Chapter 509: Chapter 509: The Feigned Death of the Great Monk_1

Carson Flores immediately understood.

The thick Spiritual Energy was a necessary condition for treating Samantha Tate, but such energy could only be found inside the sacred realm. The problem was that there were strict rules -- ordinary people from the mortal world were not permitted to enter the sacred realm!

The lady in the cyan garments asked, "Can’t she be cured without entering the sacred realm?"

Elder Qin replied, "Without the thick Spiritual Energy to transform her body, it’s impossible to cure her. I can use elixirs containing Spiritual Energy to prolong her life, but even so, she would only be able to lie in bed every day, unable to move around like a regular person. And the supply of elixirs is limited, I can only provide a few months’ worth, no more."

The lady in cyan frowned, "Elder Qin, Carson once saved my daughter’s life..."

Elder Qin replied with a bitter smile, "It’s not that I don’t want to help, but given your circumstance, I’ll let her take a Primordial Spirit Pill. The power of the medicine might allow her to live like a normal person for three years, but beyond that, there’s really nothing more I can do."

Seeing the pained expression on Elder Qin’s face, Carson could roughly guess that the Primordial Spirit Pill was incredibly precious, and the lady in cyan obviously held some status in Heavenly Mountain, so Elder Qin had to show her respect.

Clearly, the lady in cyan was sincere in offering help to repay Carson for his past kindness, but the situation was evidently somewhat troublesome.

Saving someone was not difficult; the difficulty was in entering the sacred realm.

Carson suddenly asked, "Madam..."

The lady in cyan replied with a warm smile, "My surname is Chen, first name Isabella, you can just call me Sister Roth."

Isabella Roth spoke warmly, with a sense of closeness, clearly having a favorable impression of Carson, her daughter’s savior.

Carson asked, "Sister Roth, if I understand Elder Qin correctly, entering the sacred realm can completely cure her. I would like to ask, how can an ordinary person from the mortal world enter the sacred realm?"

Isabella Roth explained, "Generally speaking, it’s forbidden, as allowing too many people to travel between the two worlds would pose numerous dangers. However, for some special reasons, the sacred realm does issue certain permits -- that is, passes that allow entry. With a pass, one can enter the sacred realm."

Isabella Roth said regrettably, "These passes are extremely special and very rare. In the early years, some were issued, but nowadays, passes are basically not given out anymore, essentially closing off the pathway. Even though I have some status in the sacred realm, I, too, have no way to acquire a pass."

Carson confirmed, "So, with a pass, one can definitely enter the sacred realm?"

"Yes!"

Isabella Roth answered affirmatively, "With a pass, one can definitely enter the sacred realm."

Carson reached into his backpack and took out the Heavenly Mountain pass he had prepared earlier, holding it in his hand, "Sister Roth, is this the pass to Heavenly Mountain?"

All eyes were drawn to the Jade Pendant in Carson’s hand, and faces showed surprise.

Elder Qin reached out to take the Jade Pendant, and with an unknowable method, the pendant suddenly emitted a faint light, with rays circulating within as if it had come to life.

Carson’s eyes widened too. He had had this Jade Pendant for some days and had studied it many times; it looked like an ordinary pendant, but now it seemed to be magical, only he did not know how to activate it.

Elder Qin looked up in astonishment, "This is indeed our Heavenly Mountain pass. How did you come by this?"

Carson answered honestly, "I obtained it in the sacred realm of Liangchang Mountain, in an ancient temple left by a monk named Wilson Weiss."

While Carson didn’t recount how he got the pass, he hinted at its possible origins to avoid any misinterpretation.

Elder Qin’s eyes widened, "Wilson Weiss actually went to Liangchang Mountain?"

Carson blinked. Did that mean Elder Qin knew Wilson Weiss?

Carson replied, "There’s a stele there, I even took a photo..."

Carson took out the photo of the stele he had taken earlier. Elder Qin took it and looked, then handed it to Isabella Roth, "Wilson Weiss had been to Heavenly Mountain before. He had a pleasant talk with the Cave Master and stayed for some days. Later, he caused some trouble before he left, disappearing without a trace. So he went to Liangchang Mountain, but this stele might be fake."

Carson was stunned, "Fake?"

Elder Qin chuckled, "Given Wilson Weiss’s strength, even the Cave Master admitted his inferiority to him. He wouldn’t die in Liangchang Mountain. Perhaps it was his way to escape detection, who knows where he has vanished off to now..."

The Cave Master himself admitted his inferiority?

Good heavens, was this monk really that powerful?

Could this be the reason Wilson Weiss had wanted him to explore the ancient temple?

As Wilson Weiss said, if there was anything of value left, it would definitely be in that ancient temple. It seemed Wilson Weiss had quite a deep understanding of this temple that Wilson Weiss had resided in.

Carson gathered his thoughts and inquired, "Since this is a pass to Heavenly Mountain, can she enter to receive treatment?"
