Chapter 1465: Chapter 1465: Mediation? You’re Worthy of That?
Valley of Myriad Medicines, at the entrance of the valley.
The disciples of the Valley of Myriad Medicines were fully armed, their expressions tense and uneasy.
They were acutely aware that if today’s trouble could not be resolved, the entire valley would be razed to the ground, and their fate would be anything but pleasant.
Gideon Campbell appeared calm, but there was a hint of urgency in his eyes.
The valley was founded by his master, Maison O’Donnell, who accepted many disciples; several of whom had already reached the True Immortal Realm. However, only the master had achieved the Golden Immortal Realm.
The Valley of Myriad Medicines was a personal force akin to East Hua’s Tongtian Cavern, both established by an individual. Its existence had not been long, and its disciples had yet to mature fully. The true pillar of the force was the founder alone.
Personal forces were rampant in the Immortal Realm, mostly established by accomplished loose cultivators. Thousands upon thousands of cultivators aspired to create a force of their own.
Once Maison O’Donnell fell, the Valley of Myriad Medicines would be leaderless.
Maison O’Donnell naturally had some allies, but their opponents had not even granted them the chance to summon reinforcements. Besides, Green Willow Sect had only given a ten-day deadline—far too short to call for help.
Gideon Campbell instinctively glanced at Carson Flores, who stood beside him. Whether the valley could survive today depended entirely on the sudden appearance of Carson Flores.
If he were just a typical disciple of the White Crane Immortal Sect, Gideon Campbell naturally wouldn’t place high hopes on him. But Carson Flores was the disciple of Bank Austin, now the Peak Master of the Heavenly Sword Peak within the White Crane Immortal Sect—the Sect Master’s junior uncle!
Although Gideon Campbell dared not fully rely on Carson Flores to resolve the matter, he hoped that Carson Flores could hold the opponent back, make them reconsider their intent to annihilate the valley, and at least allow him to take a step back and offer some reparations. No matter what, surviving today came first.
Selah Ellison Fairy appeared quite young, keeping silent and revealing nothing of her identity. Gideon Campbell hadn’t thought much of it, as he was counting on influence rather than sheer strength. He didn’t believe Carson Flores and Selah Ellison could truly stop Nathanael Hinton with their power.
A flash of golden light heralded the arrival of Nathanael Hinton, his green robe billowing in the wind. Four companions followed closely behind him, each bearing an air of cold arrogance.
The five landed opposite the disciples of the Valley of Myriad Medicines. The middle-aged man beside Nathanael Hinton coldly stated, "Gideon Campbell, the ten-day deadline has passed. Have you made your decision? Compensation, or destruction?"
Gideon Campbell replied solemnly, "Braden James, your Green Willow Sect is being far too overbearing!"
Braden James let his eyes sweep over Carson Flores standing to the side. His gaze lingered briefly on the White Crane emblem on Carson’s chest, before a mocking smile appeared on his face.
"White Crane Immortal Sect? Gideon Campbell, is this your reinforcement and your confidence today?"
Carson Flores smiled lightly and cupped his hands, "White Crane Immortal Sect, Carson Flores."
Braden James’s expression darkened instantly. Not only him, but Nathanael Hinton and his party all shifted their gazes to Carson Flores, their eyes suddenly laced with hostility.
"You are Bank Austin’s disciple, Carson Flores?"
Carson Flores smiled faintly, "Indeed, it is I."
Braden James’s face grew even gloomier, "You certainly have quite the audacity. The unresolved matter from the Full Moon Illusionary Realm hasn’t been settled with you yet, and you still dare to interfere here..."
Carson Flores smiled and said, "What a coincidence. I came to the Valley of Myriad Medicines to purchase some Immortal Elixirs, and stumbled upon this affair."
Braden James’s gaze flicked to Selah Ellison Fairy standing nearby, as he sneered coldly, "So, you’re thinking about protecting the Valley of Myriad Medicines?"
Carson Flores nodded easily, "If the valley is annihilated, where would I buy Immortal Elixirs? How about I play the mediator—both sides take a step back, and we resolve this peacefully?"
The middle-aged woman beside Braden James glared fiercely at Carson Flores, "With just you, an Early Human Immortal, what qualifications do you have to mediate? Do you really think you’re worthy?"
Carson Flores chuckled, "Mediation is merely reasoning things out. What’s the matter? Does mediation have to rely on the size of one’s fists?"
The middle-aged woman snarled, "Keep your nose out of this! If you dare side with the Valley of Myriad Medicines, we’ll settle both our past and present grievances right here. Don’t think we’ll spare you just because you’re Bank Austin’s disciple!"
Carson Flores smirked, "Kill me? Go ahead, try. Let’s see who dies first."
Nathanael Hinton furrowed his brows. Carson Flores’s reputation for swiftly killing Angelina Newman, a Peak True Immortal of Supreme Heaven Sect, was well-known. Seeing Carson now, so confident and domineering, made them feel somewhat apprehensive.
Nearby, the disciples of the Valley of Myriad Medicines widened their eyes, admiration and reverence evident in their gazes.
It seemed that the disciple of a superpowerful figure certainly spoke with boldness!
Even if the strength wasn’t exceptional, that attitude was unmistakably formidable!
Nathanael Hinton fixed his gaze on Gideon Campbell, "Gideon Campbell, are you refusing to compensate then? Are you pinning your hopes on the White Crane Immortal Sect here?"
Gideon Campbell gritted his teeth before responding, "I am willing to make some reparations, but the demands you have outlined are impossible for us to meet!"
Gideon Campbell’s words were a veiled concession—a willingness to compensate, so long as they didn’t make excessive demands. The Valley of Myriad Medicines could handle reasonable reparations.
Nathanael Hinton replied coldly, "The calculations were made, and these items are well within your ability to provide!"
Gideon Campbell protested angrily, "Your demands strip the Valley of Myriad Medicines to its very roots. If we give you everything, we’ll be left with nothing, incapable of growing ever again!"
Nathanael Hinton sneered, "At least you’ll still have your lives!"
Carson Flores interjected lazily from the side, "Nathanael Hinton, is it? I’d like to have the Green Lotus Fire Spring myself, but unfortunately, it’s not something we can simply hand over..."
