Chapter 486: Chapter 486 The real Mister!_1

Carson Flores’s vision blurred slightly, and an odd space appeared before his eyes.

Although this space didn’t seem to actually exist, Carson could clearly feel, clearly "see" it.

The space was about the size of a room, and in the spacious room, there were a few items.

An ancient sword that looked quite old.

A rolled-up painting scroll.

An unassuming box.

A thin booklet.

Carson’s attention was drawn to that booklet, and the next second, the booklet was in Carson’s hand.

Carson’s eyes widened, a surprise beyond words.

A storage ring!

Carson had read about storage rings in the strange book his master had given him, which were created by Great Practitioners who engraved special spatial techniques on rings, crafting a special space within the ring that could carry and store non-living objects.

At the time, Carson had thought the book’s author was making it all up, but now he saw it was true. Did this mean that the other strange things described in the book might also be real?

Carson turned and entered a courtyard, then into a dark room, only then putting down the flashlight and starting to check the booklet.

The booklet wasn’t thick, but its contents opened Carson’s eyes to this realm for the first time.

This was the Blessed Land of Cave Heavens at Heavenly Mountain.

The Blessed Land of Cave Heavens, the true name of The Unknown Land.

Each Blessed Land of Cave Heavens was a separate space in existence, a part of this world, yet independent like the space within a storage ring, inaccessible without a pass.

The Heavenly Mountain Blessed Land of Cave Heavens was not a large one and, as Jaiden Howell had speculated, it truly was "dead."

With the dissipation of Spiritual Energy and the collapse of space, the Heavenly Mountain Blessed Land of Cave Heavens could no longer be maintained. In the end, it revealed itself to the world above, and under Wilson Weiss’s manipulation, it came to its final rest underground.

Wilson Weiss was the refined gentleman Carson had met. He was one of the teachers at the Heavenly Mountain academy, responsible for enlightening young children, and he was also a powerful figure within this Blessed Land.

Wilson Weiss could have left before the space collapsed, but he couldn’t let go of the common people here, or the children he had taught. Ultimately, he chose to go against nature, using his power alone to prevent the space from falling apart, buying time for everyone to leave, while he himself became a sacrificial guardian of this realm.

The half chessboard that Carson had encountered that day was Wilson Weiss’s final battlefield, sustaining the space from shattering, steering Heavenly Mountain into the ground, and finally perishing along with his path.

The booklet was a diary written by Wilson Weiss himself, containing his growth, his doubts, and the choices of his last moments of life.

Carson was moved in a way he couldn’t explain.

This was a truly noble teacher with a great heart!

The sword was Wilson Weiss’s personal blade, named "Three Reflections," likely referring to the proverb of reflecting on one’s actions thrice daily.

Inside the box was a Breakthrough Pill for Peak Innate Grandmasters to use during their Breakthrough, as well as a small booklet, Wilson Weiss’s own Cultivation Laws, the "Magnanimous Scripture."

After reading everything, Carson was silent for a moment, then took off the ring and respectfully placed it on a table, bowing solemnly as a student would to their teacher.

Carson had been saved by Wilson Weiss, who also passed on his legacy and gave gifts; he was not only Carson’s benefactor but also his mentor on the path of cultivation!

Without a word, Carson’s deep respect was all in his heart.

Putting the ring back on, Carson left the house and hurried in a chosen direction.

In the diary, Wilson Weiss had mentioned those bat-like creatures called Ghost-faced Bats, which feed on flesh and blood, are a type of mutant lifeforms, existing somewhere between life and death, with surprisingly strong reproductive abilities and long lifespans.

This place had been taken over by the Ghost-faced Bats, not a place to linger for long.

According to Wilson Weiss, all the inhabitants here had already evacuated, but if a person of destiny enters this place and finds his relics, they should explore the ancient temple at North Mountain for potential gains; other places would be fruitless.

Of course, things like Five Spirits Pills, in the eyes of a powerful figure like Wilson Weiss, aren’t valuable enough to take risks for.

Carson passed through the city swiftly, and on the way, he saw several spots of light, presumably other exploration teams at work. He didn’t interfere, heading straight for the North Mountain as described by Wilson Weiss.

The original height of North Mountain was unknown, but now it had been cut off in the middle. The ancient temple was located at the foot of North Mountain, and when Carson arrived, he was startled to find many lights flickering and torches lit, with quite a few people gathered around.

It seemed he wasn’t the only one who had discovered there were benefits to be had here.

Silently using the light from the temple to move forward, Carson leaped onto a tree trunk and looked into the temple’s courtyard.

There were many people in the courtyard, each group of five standing together, yet filled with hostility towards each other, ready to fight at any moment.

One person stepped forward and shouted, "There’s only one key to the Heavenly Mountain Blessed Land’s gate, and yet there are so many of us here. Why not discuss some rules on how we should proceed?"
