Chapter 302: Chapter 302 Can I have something cold to drink today_1
Street food stall.
Camille Rhodes was like a proud white swan that suddenly descended into a mud pit where ducks played, attracting everyone’s attention.
There was no helping it, Camille Rhodes was too beautiful.
Not only was she beautiful, but her fashion sense was also so distinctive that anyone with a discerning eye could tell that the cost of her outfit was probably enough to buy out ten of these street food stalls and still have change to spare.
Such a woman should be wearing a glamorous dress, bearing a proud yet noble smile at a Western restaurant or in a high-class banquet hall, shouldn’t she?
Yet, here she was at this roadside food stall?
Everyone’s eyes couldn’t help but fall on Carson Flores, their gazes filled with envy and jealousy.
He was quite handsome, but that seemed to be about it, right?
Camille Rhodes didn’t show any signs of disdain and sat down generously, laughing and saying, "Everyone is looking at you, tell me, do you think they’re envious or jealous?"
Carson Flores laughed and said, "Envy, jealousy, and hate, maybe they’re wondering what virtues I have for a great beauty to keep me company at a street stall like this, when such beauties should be frequenting high-class restaurants?"
Camille Rhodes said with a smile, "Doesn’t that give you a lot of face?"
Carson Flores laughed, "Yeah, it greatly satisfies my vanity... It seems like you’re not uncomfortable at all, could it be that Miss Rhodes is accustomed to such places?"
Camille Rhodes laughed, "What’s there to be uncomfortable about? The tastiest food is found in the streets and alleys. Though it might not be as hygienic, a bit greasy, and strong-flavored, the taste might not be worse than that of a five-star hotel. Anyway, as long as it doesn’t give me diarrhea, it’s fine."
Carson handed the menu to Camille, "Then you order, see what you like to eat. Many people don’t think this way, they believe that eating at such places would dirty their clothes and lower their style."
Camille took the menu, her tone casual as she laughed, "That just means those fussing people aren’t rich enough. If clothes get dirty, just wash them. If they can’t be cleaned, throw them away and buy new ones. It’s like common folks wearing a thirty-dollar T-shirt; would they care so much about it? Clothes are meant to be worn, not to hang on the body like an exhibition..."
Carson said with a laugh, "You make a convincing argument!"
Camille ticked off some items on the menu, whispering with a laugh, "If you save up for months to buy a bag or a brand-name outfit, you’ll naturally care a lot about it, because if it gets dirty or ruined, you might not have a replacement, or buying another would be painful. Naturally, you’ll care, but if you’re buying these clothes like they’re cabbages, you won’t care that much; it’s just an ordinary piece of clothing."
Carson chuckled, "While your way of declaring that your family is rich is quite unique, I have to say, the way you put it, it makes you seem so stylish and generous!"
Camille lifted her head and gave Carson a sweet smile, "Thanks for the compliment, I’m very happy to hear you praise me like that!"
Carson added a couple more dishes and then handed the menu to the waiter, "A case of beer... chilled?"
"Mhm!"
Camille agreed with a word, and after the waiter left, she blinked at Carson, "I can drink cold ones today."
When a woman tells you she can drink cold drinks today, every man knows what that means.
Carson’s eyes lit up, "Are you trying to make sure I can’t focus on my food?"
Camille smiled triumphantly, "I didn’t say anything, though."
Carson stared at Camille, "I’ve noticed that you don’t seem to care whether I’m married or not, even finding enjoyment in it, and it seems you find the situation amusing. For that, you even went to find my wife specially, wanting to outshine her?"
Camille admitted frankly, "I can’t outshine her, your wife is so beautiful, and she has such a presence, a CEO vibe that I envy."
Carson found this interesting, "You envy her? She’s envious of you, saying you’re full of femininity, beautiful, and charming..."
Camille’s eyes immediately brightened, "Really? You’re not lying to me?"
Carson nodded, "Why would I lie to you? There’s no benefit in it for me."
Camille said with a giggle, "Doesn’t that mean we both have an eye for beauty, understanding and appreciating each other?"
Carson joked, "Yes, it’s a shame that you’re both women, otherwise, if you two clicked emotionally, wouldn’t that be even better?"
Camille’s eyes shimmered like water, "That’s not impossible either, I like beautiful women too, don’t you think that beautiful creatures are loved by everyone, regardless of gender?"
Carson was dumbfounded, "You aren’t bisexual by any chance, are you? Fancying women too, that’s quite progressive, isn’t it?"
Camille huffed, "It’s an appreciation for beautiful things, alright? Pull a few women and ask them if they like that kind of beautiful woman, if they had the chance to share a bed or even hug and cuddle, see if they wouldn’t be happy."
Carson laughed, "You’re a great beauty yourself, with a top-notch figure, do you really need to hold someone else?"
Camille said teasingly, "Is the feeling the same between touching oneself and others?"
Carson quickly changed the subject, "Stop, stop, if we continue, I’m afraid everyone will start to gather around us."
Camille’s smile bloomed like a flower, "What’s there to fear? I’m not afraid."
The waiter brought over the beer, and Carson opened one and placed a bottle in front of Camille.
Just as the two were about to clink glasses, a BMW X7 parked at the side of the road, the window slid down revealing Shirley Miller’s coldly beautiful figure.
"Carson!"
