Chapter 457: Chapter 457: Did You Plan All This?_1

"It’s so bitter..."

Leah Frost leaned against the headboard, took the medicine bowl that Carson Flores handed her, picked up the spoon, and took a sip. Her beautiful face scrunched up in distaste.

Carson Flores was speechless. You’re already an Innate Grandmaster, and you’re still afraid of a bit of bitter medicine?

You’re acting like a child, being stubborn and coquettish. Is that reasonable?

Carson Flores skillfully took out a coconut candy, peeled off the plastic wrap, and waved it in front of Leah Frost.

Leah Frost frowned, made a face, and downed the medicine from the bowl as if it were poison.

Before Leah Frost could speak, Carson Flores had already handed her the candy.

Leah Frost leaned forward and bit the candy from Carson Flores’s hand. After sucking on it for a moment and letting the taste spread in her mouth, the expression on her face finally eased.

"What kind of medicine do you prescribe that it’s so bitter? Can’t you add some sugar to it before drinking?"

Carson Flores said in exasperation, "A bitter medicine is good for the health, haven’t you ever heard that saying?"

Leah Frost pouted: "Alright, you’re the doctor. I can’t argue with you."

Carson Flores smiled and asked, "How do you feel now?"

Leah Frost gave a thumbs up: "Your medical skills are impeccable. I’m no longer feeling stuffy in my chest, and my circulation has improved. I estimate that in one or two more days, I should be fully recovered."

Carson Flores hummed in acknowledgment: "That’s good to hear. You better not take such risks in the future."

Leah Frost argued, "But I just wanted to help you."

Carson Flores firmly said, "Even if it’s for me, it’s not okay. We should discuss everything together. You’re not allowed to shoulder everything yourself. Like this time, if you had told me, I would have had that person cooperate with you. Two against one, wouldn’t that have been easy? Why lie in bed now, drinking such bitter medicine?"

Leah Frost was speechless and could only obediently make a sound of acknowledgment.

After all, what Carson Flores said was the truth.

Not wanting Carson Flores to keep lecturing her, Leah Frost quickly changed the subject, "Isaias Vasquez is waiting for us at the Vasquez Family’s old house. How are you planning to handle this?"

Carson Flores thought for a moment: "The main problem is that I don’t know how strong Isaias Vasquez is. After all, the higher the realm, the greater the potential difference in combat power within the same realm. If the gap is too big, aren’t we just delivering ourselves to the slaughter by confronting him?"

Leah Frost laughed, "Your aunt here is not that weak. I can easily handle ordinary Innate Grandmasters, and I forcefully killed Nehemiah Vasquez. If I hadn’t rushed because I was afraid he would escape, I could’ve killed him unharmed. That’s why I went alone to block him."

Towards the end, Leah Frost couldn’t resist subtly justifying herself, although her voice unconsciously became softer when Carson Flores glared at her.

Carson Flores considered: "It would be best to be absolutely safe. I don’t want anything to happen to you."

Leah Frost asked curiously, "Can you tell me about this friend you’re cooperating with? What’s his strength?"

Carson Flores shook his head: "Rocky Stein of the Divine Cloudy Sect, I don’t know his exact strength, after all, I’m not an Innate Grandmaster. It’s hard for me to measure."

Leah Frost said in surprise, "Really, it’s Rocky Stein? Wasn’t she the one you humiliated by making her kneel before hundreds of people? She must hate you enough to want you dead. And she’s willing to help you?"

Carson Flores briefly explained his relationship with Rocky Stein, and Leah Frost suddenly realized, "So if you died, she wouldn’t be able to live either, haha, no wonder. I bet nobody else would ever guess that person is Rocky Stein, especially since everyone thinks she wants to kill you..."

Carson Flores nodded: "Rocky Stein agreed to help me on the condition that her identity isn’t revealed, so it’s enough that you know about this, Aunt."

Leah Frost had put her life on the line to help Carson Flores, so naturally, he couldn’t keep her in the dark. Moreover, if they were to confront Isaias Vasquez next, the two of them might very well need to fight together.

Leah Frost nodded: "Don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone."

After a pause, Leah Frost asked, "If Rocky Stein and I join forces against Isaias Vasquez, we shouldn’t have any big problems, right?"

Carson Flores shook his head: "Isaias Vasquez is the strongest member of the Vasquez Family, their pillar. His strength is definitely formidable. I’m still a bit worried."

Suddenly, Leah Frost smiled, "There is a surefire way to win."

Carson Flores asked, "What way?"

Leah Frost smiled, "Get the Frost Family Patriarch involved. With him making a move, plus Rocky Stein and me, Isaias Vasquez is bound to die!"

Carson Flores frowned, "But hasn’t the Frost Family Patriarch made it clear that he won’t get involved? After all, this matter has nothing to do with the Frost Family, right?"

Leah Frost chuckled slyly, her eyes as crafty as a fox’s: "That was then, this is now. Previously, when you killed six Vasquez Family Grandmasters, the Frost Family could indeed stay out of it. But now, I’ve personally killed three Grandmasters and an Innate Grandmaster from the Vasquez Family. Do you think the Frost Family can still stay out of it? Of course, the Frost Family could disown me and remain neutral, but a thirty-four-year-old Innate Grandmaster... do you think they would give that up?"

Carson Flores’s eyes widened, staring at Leah Frost in realization: "Did you already have this all figured out since we left the Frost Family?"
