Chapter 175: Chapter 175 I Compensate Myself to You_1
Gilliam Real Estate?
Am I really that lucky one?
Adan Gilliam’s face instantly turned red, and he was caught up in immense ecstasy, feeling the dizzying happiness of being struck on the head by a gold brick.
All eyes swiftly turned to Adan Gilliam, filled with shock.
How could it be him?
In the real estate industry, everyone naturally knew each other’s backgrounds, and nobody had expected the final lucky recipient to be the unremarkable and inconspicuous Gilliam Real Estate.
"Congratulations, President Gilliam, you’re going to strike it rich now!"
"President Gilliam, you’ve really kept a low profile, giving us such a huge surprise!"
"Congratulations, congratulations!"
While suppressing his overwhelming joy, Adan Gilliam mingled with everyone, and then he was invited on stage to deliver a speech and interact briefly with Leonard Reid.
Down below, Samantha Tate clung to Carson Flores’s arm and asked softly, "Brother, did you help with this?"
Carson Flores shook his head, "I didn’t talk to Mr. Reid about this, and he didn’t mention anything to me."
Samantha Tate blinked, "It seems like Mr. Reid wants to owe you a big favor."
Carson Flores smiled, "Well, it doesn’t matter to him who he partners with, as he has the strength to handle it on his own. Choosing a local company to develop simply reduces the hassle."
Looking at Carson Flores with admiration, Samantha Tate said, "You’ve really helped the Gilliam family a lot with this. I don’t even know how to thank you."
Carson Flores smiled faintly, "Aren’t you my girlfriend? There’s no need to keep score. Besides, now that Mr. Reid has announced it, I can’t just stop him, tell him I don’t want the favor, and ask him to pick another real estate company to partner with, can I?"
"That definitely won’t do!"
Samantha Tate wrapped her arms tighter around Carson Flores’s arm, pressing herself against him without any reservation, leaned her head in, and whispered, "At worst, the daughter pays off the father’s debt. I’ll make it up to you—with myself. You can do whatever you like with me."
Her voice was soft and carried the unique charm of a woman, tickling his heart upon entering his ears.
Carson Flores replied with a laugh, "Deal, I accept."
Samantha Tate’s eyes shone brightly with joy as she hummed softly, "You’ve agreed, you’re not allowed to back out."
Turning to look into Samantha Tate’s eyes, Carson Flores chuckled in response, "Why would I run from such a beautiful woman? I’m not foolish."
Samantha Tate laughed, her laughter bright and radiant like a blooming flower, as if all the light in the banquet hall was converging on her face, so attractive and dazzling that one couldn’t look away.
After stepping down from the stage, Adan Gilliam returned to join the three of them, his eyes on Carson Flores, his expression excited.
"Carson, I really owe you one this time. I don’t know how to thank you," Adan Gilliam expressed with excitement.
Carson Flores smiled, "Family shouldn’t talk like strangers, don’t worry about it."
With his face flushed and in an excited state, Adan Gilliam nodded repeatedly, "That’s right, family!"
Seeing this, Samantha Tate teased with a merry smile, "Dad, aren’t my eyes good? I persistently found you a son-in-law with remarkable capabilities, and he even helped you land a big project. You should thank me."
Adan Gilliam looked somewhat embarrassed, but his excitement overrode it, "Yes, yes, Dad’s eye isn’t as good as yours."
After the announcement, the rest of the event shifted to casual drinking and networking. Adan Gilliam was quickly surrounded by many people.
Carson Flores and Samantha Tate didn’t want to be bothered, so they slipped out to the balcony of the banquet hall.
Leonard Reid approached with a smile, "Mr. Flores, seeking some peace and quiet here?"
Keenly observant, Samantha Tate chimed in with a light laugh, "You two chat, I need to use the restroom."
After Samantha Tate left, Carson Flores raised his glass to Leonard Reid, clinking it against his, "Mr. Reid, this sudden move of yours has caught me off guard."
Leonard Reid laughed, "I don’t have many friends in Polgel, Mr. Flores has helped me a lot and is also my friend, water should flow to the inner fields first."
Carson Flores chuckled, "Thanks."
Leonard Reid laughed heartily, "I didn’t come here to hear you say thanks. If you consider me a friend you can forge bonds with, then don’t be so formal with me. I came to ask, do you have a grudge against Oscar Miller?"
Carson Flores raised an eyebrow, "Did he come to you?"
Leonard Reid nodded, recounting everything Oscar Miller had mentioned to him, "One can see he seems very hostile towards you, and I guess he’s going to try to target you."
Carson Flores nodded, "If he wants to play, I’ll play with him. It’s no big deal. But, Mr. Reid, you were faced with a choice between two options. It’s such an easy multiple-choice question; why pick me and not the Miller family? What were you thinking?"
Westley Reid chuckled, "First, I owe you a favor. Second, I want to be your friend. Third, I don’t want to get too close to the Miller family. Doing business with such a family always feels like making a deal with a tiger; not that I’m afraid, but I don’t want to deal with unnecessary trouble... Is that reason enough? If not, let me add another, that kid is way too arrogant. He’s not even the Family Head yet, but already acts high and mighty, and that rubs me the wrong way."
Carson Flores laughed lightly, "The Miller family is a power in Tianhai Province, and you just trust me not to be crushed by them?"
Leonard Reid laughed out loud, "To be honest, I was a bit worried at first, but seeing your reaction now, I know I made the right choice. Although I’m not clear about your capabilities and background, Mr. Flores, I predict that Oscar Miller is in big trouble for messing with you!"
