Chapter 277: Chapter 277: Strength Does Wonders, Get it?_1

It’s actually true!

There’s really that much money in the card!

Henry White’s face became somewhat awkward, Harper Miller’s complexion also turned quite unsightly, her previous arrogance gone, and she struggled to maintain her dignity.

Carson Flores hung up the phone with a smile and said, "The asset verification is OK now, so we can proceed, right? Oh, by the way, Miss Miller, would you like to verify your assets too?"

Harper Miller sneered, "Who carries tens of millions around with them when they step out?"

Carson Flores with a strange tone, "What, isn’t it just a matter of a bank card? Or is your money so much that it has to be divided among seven or eight banks?"

Harper Miller’s teeth clenched tightly, feeling like Carson Flores was slapping her in the face.

"Fine, if you want to bet big, I’ll take the bet!"

Carson Flores laughed and said, "Alright, but... where’s the money?"

Harper Miller snapped, "Will the Miller Family lack your tiny twenty million? Besides, I haven’t lost yet!"

Carson Flores showed no consideration for Harper Miller, "Of course the Miller Family doesn’t lack twenty million, but that money belongs to the Miller Family, not just Miss Miller alone, right? Does Miss Miller have shares in a corporation, or substantial real estate assets, or a hefty bank deposit in her name?"

Harper Miller’s face instantly turned as red as blood, Carson Flores’s words stabbing her over and over again.

Too humiliating!

Henry White could not watch anymore, chiming in, "Mr. Flores, you seem unaware of the Miller Family’s position in Seashore. A mere twenty million is nothing to the Miller Family..."

Carson Flores chuckled, "Alright, since you both say so, I’ll trust you this time. No need for asset verification. Let’s do it, how shall we bet?"

Harper Miller coldly huffed, "Me and Henry against the two of you, one game to determine the winner, with a twenty million stake!"

Carson Flores readily agreed, "Fine."

Samantha Tate immediately tensed up. Her skills were top-notch, but wasn’t Carson Flores just learning from her?

Although he looked skilled, there was still a big gap from top experts. Harper Miller and Henry White agreed to a twenty million bet, indicating their confidence in their own abilities; and united, how could they be defeated?

Samantha Tate stretched out her hand and gently tugged the hem of Carson Flores’s clothes, her eyes seeking help as she looked at him.

Carson Flores turned his head and immediately said with a smile, "Don’t worry, you taught me well earlier, right? There will be no problem, just play normally and leave the rest to me."

Samantha Tate was speechless, leave it to you? That’s what I’m worried about, you know?

You, a beginner, betting twenty million, isn’t that just giving money away?

Carson Flores put his arm around Samantha Tate and smiled, "Let’s go."

Henry White and Harper Miller, listening to their conversation, their eyes suddenly lit up.

Samantha Tate teaching Carson Flores how to bowl?

Does that mean Carson Flores isn’t that great?

Doesn’t that mean the two of us are sure to win?

After exchanging glances, both saw the surprise and confidence in each other’s eyes.

After Samantha Tate and Harper Miller confirmed the rules, the two teams began the match.

Harper Miller and Henry White went first, and both were indeed experts, using two opportunities to knock down all the pins.

The two high-fived, celebrating briefly, then provocatively looked at Carson Flores and Samantha Tate.

Though they were not quite up to professional standards, they were indeed top-notch among amateurs.

Samantha Tate felt the pressure, becoming somewhat nervous.

Carson Flores patted Samantha Tate on the shoulder and whispered in her ear, "Don’t be nervous, just play normally. If we lose, I’ll just refuse to pay up, don’t be afraid."

Samantha Tate was amused by Carson Flores’s words, refuse to pay up?

Are you serious?

After rolling her eyes at Carson Flores, Samantha Tate picked up the ball, stepped up, and bowled.

The ball was slightly off, leaving two pins on the left side. Samantha Tate took a deep breath, picked up another ball, stepped up, and threw.

The bowling ball accurately hit the remaining two pins, knocking them down.

Samantha Tate breathed a sigh of relief, moving aside and watching Carson Flores worriedly.

She had tied with one of them, both scoring a spare, but what about Carson Flores?

Could he clear the pins with two throws?

Carson Flores said, "Nice!"

Samantha Tate pursed her lips, "It’s your turn."

Carson Flores walked to the bowling rack, not caring how many pounds the balls were, and just picked up the heaviest one available.

Henry White commented with a smile, "Heavy bowling balls certainly carry more momentum, but they’re also harder to control."

Carson Flores smiled slightly, "I definitely can’t beat you guys with technique, but there’s a saying: ’Brute force can make miracles happen,’ have you heard of it?"

Harper Miller scoffed, "Bowling is about technique, not brute strength. If brute force was enough to win, why would he bowl at all? He might as well go weightlifting?"

Carson Flores just smiled and said nothing more. He gripped the bowling ball, walked onto the lane, and without any finesse, sent the ball flying down.

The moment the bowling ball left his hand, it hit the lane and sped towards the front — not rolling, but charging.

The ball had almost no spin at all and traveled at least twice the speed of an ordinary throw, tracing a perfectly straight line down the lane and hitting the center pin without any deviation.

"Bang!"

A crisp and exploding noise suddenly erupted, the pins scattering as if hit by a cannonball, the tremendous momentum released in an instant, all ten pins knocked cleanly away.

Strike!
