Chapter 1412: Chapter 1412: A Major Giveaway During the Garden Event?

Carson Flores’s vision blurred, and his body suddenly lost its weight, sinking downward.

Instinctively stabilizing himself, he floated midair, looking around to find that he was actually at the edge of an island.

The small island wasn’t too spacious, perhaps spanning just about five or six miles. Numerous disciples were stationed at all sorts of challenge checkpoints, waiting for participants.

Eastflow Ancestor hovered in the air, smiled and said, "This island has a variety of challenge checkpoints that don’t just test strength, but also depend on wisdom, insight, and talent. Everyone can participate in any of the challenges, and successful completion will yield a prize."

"Once you’ve participated in a challenge, you can’t repeat it, but you are free to challenge any other. If too many people choose the same one, you’ll have to queue up. Once all the prizes for a checkpoint are awarded, it will be closed. The final challenge will be personally overseen by me; I’ll be waiting at the center of the island for you all."

"I wish everyone a fun and fruitful experience."

After Eastflow Ancestor finished speaking, he clasped his hands in greeting to everyone, then flew toward the center of the island.

With prospects of gain at hand, no one dawdled, and the crowd quickly scattered, running towards various challenge checkpoints.

Carson Flores swept his gaze across, his expression somewhat amused.

Jenga, Blind Drawing, Horseshoes, Blind Man’s Drum... Aren’t these activities commonly found in amusement park events? Are they popular in the Immortal Realm too?

For Immortals, isn’t it all just child’s play?

However, when everyone actually started to play, they realized it wasn’t so simple.

The Jenga blocks had a Gravity Spell attached; removing one from below would cause the rest to collapse immediately. The area for Blind Drawing had a Sensory Confusion Formation, causing participants to lose their sense of direction shortly after starting, let alone produce a normal drawing; the horseshoe throwing had fragile pots with spells on them—throw too softly, and they would be repelled, but throw too hard, and the pots would crack...

Just as Eastflow Ancestor said, playing these games didn’t depend much on strength. Instead, carefulness, calculation, talent, and even a bit of luck were far more crucial.

Carson knew the tricks of these games well. Despite the Spell disturbances, he achieved a high success rate.

By the time everyone had figured out the tricks to the challenges and all the prizes had been claimed, Carson had smoothly passed six game checkpoints and obtained six prizes.

These prizes were all wrapped up, like mystery boxes; no one knew what was inside until they were opened.

Carson hadn’t wasted a single minute, not even opening the mystery boxes. He pocketed the prizes into his Space Ring and immediately ran toward the next game checkpoint.

Every participant was bubbling with excitement. Although the games were somewhat childish, the added difficulty meant they were still engaging without feeling embarrassing, and besides, it was all for the sake of winning prizes. How could the simplicity of the games matter? As long as there were prizes to be won, even Rock-Paper-Scissors would suffice.

"The Ancestor has put some thought into these games; giving out so many prizes must have cost a fortune!"

"Eastflow Ancestor is so generous; everyone should have some gains. This trip is turning out to be a real freebie feast!"

"What the Ancestor wants is a good atmosphere. For a birthday celebration, it’s all about having a good time. With his status and strength, he might not even care for the gifts we bring..."

"Ah, my luck is just terrible. I only managed one checkpoint. I see some have conquered quite a few."

"Hehe, I passed two checkpoints, not great, but not bad either."

The crowd chatted excitedly, heading towards the center of the island.

Isn’t there a final challenge to come?

Eastflow Ancestor will host it personally, and surely the prize for this last challenge won’t be something simple.

Everyone’s heart was filled with anticipation, hoping to be the one to clear the final challenge, snag the ultimate prize, and most importantly, to shine in front of so many peers.

Who wouldn’t want to show off in front of so many fellow practitioners?

Eastflow Ancestor sat cross-legged in the center of the island, watching everyone arrive, and smiled, "It looks like everyone has reaped quite a bounty."

Someone laughed and said, "It’s all thanks to your generosity, Ancestor."

Eastflow Ancestor chuckled and replied, "At my age, what more desires could I have? I can’t break through any further, so I might as well enjoy the rest of my days, happy and content. These things are of little use to me, but perhaps they can be of some use to all of you."

"What a magnanimous Ancestor!"

"Thank you, Eastflow Ancestor!"

Of course, the guests were full of praise. After all, how could they be stingy with compliments when the Ancestor had offered so many precious gifts?

It’s a birthday celebration; a few kind words to make the birthday person happy – everyone wins!

"Ancestor, what exactly is the final challenge?"

"Yeah, do tell."

Eastflow Ancestor laughed heartily: "It seems everyone is eager. Very well, I won’t delay further and will explain the contents of the final challenge."

With a wave of his hand, Eastflow Ancestor sent out twelve Array Flags, which flew out and planted themselves around the center of the island, forming a circle and enclosing everyone within.

Eastflow Ancestor smiled and explained, "This consists of two Formations. One is called the Extinct Spirit Formation, which upon activation, will extract the Immortal Spirit Qi within. The other is called the Gravity Formation, which increases gravity exponentially once activated..."
