Chapter 246: Chapter 246 Quietly Tell Me, I Won’t Tell Her_1
Carson Flores sized up Wayne Singleton and noticed his expression was very calm, with no sign of unease, which immediately made him understand.
Wayne probably didn’t care either. He must be very clear that someone like Kylie Martinez, with her family background, wouldn’t play any real feelings with him, and there wouldn’t be any future for them.
It was just a casual fling, mutually consensual, all in good fun.
Not to mention Kylie’s socialite status, but just on her personal merits alone, what man would pass up the opportunity to sleep with her?
Camille Rhodes, having seen much of this, spoke so bluntly because she knew nobody would mind such a remark.
The atmosphere at the dining table was temporarily calm.
Halfway through the meal, Camille got up to go to the restroom, and Kylie picked up her wine glass, "Carson, how did you meet Camille?"
Carson clinked his glass with hers, "We met through gaming."
Kylie was taken aback, an answer she hadn’t anticipated.
"Gaming?"
Carson replied, "We were drinking at a bar, our seats were next to each other. I was playing games and kept losing, so she watched me play so poorly and decided to join me for duo queue. That’s how we met."
Kylie, with a look of surprise, "Really? That works?"
"So what’s your relationship with her now? She seemed so anxious about you, she almost wanted to take you with her to the restroom..."
Carson chuckled, "Just friends. She’s just afraid you’ll bully me."
Kylie burst out laughing, her laughter causing her to quiver like branches in the wind, her curves drawing attention, "You, a big guy, and me, a frail woman, how could I bully you? By the way, I like to play ranked when I’m bored. Let’s exchange contact details and play games together, I’m really slick at it!"
Carson smiled but declined gently, "Let’s not, I rarely play nowadays."
Kylie laughed softly, leaning in closer to Carson and whispered, "Don’t worry, I won’t tell Camille. It’s always good to have more friends; I love making friends."
As Kylie leaned to talk to Carson, her neckline opened up quite a bit more, revealing her deep cleavage which inevitably drew his gaze, making it difficult to look away.
Carson was speechless. To think such trivial tricks would be used on him, as if he’d never seen a woman before?
If he really added her, no doubt she had a series of little schemes lined up. If she wanted to make a short-term joke out of Camille, she could simply tell Camille, "Your boyfriend added me, and he’s chatting with me about all sorts of flirty things," to make Camille angry.
If more insidious, she might pretend to keep the secret, flirt with him privately, like fishing, even possibly sleeping with him, and then when all the evidence was collected, she’d tell Camille, hitting her hard in the face.
Your charm isn’t good enough.
Your boyfriend slept with me, means your charm isn’t as great as mine.
He also said you’re no fun in bed, like a log.
Wouldn’t that just make Camille explode with rage?
Carson smiled and firmly declined, "Adding you would upset Camille, so I won’t do it."
Kylie blinked her eyes, "You really are a gentle and principled man, no wonder Camille cares so much about you."
Carson didn’t take the bait at all, "Of course, friends have to care about each other’s feelings."
Kylie giggled without pursuing the matter of exchanging contact information anymore. After all, she wasn’t clear about whether Carson was really Camille’s boyfriend. If he was, she would definitely intensify her efforts; if not, why bother going through all that trouble?
Camille returned and glanced at Carson, then at Kylie, "Did she ask you to exchange contact details?"
Carson chuckled, "Yes."
Camille gave a wry laugh, "She must have also said she wouldn’t tell me if you did, right?"
Carson nodded, "Right."
Camille looked intently at Carson, "You definitely didn’t agree. What reason did you give for refusing?"
Carson answered, "Friends should take care of each other’s feelings."
Camille’s eyes sparkled, a smile spreading across her face as she raised her glass to Carson, "Cheers to friendship."
Carson smiled and clinked glasses with Camille.
Kylie, not the least bit embarrassed by being exposed, naturally changed the subject, "My brother is going to race himself tonight."
Camille was taken aback, "Who is he racing against?"
Kylie responded, "A competitor. The general manager of Tai’an Biotech. They’re vying for the bidding rights on a project, and they’ve agreed to settle it with a race. Whoever loses will back out."
Camille frowned, "Tai’an Biotech, that’s a big company too. Who’s their racer?"
Kylie shook her head, "Not sure, but it’s definitely one of the top racers because the project is worth ten billion, with profits of at least half. Biotech profits are very high, so for this project, any amazing racer could be hired."
Camille’s interest was piqued, "Kylan is so confident to race himself?"
Kylie said proudly, "In other places, my brother might not be able to beat those super racers, but on this track, whoever comes will lose!"
