Chapter 439: Chapter 439 Can we not be so childish?_1

Atop the mountain peak, two figures were clashing with incredible speed.

Their speed was so fast that one could barely make out their silhouettes, only catching glimpses of their afterimages.

"Bang!"

Following another fierce collision, both men stumbled backward.

Carson Flores braced himself on the ground with one hand and flipped backward to land steadily; he then wiped his mouth with his hand, which came away with fresh, red bloodstains.

Dax Vasquez wasn’t faring much better; though he hadn’t coughed up blood, his complexion was as red as blood, veins on his neck bulged, and he was gasping for breath as if he could hardly catch it.

Carson stood up straight and said coldly, "Your strength is indeed formidable, however, you’re old!"

Shock and rage flashed through Dax Vasquez’s eyes. He could never have imagined that Carson would be this strong!

This was outrageous!

From the very beginning, the fight had been an all-out effort, the high intensity combat putting immense strain on their bodies. Collision after collision made him feel like he couldn’t keep up!

Youth fears the strength of youth!

Just as Carson had said, if their stamina were equal, Dax Vasquez was confident he could leverage that tiny advantage, bit by bit, until it became the final straw that crushed Carson!

But he was struggling to hold on!

Looking at Carson, whose mouth was bleeding yet whose eyes still gleamed with ferocity, Dax decided to try once more!

For the pride of a Great Grandmaster within him!

Dax charged at Carson again, who showed no signs of weakness and met him head-on like a mad tiger.

The two engaged in close combat once again, each landing a punch on the other’s chest simultaneously at the end.

Carson spat out a mouthful of blood; it wasn’t better for Dax either, as he had at least two broken ribs!

Dax looked down at his chest and could no longer keep it together.

If the fight continued like this, perhaps Carson would be severely injured, but he would surely die!

This kid was a monster!

Less than two months after his Breakthrough, he possessed such terrifying combat power.

He grasped the collar of his shirt and shouted loudly, "Plan B, begin!"

Carson stared coldly at Dax Vasquez, "Calling for reinforcements, huh? Have you lost the confidence to continue the fight?"

Dax Vasquez laughed heartily, with a look of shock and anger in his eyes, "If I could kill you, I’d happily continue fighting, but since I can’t win, I’ll let others deal with you. Today, you definitely won’t leave Dongquan Mountain alive!"

Carson sneered, "I’ve been watching closely all along. Even if you have reinforcements, by the time they climb up the mountain, we’ll likely have finished our fight!"

Dax smiled coldly, his eyes full of mockery, "Since we chose Dongquan Mountain as the place for our duel, we naturally have a foolproof strategy that will leave you nowhere to run!"

"Fly?"

Carson’s eyes narrowed slightly, "If you can’t escape on the ground, you mean they’re coming from the sky?"

"Exactly, the reinforcements are indeed coming from the sky!"

Dax laughed heartily, his voice arrogant, "You think that by watching the mountain pass and ensuring no one’s coming from the foot of the mountain, you’re safe? Climbing from the bottom to the top would probably take an hour, but by helicopter, it would only take a minute at most!"

As Dax Vasquez spoke, a buzzing sound of helicopter blades slicing through the air suddenly filled the atmosphere.

Carson turned his head and saw a helicopter rising abruptly behind a nearby peak. The helicopter quickly cleared the crest, flew over the chasm between the mountains, and headed straight for the summit of Dongquan Mountain.

Carson looked at Dax Vasquez and said coldly, "But you initiated the challenge, claiming that a life-and-death battle would settle all debts. Are you planning to back out now?"

Dax Vasquez, ever cautious of Carson but with a face twisted into a wildly triumphant grin, replied, "Whatever we said, you believed it? You’re nearly thirty; can’t you be a bit less naive? If we could have located you without this, do you think we’d resort to such an old-fashioned method of dueling to lure you out?"

"Shameless!"

Carson cursed, "You go back on your word!"

Dax Vasquez, feeling immensely satisfied at this moment, laughed loudly, "Curse all you want, what can you do about it now?"

Carson glanced at the approaching helicopter, gritting his teeth before asking, "Did the Innate Grandmasters from your family come?"

Dax smiled, "Why use a sledgehammer to crack a nut? However, there are four Grandmasters on that helicopter, plus me, that’s five. Do you think you have a chance to escape today?"

The helicopter was nearly atop the mountain, and Dax sneered, "Having the Vasquez Family mobilize five Grandmasters just for you, do you think you have even the slightest hope left?"

Carson stared at Dax Vasquez, his eyes suddenly filled with mockery, "There’s always hope, it just depends on whether your reinforcements can withstand it."

Dax’s expression changed slightly, and he instinctively turned his head towards the helicopter.

The helicopter had already crossed the ridge and was quickly ascending toward the summit. The pilot surveyed the scene below before preparing to land.

However, just at that moment, a massive stone with a diameter of over a meter suddenly flew out from the nearby woods and headed straight for the descending helicopter.
