Chapter 946: Chapter 946: Immortal’s Legacy, Great Land Elixir Scripture?
"Everyone who passed the inspection and received a waist token, gather up!"
Carson Flores took out his communication stone, and quietly sent a message to Killian Jaramillo.
"The Three Devil Sect is recruiting disciples, indiscriminately accepting anyone. I think there’s something suspicious. I will infiltrate and see what’s going on. It might take a while. Wait for my message patiently."
The middle-aged man from the Three Devil Sect stood at the front of the line and said, "Once you step through this gate, you will be disciples of the Three Devil Sect. Since you all come from various cultivation methods, after joining the Three Devil Sect, you will undergo closed-door training. We will assign Sect elders to specifically teach you alchemy and cultivation. For the next ten years, you will all cultivate on the mountain, and cannot leave the Three Devil Sect."
"So, if you have family waiting, come to the front, use the Soulmirror Stone to record a message stating that you will be in sect’s training for ten years, and also leave an address. We will hand these Soulmirror Stones over to the merchant guild to deliver them all to your families."
Immediately, quite a number of people walked out of the crowd and lined up to use the Soulmirror Stone to explain the situation to their families or friends. Kye Stein was among them; Carson noticed that he was leaving a message for his mother.
Being unable to leave the sect for ten years was a normal rule for Cultivator Sects, so no one was suspicious.
After everyone was done, the middle-aged man raised his hand.
"I am your Shi-shu, Corbin Woolery. Follow me."
The group followed the middle-aged man, stepped into the entrance of the Three Devil Sect, entered the Mountain Protection Array, and proceeded up along the mountain path.
Halfway up the mountain were many continuous houses and enormous palaces, which looked very grand and majestic.
The middle-aged man led everyone to a row of houses and instructed, "Nascent Soul Stage and Golden Core Stage disciples, one person per room; Foundation Establishment Stage disciples share, six persons per room. Settle here for now. Later on, we will construct individual training cave mansions for everyone."
After the houses were allocated, the middle-aged man spoke again, "We are still continuing to recruit disciples downhill, so for now, there are no specific arrangements for you. You can move around freely, but you must not leave this place. Once all the disciples are recruited, we will organize everyone into teams and then proceed with rotational training and study."
After giving his instructions, the middle-aged man left, and the many newly joined disciples instantly relaxed.
Carson observed that there were five Golden Core Stage disciples, but only he himself was at the Nascent Soul Stage, which consequently made everyone look at him with a bit of awe.
Carson stood at the end of the courtyard, gazing at the densely packed houses and large palaces in the distance.
Suddenly, a red Blood Light shot up abruptly from a distant palace into the sky, then vanished in a flash.
Carson’s pupils suddenly contracted.
Though the Blood Light existed for an extremely brief moment, Carson felt a thick smell of blood from it. In that instant, the smell of blood seemed to cover the skies and the sun, making him feel as if he were immersed in thick, viscous blood.
Carson looked back at the others, only to find that they seemed to be unaware.
There was something wrong with that palace!
Carson did not rush over to investigate immediately. After all, there were Hollow Void Stage experts stationed here. He decided to wait for an opportunity to legitimately access the palace.
That wait lasted for three days.
Each day, quite a number of new disciples were guided up the mountain and settled in the same cluster of houses. Carson estimated that, all together, there must be at least a thousand new disciples!
Over the three days, Carson got to know Kye Stein better.
Through Kye Stein, Carson learned more about the Three Devil Sect.
Although the Three Devil Sect was not very large, it had been established here for a thousand years and possessed extremely powerful Alchemy skills, capable of producing high-grade elixirs, thereby earning a far-reaching reputation with countless seekers of pills and a significant fame.
"I heard the Three Devil Sect possesses the Great Land Pill Scripture, a legacy from ancient times, which is why they have such formidable alchemy techniques. I’m not sure if it’s true or not," Kye said.
Carson, curious, asked, "Great Land Pill Scripture? What is that?"
Kye looked surprised and said, "Brother Lin, with your high skills, did you join the Three Devil Sect just to learn the Great Land Pill Scripture?"
Carson shook his head. "I was just passing by. It’s my first time hearing about the Great Land Pill Scripture. It sounds impressive. Can you tell me more about it?"
Kye explained, "Apparently, the Great Land Pill Scripture is handed down from the Immortals, recording some extremely precious methods of pill making and extremely powerful alchemy techniques. It’s something that every alchemist dreams of."
Carson suddenly became interested. "Handed down from the Immortals?"
Kye laughed. "That’s the legend anyway. Whether it’s true, I’m not sure, and the Three Devil Sect has always denied having the Great Land Pill Scripture. But everyone says they must be hiding it, worrying about attracting covetous people..."
Carson laughed. "Good things naturally need to be kept hidden; wealth does not reveal itself."
Kye laughed. "Exactly. My talent in cultivation is limited. My greatest dream is to learn a powerful alchemy technique and become a majestic Alchemist. This way, even if my power is inferior, I can still earn others’ respect and provide a better life for my mother..."
