Carson Flores walked into the ward carrying the packed meals.

Ye Wen was leaning on the hospital bed looking at her phone, while Samantha Tate slept soundly on the caregiver’s bed, having not gotten much sleep last night as she kept company.

"Brother Carson..."

Ye Wen called out softly with a slightly red face, her eyes filled with gratitude and a touch of embarrassment.

When she had jumped from the building yesterday, she had seen with her own eyes how Carson Flores rushed forward, ascending like a superhero, stepping on a bicycle to surge upward and caught her in his arms, even cupping her chest in the process.

Ye Wen answered with gratitude, "I just broke my left arm, nothing serious. Brother Carson, I don’t know how to thank you. If it weren’t for you, I would probably be in the morgue or at a funeral home..."

Carson Flores replied with a smile, "You’re not an outsider, no need to be polite... How long has she been asleep?"

Before Ye Wen could answer, perhaps hearing the conversation, Samantha Tate opened her eyes drowsily. Her face brightened, and she sat up in bed, "Brother, you’re here!"

Samantha Tate was amused by Carson’s words. She took her bag to the restroom to freshen up and touched up her makeup before coming out.

Samantha Tate sat beside Carson Flores, picked up her bowl, and asked, "Don’t you need to go to work?"

"How long do you need to stay in the hospital? What did the doctor say?"

Samantha Tate replied, "It’s not serious. I’ll have another basic check-up this afternoon, and then I can go home to recuperate. I just need to come back regularly for dressing changes."

Carson Flores smiled and said, "That’s great news."

After a pause, Carson Flores asked, "What do you plan to do about Uriah Reid?"

Ye Wen gritted her teeth, "Break up. I’ll stay in a hotel for now and find a new place to live on my own later."

Samantha Tate guaranteed confidently, "I’ll help you find a place. Ruby Gross’s family is in the business of dealing with second-hand properties and rentals. Finding a good place will be a breeze. You can rent somewhere near my house, and we can hang out for meals or go shopping whenever."

Ye Wen nodded, "Thanks, Samantha."

Samantha Tate smiled and said, "It’s just a phone call away, no trouble at all. But are you just going to let Uriah Reid get away with making you jump off a building?"

Ye Wen replied with a wry smile, "I’d love to beat him up to vent my anger, but Uriah Reid comes from a well-off family, and there’s also Ronin Woolery of the Woolery Family, both untouchable. I’ll just keep my distance; that’s enough."

Samantha Tate fell silent for a moment. Uriah Reid was one thing, but the Woolery Family was a tough nut to crack, and she knew it all too well.
