Chapter 327: Chapter 327 Shirley Miller, you forced me! _1

Santino Vasquez sat in the car, staring at the phone screen, feeling somewhat anxious as he waited.

How would Shirley Miller reply?

"Ding"

A message arrived.

Shirley Miller: "Don’t tell me you saw Carson Flores?"

Santino Vasquez was stunned.

Did she guess right on the first try?

Did she really know about Camille Rhodes and Carson Flores’s ambiguous relationship and not care at all?

Santino Vasquez: "How did you guess so accurately?"

Shirley Miller: "You know him, Camille knows him, and the only one I know would be Carson Flores."

For a moment, Santino Vasquez didn’t know how to reply to this message. Your reaction isn’t right!

It’s too nonchalant.

You’ve got me confused here.

After some thought, Santino Vasquez finally sorted out his thoughts and continued replying to the message.

"Camille Rhodes was arm in arm with Carson Flores, looking intimate. What’s their relationship, do you know?"

Shirley Miller: "Friends, that’s all I know, but thanks for the heads up. It’s getting late; I need to go put on a face mask. Talk later."

Friends?

She really knew?

I even pointedly mentioned them arm in arm, looking intimate, and you reply so indifferently?

Are you still the icy, noble goddess I knew?

Jealousy and discontent flared in Santino Vasquez’s eyes.

Previously, when Shirley Miller said she was married, arranged marriage, he thought it was somewhat preposterous but could still accept it, knowing well that Shirley Miller depended wholly on her grandfather, obeyed him in everything, and would agree to any suitor her grandfather chose, regardless of her own feelings.

Although Santino Vasquez was reluctant and dejected, he hadn’t completely lost his senses.

But today’s events completely broke through his defenses.

I treasure you like a gem, yet you treat yourself like a blade of grass!

If you don’t cherish yourself, then there’s no need for me to cherish you either!

If I can’t have you, then I’ll destroy you!

And Carson Flores, I will make you kneel before me, begging for mercy!

Santino Vasquez’s face darkened as he made a call.

"Brother Guan, I need to deal with some people recently, and I could use some help."

A robust voice came through the phone: "Who’s the fool that dared to mess with Young Master Vasquez? Isn’t that like courting death?"

Santino Vasquez casually replied, "I need a few Cultivators who can handle things cleanly without leaving a trail. Is it possible?"

"Of course, it’s possible!"

The man’s hearty response followed: "When do you need them, and are they Cultivators?"

Santino Vasquez thought for a moment. Shirley Miller wasn’t a Cultivator, and Carson Flores was discharged from the military, probably not a Cultivator either, and even if he had some training, it would likely just be some rudimentary moves.

"They shouldn’t be."

Santino Vasquez replied and then quickly added, "Just to be safe, send me some of your best. I need them tomorrow!"

"Alright, I’ll arrange it personally and have them contact you!"

"Thanks, we’ll drink to it later."

The man chuckled: "Ok, looking forward to the good news."

Santino Vasquez hung up the phone, his gaze icy cold.

Shirley Miller, you brought this upon yourself. You forced my hand!

...

Because of the major blunder caused by Camille Rhodes, Carson Flores ultimately didn’t have the confidence to join her in revelry, instead asking Camille to drop him off at the hotel.

Upon entering his room, Carson felt a sense of relief, akin to secretly sneaking back home without the wife noticing, a strangely comforting feeling.

After a shower, Carson saw a new message from Shirley Miller on his phone.

Shirley Miller: "Are you available now?"

Carson tensed up. Was she going to scrutinize him?

Carson: "I just took a shower, so yeah, I’m free. Should I come over?"

Shirley Miller: "I’ll come to you."

When Carson went to the door and opened it, he saw Shirley Miller, dressed in a dress, approaching.

Huh, she’s not wearing a bathrobe today?

A change of style?

Carson felt inexplicably nervous: "Why are you still dressed at this hour?"

As soon as he spoke, Carson felt embarrassed and quickly explained, "Err, that’s not what I meant. Usually, you wear pajamas or a bathrobe, so seeing you this formal today is a bit unusual..."

Shirley Miller pressed her lips together in a smile and entered the room: "Are you getting ready for bed?"

Uncertain of Shirley’s thoughts, Carson vaguely responded, "Nothing to do, was just planning to lie down and watch TV."

Shirley Miller suddenly said softly, "I want to go home."

Carson was startled: "You mean back to Polgel, or to the Miller Family home from your childhood?"

Shirley Miller fixed her gaze on Carson: "My childhood home."

Carson asked, "Right now?"

Shirley Miller bit her lip: "Would it be too much trouble?"

Carson shook his head: "Not at all, I’m wide awake anyway, not sure what to do with myself, so let’s go!"

Shirley’s eyes shone with a hint of surprise: "Thank you."

Carson laughed: "It’s no big deal. Didn’t they say everything was already sorted out? I’ll just change clothes and we can leave!"

"I’ll wait for you at the door!"

Carson quickly changed clothes, feeling a wave of relief wash over him.

Could it be that Santino Vasquez didn’t snitch?

That doesn’t seem logical, does it?

I’ll have to suss things out later...
