along the beast-riddled East Sea Coast.

Such an Innate Taoist Body is truly extraordinary!”

“If we carefully teach them, can they attain longevity?” Li Qingming quickly followed up with a question.

Laozi glanced at Li Qingming and said, “Although not all of them can become immortals, we can select the finest individuals to bear the fruit of their Dao!”

Li Qingming clapped his hands and laughed heartily, “That’s it!

Lady Nuwa’s merit in creating the Human Clan is equivalent to three-fifths of the merit of Heaven Creation.

Although Nuwa became the first to create a race of beings, would the Heavenly Dao bestow so much merit if the Human Clan lacked the potential to become the protagonist of Primordial?”

Upon hearing these words, The Three Pure Ones were greatly shaken.

Even Laozi, who was always quiet and inactive, had a face full of shock!

After an unknown duration, The Three Pure Ones finally regained their composure.

Laozi, holding his beard, tried to calm his emotions and said, “Qingming, let’s not speak further on this!” He proceeded to shake his eyebrows and blink twice.

Li Qingming nodded meaningfully, revealing a profound smile.

In fact, with some thought, The Three Pure Ones would come to understand as well.

The Demon Race is led by Di Jun and other Emperors, venerating Lady Nuwa; the Witch Tribe lacks Primordial Spirits, only cultivating the physical divine, and venerating neither Heaven nor Earth, but their Father God Pangu who created Heaven and Earth.

If these two clans came to control the Primordial Land, how could they, upon becoming Saints, educate the world in the future?

The Witch and Demon Clans?

Ridiculous!

Only if both, like the Innate Three Clans, withdrew from the grand stage of Primordial, ascending to the position of the Human Clan, could the Saints have a role to play.

Li Qingming deliberately refrained from preaching, naturally leaving the opportunity for his three masters.

He would not do something that oversteps his bounds.

After a deep discussion in the cave, the four finally remembered they needed to return to their tribe and exchanged glances before descending the mountain.

At the foot of the mountain, a long awaiting Ran Ji greeted them as they came down and hurriedly said, “Elder, you’ve finally descended the mountain!

Let’s hurry back to our tribe, the hunting team has also returned!”

Laozi nodded, and the silhouettes of the two elders and three youngsters cast long shadows under the afterglow of the setting sun.

Time always dilutes everything.

Laozi and the four settled among the Human Clan and stayed for a hundred years.

Laozi’s appearance remained old, but Li Qingming and the other two gradually grew up.

The former leader Ran Ji had already stepped down, with his dwindling strength, he eventually became a hunched elder like Laozi.

A young and strong lad had taken up the mantle of the new leader.

Over the span of a hundred years, the Human Clan underwent three generations of reproduction, and as the Human Clan continued to multiply, their bodies became far less robust than they were before.

A century ago, a single person could easily slay a ferocious beast, but now it takes the combined efforts of three or four to accomplish the hunt!

For this reason, the number of people left behind in the Human Clan has not surged but has grown very slowly.

Laozi has earned the title of Wise Man among the tribe, while Li Qingming and others have indeed become the vanguard of the Hunting Team.

Finally, after another hundred years, Ran Ji, who was never a practitioner of Cultivation, reached the end of his life.

Laozi, who had shared two hundred years of friendship with him and had witnessed the proliferation, growth, and advancement of the Human Clan, felt a sudden tremor throughout his body as he looked upon the dying Ran Ji.

The Hongmeng Purple Qi rooted in his Primordial Spirit began to churn rapidly, and the Tao of Non-action, previously not fully comprehended, gradually became clear.

Xuan Dou stood beside the pivotal node of his father, his face displaying profound melancholy.

Though he wished to save him, he hesitated to act.

At this moment, a Cloud Bed rose abruptly beneath Laozi, lifting him up.

Laozi’s appearance had changed dramatically.

His bent back, hunched posture, and deeply-lined face vanished without a trace.

Now, Laozi appeared with white hair as if still a youth, tall and thin in stature, with a straight green jade hairpin inserted in his hair bun and leaning on a Flat Stick, still bearing the visage of an old man!

Yet, this old man exuded an ethereal and transcendent aura.

His wide Daoist robe was embroidered with the carving of the Tai Chi, and his long beard moved without wind beneath his chin.

The Cloud Bed carried Laozi through the shattered roof, shooting straight towards the Nine Heavens.

Laozi then unfurled the Innate Treasure, the Tai Chi Diagram, and proclaimed loudly: “I am the foremost disciple of Taoist Hong Jun, Taiching Laozi!

Now that the Human Clan is reborn, it is my duty to oversee their enlightenment and instruction.

Hence, I hereby establish the Human Sect, to enlighten the myriad peoples of the Primordial Land with the Innate Treasure Tai Chi Diagram and the Innate Merit Treasure Xuanhuang Linglong Treasure Tower to anchor the Qi Fortune!

Human Sect, be established!”

The Spiritual Energy in the sky suddenly stirred violently, with purple clouds flashing across the sky and multicolored lights bursting forth.

The Merit of establishing the doctrine fell like a waterfall, and the part of Pangu’s Heaven Creation Merit residing within Laozi responded, surging forth from the depths of his Primordial Spirit.

The two merged, and Laozi became a Saint on the spot!

Laozi’s radiance surged around him, with a colossal Merit Golden Wheel coalescing behind him.

Laozi continued to speak: “Now that I have comprehended the Great Dao, henceforth, I shall be known as Taiching Supreme Lord!

I proclaim myself Daode Heavenly Venerate!”

Upon his declaration, auspicious clouds hung in the sky, the colorful mist danced about, and mythical birds sang praises.

A Fire Phoenix with the Saint Tao Fruit at the tip of its claws flew directly into his Primordial Spirit Sea of Consciousness!

Simultaneously, the entire Primordial Continent lay prostrate under this immense sacred pressure, a spectacle far surpassing that of Nuwa’s sanctification, with thousands of purple qi coming from the east, lingering over the East Sea Coast of the Human Clan for ages.

The grand Saintly Pressure spread across the Primordial Land, and all beings of the Primordial felt as if they had returned to the day Nuwa became a Saint, all prostrating themselves and saying, “Congratulations to Taiching Daoist on achieving sanctity!

May Taiching Saint have boundless longevity!”.

In the Nuwa Palace beyond the Thirty-Three Heavens, Nuwa suddenly opened her eyes, her face turning a shade of iron blue.

Nuwa muttered to herself: “This Human Clan was created by me!

The Qi Fortune of the Human Clan should have been seventy percent mine, with Qingming and Houtu each allocated fifteen percent.

You, Laozi, have taken two-tenths of my Qi Fortune with a single declaration, truly not acting with the decorum befitting a son!

Hmph, I want to see how you will repay the enormous cause and effect incurred!”

In fact, Nuwa had always intended to raise her Cultivation before Laozi and others became Saints, but she could never have imagined that Laozi would achieve sanctity so swiftly, giving her only a few thousand years to prepare, and moreover by leveraging the sanctification of the Human Clan.

She had foreseen that after The Three Pure Ones achieved sainthood, they would surely suppress the Witch and Demon Clans, for who among these clans shows respect to the other Saints?

Shaking her head, Nuwa no longer pondered these issues, closing her eyes once again to perceive the Heavenly Dao!

Laozi, with a tranquil expression, glanced at the prostrating masses of the Human Clan and waved his hand, scattering thousands of auspicious colors.

The people suddenly felt their bodies brimming with strength, with even the chronic ailments miraculously disappearing.

Ran Ji’s withered visage also slowly regained youth and vitality!

The Tai Chi Diagram spanned the sky like a rainbow, with vast quantities of purple qi dyeing the entire horizon a reddish-purple hue.

Laozi had manifested such a grand presence, and the Human Clan’s Eight Ancestors had already arrived at the Human Clan’s tribal lands to pay respects.

Li Qingming, Primordial, and Tongtian no longer concealed their forms, reverting to their original selves to congratulate Laozi, who nodded slightly without uttering a word.

There sat Laozi upon the rainbow bridge, sitting upright and beginning to preach, his voice grand and resounding throughout the Primordial Land!

Li Qingming and the others ascended to the sky and sat cross-legged beside Laozi.

Li Qingming could feel Laozi becoming more and more serene.

His aura was inscrutable and elusive, seemingly present yet unfelt, at times like a mighty wind, other times like towering mountains, both heavy and light, sometimes steady and sometimes moving like the ever-rotating Tai Chi, gentle as the supreme water, flowing slowly!

“The Dao that can be trodden is not the enduring and unchanging Dao.

The name that can be named is not the enduring and unchanging name.

Non-existence is the name of the beginning of Heaven and Earth; existence is the name of the mother of all things.

Therefore always without desire, in order to observe its subtlety; always with desire, to observe its manifestations.

These two are the same in source and different in name, yet both are considered mysterious.

Mystery upon mystery, the gateway of the manifold marvels…”
