Chapter 433: Chapter 433: I Can Kill You All By Myself_1
The evening breeze was gentle, and the west suburb dock, bustling during the day, had quieted down for the night.
Carson Flores drove his red Ferrari off the main road and followed the concrete path downward, eventually arriving at the dock’s warehouse number eight.
After parking his car, Carson stood in the wide yard, looked around, fished out a cigarette, and lit one for himself.
"Clap clap clap!"
The sound of applause echoed in the emptiness.
Santino Vasquez walked out from a nearby building, followed by three men.
"Carson, I really admire you," said Vasquez. "To come all by yourself, you’ve got guts!"
Carson glanced at the three men behind Santino Vasquez and laughed, "I was thinking of finding you quietly and taking you out silently, but since you took the initiative to come to me, there was no reason for me not to."
The expression on Santino Vasquez’s face stiffened as he sneered, "It seems that luck isn’t on your side. If I hadn’t encountered you and found out you’d come to West Capital, given your skills, it would have been all too easy for you to silently kill me. But now that I’ve stumbled upon you by chance, you won’t have that opportunity anymore."
Carson, calmly smoking his cigarette, replied, "Opportunity? Heh, isn’t this an opportunity right now? You chose a good place. It’s quiet, convenient for killing."
Santino Vasquez slowly nodded: "That’s what I was thinking too."
Carson’s gaze fell on the three men behind Santino Vasquez, and he said with a smile, "I was contemplating whether you’d bring out the Innate Grandmaster of the Vasquez Family. It seems I’ve overestimated you. But it’s no surprise, given that you have some skills, but at the end of the day you’re just an inferior cultivator, at most good for doing grunt work for the family. Who’d take you seriously?"
The color on Santino Vasquez’s face suddenly turned dark. Being talentless in cultivation was his greatest pain, and Carson’s words were like forcibly tearing open his wounds and ruthlessly sprinkling salt over them.
"Not old, but the words you speak are not small," said the man to Santino’s left with a cold laugh. "Are you too full of yourself? Just with you, a green boy, you want the Vasquez Family to send an Innate Grandmaster?"
Carson sighed, "I’m just being kind-hearted."
The man sneered, "Kind-hearted?"
Carson grinned, "Yeah, with the Innate Grandmaster here, you could easily take me down and not even give me a chance to run, right?"
The man scoffed, "Run? Now run for me to see?"
Carson eyed the man, guessing him to be about fifty-six or seven years old, and casually asked, "And who might you be?"
The man smirked, his smile somewhat grim, "I am Santino’s father, Caiden Vasquez."
Carson realized: "So, you’ve come to stand up for your son, not bad. And the other two, care to introduce them as well?"
Caiden Vasquez’s expression turned slightly strange, was this kid not afraid at all?
Was it the braveness that comes with skill, or was it the foolish boldness of blind self-confidence?
Santino Vasquez said coldly, "These are my great uncle and my eleventh uncle."
Carson smacked his lips in admiration, "Noble families are different indeed, with a bunch of uncles around. So, Santino Vasquez, you say our feud ends today. How should we settle it? I never wronged you before, yet you had people kidnap us. What exactly do you want?"
How should it be settled?
Looking at Carson, Santino Vasquez appeared somewhat confused. Could it be that this guy thinks I’ve asked him here to apologize?
In front of his father and uncles, Santino Vasquez naturally didn’t have the gall to say he wanted to kill Carson to take Shirley Miller for himself, so he could only sneer, "You’ve gone too far and I intend to deal with you!"
Carson laughed, "Thick-skinned, to actually say that. Alright then, let’s not talk about the past. Tell me how you plan to proceed now. Negotiate, or just start fighting and get rid of me?"
Caiden Vasquez sneered, "This place has good feng shui; since you’ve come, might as well be buried here."
"So it’s murder then. Okay, let’s just be straightforward."
Carson nodded and murmured, "What bothers me most is you noble family disciples who always go on about ’I am from so-and-so family,’ bullying others with your power. And when someone puts you in your place, crying for daddy and mommy, running home to complain and seeking reinforcements, the typical case of the small bringing along the old..."
Santino Vasquez sneered, "If you’re so capable, call for help too, although I’m afraid you won’t be able to find anyone."
Carson smiled and said, "Santino Vasquez, guess why when you called, I came straight here?"
Santino Vasquez mocked, "Because you think you’re a Grandmaster, think you’re incredible, fearless, right? But you’ve forgotten, you’re just a Grandmaster, while my Vasquez Family has many Grandmasters, plus a Great Grandmaster and an Innate Grandmaster. As a mere Grandmaster, what can you possibly do against my Vasquez Family?"
Carson shook his head lightly, "Wrong answer."
Santino Vasquez raised an eyebrow, speaking in a relaxed tone, "Not that? Then what is it?"
Carson cracked a smile, the grin now laced with a chilling murderous intent, "That’s because I, alone, can wipe out all of you!"
