Carson Flores was tidying up his cave abode when suddenly a crisp female voice came from the entrance.

He hurried out of the cave and saw a beautiful young woman standing at the doorway.

"Hello, who are you?"

The young woman sized Carson Flores up and said with a light laugh, "My name is Qingling, I am the Peak Master’s maiden. Following the Sect Master’s orders, I’ve come to bring you some things."

"Miss Qingling, hello, please come in and have a seat."

Qingling walked in with a smile, "I heard you came from the outside, right?"

Carson Flores nodded, "Yes, just arrived."

Curiosity filled Qingling’s voice as she asked, "What’s the outside world like? Can you tell me about it?"

Carson Flores naturally wouldn’t refuse. Peak Master Delaney Hunter was Cave Master Daxton Campbell’s disciple, and Qingling was Delaney’s maiden. Since he was new to the area, maintaining a good relationship was extremely important.

"Of course, I can."

Carson Flores agreed and then carefully added, "There’s no rule against outsiders discussing the outside world, is there?"

Qingling laughed softly, "You’re quite cautious, but there’s nothing taboo for a cultivator. Just don’t go talking about it downstairs."

After a pause, Qingling added, "The cave has been sealed, and we can’t get out. In nearly two hundred years, you’re the only outsider to arrive."

Carson Flores immediately breathed a sigh of relief, smiling, "Then I am truly honored."

"Let me give you the stuff first."

Qingling took out the things she brought with her.

A Cultivator’s Technique Jade Slip, a Newcomer’s Handbook, and his first month’s salary, ten Spirit Stones.

"Inside, there’s a compilation of various basic Minor Magic Arts and Sword Control Technique. I’ve heard you’ve already reached the Golden Core Realm. Once you master the Sword Control Technique, you’ll be able to perform Sword Flight. But, once you have money, you should buy a Spirit Boat. Sword Flight uses up Spiritual Energy. It looks cool, but it is quite tiring."

Carson Flores nodded in agreement while he took out a bottle of beverage from his Space Ring and handed it to Qingling, "Thanks for making the trip. Have some water."

Qingling accepted the beverage, her curiosity piqued as she opened it and took a sip. Her eyes immediately lit up, "This is quite tasty."

Carson Flores smiled, "I have other flavors of beverages here. If Miss Qingling likes them, I can give you some when you leave."

Carson Flores had come prepared to Nutwood Heavenly Cave. The three Space Rings he owned were filled with a variety of items, partly for his own use and partly intended as gifts and hospitality to build relationships. The beverage he had just taken out was one of the beverages and fruits favored by women.

Although this was the Cultivation Realm, many wonderful things from the human world were not available here.

Nutwood Heavenly Cave had been sealed for two hundred years, and Carson Flores estimated that the items he prepared should attract interest and fetch a good price if he decided to sell them.

Qingling’s eyes brightened immediately, "Then I won’t hold back."

Looking at Qingling’s gleaming eyes, Carson Flores chuckled to himself.

"Miss Qingling, there’s no need to be so formal. I’ll be living here and will inevitably need your help in the future."

Qingling laughed, "If there’s anything you need, just come to me."

Carson Flores then chatted leisurely with Qingling. She was clearly very curious about the mortal world, asking many questions, to which Carson Flores patiently replied.

While chatting, Carson Flores brought out a pile of snacks for Qingling to try.

Qingling was straightforward and a foodie, enjoying herself munching away like a squirrel.

Qingling ended up staying for half a day, until it was almost evening. She then suddenly came back to her senses and stood up in a panic, "Oh my, it’s late. I need to go back and cook for the Peak Master."

Carson Flores started to pull out various items, different flavors of beverages, a pile of snacks, and then noticing Qingling’s fair neck, he took out a white gold necklace with a diamond pendant that was sparkling and quite lovely.

"It’s our first meeting and I’m not sure what you like. This necklace is for you. I don’t know if you’ll like things from the outside world?"

Qingling’s eyes shone right away, "It’s so beautiful. It mustn’t be cheap, right?"

Carson Flores smiled, "Outside, it’s indeed not cheap, but here it’s not worth much. If you like it, consider it a trinket to wear for fun."

Qingling happily put on the necklace, which with the addition of the diamond necklace to her fair neck, looked even more beautiful.

After Carson Flores complimented her, he handed her a boxed gift, "This little gift is for the Peak Master. Please help me pass it on."

Qingling hesitated, then took it, "I can pass it on, but whether the Peak Master will accept it or not, I don’t know."

Carson Flores smiled, "It’s just a watch, convenient for checking the time. A trinket, really. If the Peak Master doesn’t like it, Miss Qingling, feel free to do with it what you wish."

Qingling agreed with a smile, "Okay, I’ll deliver it for you. I’ll be going now."

Carson Flores saw Qingling out of the cave, smiling, "Miss Qingling, come and visit whenever you have time."

Qingling replied cheerfully, "I’ll come often. Just don’t find me annoying."

Carson Flores smiled, "I would be delighted."

Watching Qingling’s departing figure, Carson Flores’s face revealed a slight smile.

It appeared that his previous preparations were indeed effective. When it came to women, offering food and gifts was always the right move...
