Chapter 1583: Chapter 1583: Don’t Mess with That Demon Anymore!

"We don’t know either. It was a war trophy we grabbed from someone else. We’ve studied it and guessed it might be a token, but we’ve asked around and haven’t heard of anyone using a skull emblem as a Sect symbol..."

Carson Flores weighed it in his hands; this jade was about ten centimeters tall, pitch black, and quite hefty.

A token?

A token?

Carson carefully perceived it, only to discover that the jade stone seemed to have Spiritual Energy fluctuations within.

June Weiss, observing Carson’s actions, explained, "We also noticed the Spiritual Energy fluctuations inside, but we didn’t dare to break it open and check. With this kind of design, breaking it would surely render anything inside ineffective..."

Carson nodded, not probing further, and directly tossed it into his Space Ring.

Instinct told him that this thing surely had a significant background, but since it was unclear, he might as well leave it be.

Maybe one day he would understand it.

After Carson finished searching through their Space Rings, he casually tossed them back, also throwing over a bottle of ointment.

The two women scanned it with their Divine Sense and were immediately delighted.

Although Carson had taken all the most valuable items, he had left their combat-use magical treasures intact.

"Alright, treat your wounds and rest."

Carson again took out a small pavilion, lay down on the couch, and closed his eyes.

The two women exchanged glances, eyes filled with surprise. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

Did this matter just end like that?

After being toyed with by Carson, they almost forgot they were Peak True Immortals, while Carson was only an Early Stage Earth Immortal, instead feeling like Carson was the boss and they were the small fry.

The two ran far away, where June Weiss applied ointment to Mona’s shoulder while communicating through sound transmission.

"What’s the situation now, did he let us go?"

"Probably. He just wanted to punish us a bit, relieve his anger, and didn’t actually intend to kill us."

"Should we run now?"

"Our Sea of Consciousness has been sealed. How can we run? In this desolate wilderness, meeting a slightly stronger Demonic Beast would mean death for all of us!"

"What method did he use that we got hit without even realizing?"

"We drugged him with the juice, he must have drugged our food. He’s an Alchemist, naturally he has elixirs. We eagerly ate his meals every day, making it easy for him to drug us..."

"Right, with those spicy dishes, who knows how much drug was mixed in. We couldn’t taste it! He took us camping in the wilderness, anticipating we might make a move against him, so he drugged us. The drug likely required battle to activate its effects, which is why he attacked us first. Once we activated our Spiritual Energy, the drug quickly took effect."

"He’s so cunning! Wasn’t he afraid we’d attack him directly?"

"He knew we were Peak True Immortals but showed no fear, and now returned even our weapons. I think they’re simply not afraid of us."

"I feel like he’s testing us. If we run or show defiance and attack again, next time he definitely won’t show mercy."

June Weiss quickly treated Mona’s wounds, remained silent for a few seconds, then said softly, "Let’s go back. Let’s not think of revenge. This time we were defeated, but he spared our lives; we’re lucky. We shouldn’t be ungrateful."

Although Mona felt indignant, recalling the feeling of being touched gave her a shudder of fear.

Better not provoke that Demon again!

This time she was spared, but if truly provoked and he had slept with her, what then?

Carson hadn’t shown much, but the two women developed an inexplicable fear of him.

With complex feelings, they returned to the original place, sat on chairs, and meditated until dawn.

The morning sun shone over the mountains and forests as Carson lazily got up.

He leisurely made himself a bowl of clear noodle soup with a poached egg, not planning to share with the two women this time.

Carson, thoroughly enjoying his breakfast, satisfied his appetite, and was about to clean up the dishes when June Weiss quickly approached.

"Young Master Lin, let me do it."

Carson was taken aback but then smiled, "So diligent, had I known, I would’ve let you cook too." 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

June Weiss replied softly, "If Young Master Lin doesn’t mind, I’m willing to, though my cooking skills are limited and might not be as good as your dishes."

Once June Weiss tidied up the dishes, Carson packed up and threw a porcelain bottle to the two of them, containing two elixirs inside.

"These two elixirs can cure your conditions."

Carson’s tone remained calm, "Walking down a dark path too often, you eventually encounter a ghost; capsizing is only a matter of time. I didn’t sleep with you nor kill you, but that doesn’t mean others won’t. I advise you to take the right path sooner."

"You plotted against me, and I took your magical treasures; we’re even. From now on, let’s part ways. Of course, if you’re unwilling to forgive, you can come seek revenge."

After finishing, Carson ascended into the air, ready to leave.

June Weiss suddenly called out, "Young Master Lin, wait a moment!"
