Chapter 92: Chapter 92: New Skill_1

Yang Ruxin’s heart lifted with joy. She had always adhered to the belief that one cannot have too many skills, especially in such a strange ancient era. Whether it was a gift from the heavens or acquired through study, the more skills she had, the better. Only by becoming stronger could she better protect herself and her home, and live a better life.

However, as soon as she tried to direct her thoughts toward those meridians, she felt as if her whole body was on the verge of collapse.

"Big sister, what’s wrong?" Sanni noticed sweat beading on Yang Ruxin’s forehead and asked anxiously.

"Sanni, in a moment I will have to massage out that twisted muscle for you. Without medicated wine, it might be somewhat painful, so you’ll need to bear with it," Yang Ruxin looked at Sanni, "Otherwise, it could be problematic if it’s left for too long."

"Do you know how?" Sanni expressed doubt.

"Won’t we know if we try?" Yang Ruxin wiped the sweat from her forehead, "Otherwise, I really can’t carry you."

"Alright, go ahead," Sanni nodded seriously.

Yang Ruxin focused her thoughts once again, with her hands working in tandem to knead.

In the beginning, Sanni didn’t feel much, but as time went on, her face suddenly turned pale. However, the little girl stubbornly endured without uttering a sound.

Using her intent for the first time, when the twisted muscle finally relaxed, she felt a wave of dizziness wash over her and she sat down on the ground with a thud.

"Big sister, what’s wrong?" Sanni quickly grabbed Yang Ruxin’s arm, preventing her from falling to the ground.

"Try moving your foot, does it still hurt?" Yang Ruxin shifted her body with effort, leaning against Shi Tou, sounding breathless and weak.

Upon hearing this, Sanni quickly stood up and found that the pain was indeed gone. She couldn’t help but take a few steps, then she returned, beaming with joy, "Big sister, you’re amazing, it really doesn’t hurt anymore!" Sanni’s face was filled with surprise.

"Then you should be careful these next few days. Since it’s just been reset, it could easily twist again, and if it does, you’ll have to suffer all over again," Yang Ruxin said, still in a breathless and weak manner.

"Big sister, what’s happening to you?" Sanni finally dropped her smile, "You’re not sick, are you?"

"I’m just tired from setting your muscle right, I’ll be fine after a rest," Yang Ruxin said weakly, shaking her head, then closing her eyes.

Sanni initially wanted to suggest, ’if you need to sleep, why not go back to sleep?’, but before she could speak, Yang Ruxin had already fallen asleep.

When Yang Ruxin woke up again, she was surprised to find herself lying in bed.

"Big sister, you’ve finally woken up," Sanni’s voice came full of surprise, accompanied by her wiping away tears.

"I..." Memories of what happened earlier flashed through Yang Ruxin’s mind, and she sat up hastily, "Did you carry me back?"

"How could I possibly carry you?" Sanni pursed her lips, "Luckily, we ran into the Gu Family’s youngest, Gu Yao, who was coming down from the mountain. He carried you back..."

"Gu Yao?" Yang Ruxin’s eyes narrowed slightly.

"Yes," Sanni nodded, "He happened to be coming down from the mountain. Otherwise, I really wouldn’t have known what to do."

"Alright, I’ll find time to thank him one of these days," Yang Ruxin nodded and then got up to see that the sun had already set; she had slept for almost four hours. Now, she felt much more refreshed, "By the way, where’s mother and the others?"

"Auntie burned her hand while cooking, and mother and second sister are helping with the chores," Sanni said, frowning.

Yang Ruxin didn’t say much; such situations were all too common at home. Changing things wasn’t going to happen overnight—it would take time.
