Chapter 573: Chapter 573: Where is your sword hidden?_1
The cruise ship docked, and everyone was chauffeured back to the Blue Sky Hotel.
Carson Flores didn’t rush to leave. It wasn’t until nightfall that he picked up his bag, stealthily checked out, and left the Blue Sky Hotel quietly.
However, Carson didn’t leave by car but chose to walk, heading along the seashore.
After walking for about a kilometer, a sedan calmly drove up from behind and stopped beside Carson. Gunner Tate got out of the car.
Carson turned around, "You’ve been keeping a very close eye on me, haven’t you?"
Gunner Tate looked around with a smile, "You left the hotel on foot instead of by car. Aren’t you just waiting for me? Since you’re waiting, wouldn’t you be disappointed if I didn’t show up?"
Carson dropped his travel bag and said with a smile, "Knowing that I was waiting for you, you still dared to come?"
Gunner Tate smiled, "You’re indeed quite strong to have defeated Aurelio Compton with a single punch, but killing you won’t take long."
Carson chuckled, "I’ve said before, I refused the Chairman’s help because I was preparing to kill you myself."
Gunner Tate stopped with the chit-chat and said sternly, "Let’s give it a try, then."
Gunner Tate moved quickly, launching a punch at Carson.
Carson didn’t dodge. He confronted it head-on.
"Bang!"
Gang Qi exploded, countless fragments sharp as blades flew in all directions, a shockwave emanated from the center of the two men, spreading outward, and a large crater formed where they stood.
Carson was blasted back, crashing against a large tree with a loud thud, but his footing remained undisturbed, and he stood firm.
Gunner Tate stepped back twice with a cold smile, "You’ve got some skills, but you’re still not good enough to kill me with that."
Carson’s face turned a shade paler, "How can you know it won’t work without trying?"
Gunner Tate once again sprang into action, lunging at Carson like a fierce tiger. As he moved, winds howled around him, and he seemed to transform into a wildly ferocious wind dragon with an intimidating momentum.
"Bang!"
Carson was sent flying once more, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth.
Gunner Tate was indeed very strong!
But Carson didn’t seem to be in a hurry. He stood up, wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, "You’re certainly formidable, but with just this level of skill, if I want to leave, you can’t stop me."
Gunner Tate sneered, his figure like a dragon as he pounced again.
"Leave? Let’s see you try."
Gunner Tate, like a raging dragon, sent Carson flying with a punch, then advanced two steps, shot up, and stomped toward Carson.
Seeing he couldn’t dodge in time, Carson’s right hand swung about frantically, as if trying to steady himself.
A cruel and triumphant expression crossed Gunner Tate’s face.
Die!
No matter how talented you are, today you’ll die at my hands!
I’ll make Westin Flores and Lucy Frost regret this for the rest of their lives!
Just as Gunner Tate’s foot was about to come crashing down, Carson suddenly looked up and bared his teeth in a grin at Gunner Tate.
With blood at the corner of his mouth and under the moonlight, this smile was incredibly eerie, like a hunter seeing prey fall into a trap.
Simultaneously, in Carson’s previously empty right hand, a simple and ancient sword suddenly appeared.
The sword, carrying a dim aqua arc of light, slid toward Gunner Tate’s descending leg.
Gunner Tate’s pupils shrank instantly, terror apparent in his eyes. He twisted his body forcibly, somehow managing to redirect his leg at the last moment.
However, the attack came suddenly, and Gunner Tate was fully committed to his strike. Furthermore, being mid-air without any leverage, even after redirecting his leg, he still couldn’t avoid Carson’s long-prepared strike.
The sword sliced effortlessly through Gunner Tate’s leg, severing it almost completely.
If Gunner Tate hadn’t reacted quickly and twisted his leg away, he might have lost the entire limb. Even so, the sword strike had severely wounded him.
Determined, Gunner Tate hit the ground and, without a glance at Carson, ignored the grievous injury to his leg, disregarded the gushing blood, and bolted toward the nearby forest.
If he could make it through this broad forest, there was a residential area right above. As long as he reached a populated place, he could survive!
Carson quickly gave chase.
Gunner Tate was ruthless. Despite having half of his leg chopped off and bleeding profusely, he ran faster than the wind, as if uninjured.
Gunner Tate had just burst into the forest when suddenly a shadowy figure flashed out from the woods and darted toward him, finger like a sword, thrusting forward.
This thrust seemed to collapse the space around it in an instant.
The entire world seemed to be filled with this one thrust.
Shirley Miller!
The thought barely had time to form in Gunner Tate’s mind before the sword finger was upon him.
Gunner Tate collided with it in desperation.
First, his hand flesh exploded, then his arm, and then the sword finger, carrying its momentum, shattered his Gang Qi defense and penetrated his chest.
Gunner Tate was hurled from the woods and landed with a thud in front of Carson.
Blood gushed from Gunner Tate’s mouth, his gaze filled with resentment and unwillingness as he stared fixedly at Carson, "Where did you hide... your sword?"
Carson raised his right hand, revealing an antique ring and waggled it in front of Gunner Tate’s eyes.
"Gunner Tate, I did feel a bit of sympathy for you, but since you insist on killing me, I can only ask you to die..."
