Carson Flores’s agonized screams once again surged high.

And so, after a day of relentless back-and-forth torment, the first segment of Carson’s Sword Bone was finally refined and assimilated.

"There you go, refining the Sword Bone is just this process. The finger bones are the simplest. Refine them slowly, and you’ll gradually have more insights. Refining them later on will gradually become second nature. Now try it out, do you feel anything different?"

Carson looked at his left index finger with complex emotions. On the surface, it seemed no different than before, but Carson knew that it had undergone earth-shattering changes.

All of the Dark Iron Raven Essence had turned into white powder, having lost its original luster, its essence painstakingly infused into that segment of the finger bone.

The Sword Bone, not unlike a magical treasure, hadn’t changed much in appearance, but fundamentally, it had become a sword.

Carson raised his hand, aiming at the wooden table beside him.

Spiritual Energy surged forth, and a thread of extreme sharpness in the form of Sword Qi erupted out, instantly piercing through the thick wooden tabletop, then through the wooden planks of the floor, and disappearing into the ground below.

Though it hadn’t made a grand sound, its destructive power was incredibly shocking, as if all sharpness concentrated into that tiny strand of Sword Qi.

Carson raised his hand, looking at his unscathed finger, his eyes lit up with excitement: "Incredible!"

Delaney chuckled, "This is just your first segment of Sword Bone. When Sword Bone spreads throughout your entire body, and the Sword Qi flows with a mere thought, within three feet everything will be reduced to dust. That is the true invincibility of three feet. People outside say about me, ’With a sword in hand, I am undefeated within three feet,’ but it’s just an illusion they see. The true invincibility lies within the Sword Bones in my body."

Carson felt the smoothness of that strike, indeed, a thought prompted the Sword Qi, which was far faster than wielding a sword in hand.

With the speed of casting Sword Qi like this, if he wielded a sword, his Sword Bone could probably unleash countless streams of Sword Qi in the time it took to make one strike.

A sudden enlightenment rose in Carson’s heart; recalling Delaney walking on air and shattering everything around her, she held the Red Flame Sword but did not strike. In reality, she might have used her Sword Bones countless times, probably just on a higher level of Sword Intent.
