Chapter 1338: Chapter 1338: Black Holy Grail, Origin of the Graveyard

"There’s something up ahead."

Carson’s spirit was invigorated—could it be that today he would unveil the truth of the Eternal Tombfield, one of The Six Forbidden Lands of the Wilderness?

After flying tens of miles more, Carson slowed down.

He felt it too.

A strong sinister aura, like a bone-chilling cold wind, made one’s entire body feel frosty as if standing within an icy cave.

The black fog here was incredibly thick, and without Delarosa’s guidance, Carson, despite being as powerful as a Demi Immortal, would’ve been as blind as a bat here, seeing nothing at all.

Continuing forward, the aura became increasingly intense.

Carson’s heartbeat grew more furious as he drew near, feeling cold all over, as if thousands of ants were crawling on him, giving him an instinctive urge to turn tail and run.

"Delarosa, what is this? The aura is so heavy, I can barely withstand it..."

"Let’s get a bit closer and see."

Suddenly, golden light blossomed from the Ghost Tower, not spreading very far, just two or three meters, but enough to wrap Carson within it.

The piercing, chilling palpitations he felt were instantly alleviated, and the coldness in his body warmed, as if the Ghost Tower was a torch in the icy wasteland.

Dispelling the darkness, dispelling the cold.

Protected by the light of the Ghost Tower, Carson continued to move forward and finally arrived at the center of the source of all that sinister aura.

Before Carson was a cliff, with dense sinister aura and rolling black fog surging up from below it.

Carson followed the valley downwards, descending about four to five hundred meters, until he reached the bottom of the valley.

The golden light expanded once more, and Carson’s field of vision widened along with it.

After some searching, he finally found the source of the sinister aura and black fog.

A pitch-black cup.

It seemed to be made of some strange black metal and had been lying here for who knows how long, yet it was spotless and emitted a metallic luster which made it look very marketable.

The cup was engraved with various patterns, all shimmering with a white light.

The rim of the cup had a large chip, as if it had been smashed by something, and a thick black mist was continuously pouring out.

"Delarosa, this is a magical treasure, right? Just such a cup, yet it created an Extreme Land?"

"Let me take a look."

The Black Holy Grail on the ground floated up towards the Ghost Tower.

The Ghost Tower didn’t rush to "devour" it despite it being broken and damaged; it still continuously produced black fog, enlarging the Eternal Tombfield. The cup-shaped magical treasure clearly had an extraordinary origin.

Delarosa examined it for a while, confirmed that it was an inanimate object, unlike the Ghost Tower which had an Artifact Spirit, and then brought it into the tower.

As the broken Black Holy Grail was taken away, the intense sinister aura suddenly vanished without a trace, and Carson’s body immediately relaxed.

The previously dense and motionless fog all around now tumbled and gently rippled, as if it had suddenly become lighter.

Carson looked at the undulating fog, surprised, and said, "The cup is taken away, and the black fog of the Eternal Tombfield can be dispersed?"

"Let’s try and see."

Delarosa soared into the sky, then suspended in mid-air.

A wind suddenly picked up in the space previously shrouded by the black fog.

The wind grew stronger and wilder, and between heaven and earth, only the roaring sound of the hurricane was heard.

Wild winds swept up countless black fogs, stirring and spreading them across the sky, sweeping away into the distance.

The black fog between the heavens and the earth became less and less, thinner and thinner, and finally, when looking up, one could see a hazy daylight.

Within the roar of the wind, a huge commotion arose within the black fog of the Eternal Tombfield.

Giant beasts with huge bodies and tattered corpses appeared within the fog, emitting deep howls, running frantically, exuding an indescribable panic.

Carson floated in mid-air, watching the first rays of sunlight that fell through the clouds.

Such a perilous land was formed because of a tattered black cup.

What’s more important is that the cup just lay there so casually at the bottom of the valley, without any Formation, without any protection.

On second thought, with so many powerful living corpses of giant beasts, apart from an Immortal, who could get past their Defense and accurately locate the source of the black fog?

The truth is quite simple, but breaking the bond is very difficult.

"The Eternal Tombfield is no more."

Delarosa’s voice was clear: "Let’s go, see if there are any more powerful living corpses; I’ll capture a few more."

Carson flew towards the area where the giant beasts were active and asked at the same time, "Even you don’t know the origin of this cup?"

Delarosa laughed: "The Immortal Realm is vast, magical treasures are countless, who dares to claim knowledge of all magical treasures? However, it should be a soul-type magical treasure. Even broken, it possesses such power; before its breaking, its power should be even greater..."

Carson then remembered Mist Island in the Sea of Annihilation, and immediately said, "There’s an island in the Sea of Annihilation that’s also shrouded in fog and inhabited by similar giant beasts, but the fog there is grey, and the beasts are alive. Do you think there might be a connection?"
