Chapter 1203: Chapter 1203: Do You Want to Stop This War?
"Spiritual Medicine?"
Lilianna Norman looked at Carson Flores in surprise, "What Spiritual Medicine is worth you venturing deep into the Demon Nation, and even alone into the Demon Imperial City?"
Carson Flores replied, "Bodhi Blood. I heard that recently, someone presented this Spiritual Medicine as a gift to the Demon Emperor. I couldn’t find it anywhere in the Human Race lands, so I had no choice but to come here."
Lilianna Norman suddenly realized, "It’s very important?"
Carson Flores nodded, "Yes, it’s not only important to me but, strictly speaking, it’s crucial for both the Human and Demon Races."
Lilianna Norman asked in surprise, "Can you tell me about it?"
Carson Flores shook his head. Although the matters regarding the Immortals had been exposed, he could still keep it secret for a while longer, and during this time, secrecy was necessary.
"I can’t go into detail, but I expect you’ll know before long."
After a pause, Carson Flores chose to reveal some information, "An Immortal has appeared in the Barbaric Wilderness Realm. An opportunity to open the dimensional channel between the two realms is upon us, and what I’m doing now is for this cause. If successful, both Human and Demon Races will regain the path of ascension to Immortality."
Lilianna Norman’s eyes suddenly widened, shock written all over her beautiful face.
"An Immortal?"
Carson Flores nodded, "A few days ago, during the Human Race’s annual Spiritual Medicine remembrance meeting, many Cultivators witnessed an Incarnation of the Immortal’s Primordial Spirit descend to the Lower Realm..."
Lilianna Norman asked in shock, "What is an Immortal doing descending to the Lower Realm?"
Carson Flores smiled, "I don’t want to lie to you, but it’s a matter of great importance, so I must keep it confidential for the time being. In a short while, you’ll understand."
Lilianna Norman silently nodded, a vague guess forming in her mind. If the Incarnation of the Immortal’s Primordial Spirit had descended, it must be related to Carson Flores; otherwise, why would he be working so hard to reopen the pathway?
Lilianna Norman asked, "Will what you’re doing cause great harm to the Demon Race?"
Carson Flores shook his head, "If the passage opens, do you think only the Human Race will benefit?"
After a moment, Carson Flores smiled, "I know your Demon Race is preparing to launch a war against the Human Race, and I’m aware you have many Great Witches already. But if the war really breaks out, your side is doomed to defeat and will lead the Demon Race into disaster."
Lilianna Norman looked intently at Carson Flores, "Because of you?"
Carson Flores nodded, "Although I advocate for peace between our races, if the Demon Race initiates war and I happen to have the power to stop it, I will certainly not stand by idly."
Lilianna Norman asked, "You want to stop this war?"
Carson Flores smiled, "Don’t you wish to stop it as well?"
Having spent so much time with her, Carson Flores was acutely aware of the changes in Lilianna Norman’s beliefs. She longed for the future he described but felt it was unattainable, her heart torn with conflict.
Lilianna Norman pursed her lips, "Fine, I’ll help you get Bodhi Blood."
After a pause, Lilianna Norman said softly, "I hope you’re not deceiving me."
Carson Flores smiled slightly, his demeanor open, "What I tell you is the truth. I wouldn’t deceive you. If I withhold information, it’s only because the implications are too significant to reveal for now."
"Besides, my mother is still waiting to reunite with my father. If a real fight breaks out, how will they ever be together?"
Lilianna Norman smiled, letting go of the last of her wariness.
Indeed, the host body for the Demon Emperor’s Will was Carson Flores’s father. Even if the Demon Emperor’s Will had become dominant, it didn’t mean that Carson Flores’s father’s will had completely disappeared.
His love for his wife and son still existed.
Though Carson Flores intended to disrupt the war between the Demon and Human Races, he wouldn’t truly wish to kill the Demon Emperor.
"By the way, how is he now?"
Lilianna Norman replied, "They have merged perfectly. Generally, it is the Demon Emperor’s Will that is expressed, but when he faces me, and we talk about you, he shows your father’s side."
"Though the Demon Emperor’s Will is the dominant one, your father’s will still greatly influences him. Otherwise, the Demon Race Army would be fully committed to attacking and conquering territories, rather than dispatching a Vanguard to take over cities without harming the civilians..."
Princeton Pearson, standing as a guard at the entrance to the garden, widened his eyes in utter shock.
What had he heard?
The Demon Emperor was the Human Emperor’s father!
No, that’s not right!
The will of the Demon Emperor meant that the body merged with the Demon Emperor’s Will belonged to the father of the Human Emperor, but his father’s will hadn’t disappeared. It had fully integrated due to the Human Emperor’s father’s identity as a member of the Human Race, leading to this unprecedented approach in their plan.
What was this all about?
Fighting back and forth, all the same family?
A war between father and son?
Was there even a point in fighting?
Carson Flores didn’t mind Princeton Pearson overhearing this, for if he had any thoughts of betrayal, just being the Human Emperor was enough to make him sacrifice himself to report on Flores.
Letting him know that the Demon Emperor was his father would only make him give up completely.
Report?
To report the son to the father?
Would a father kill his son?
What would become of the reporter?
Carson Flores smiled, "No wonder, I was thinking why the Demon Race’s plan this time was so gentle. It turns out he played a part. By the way, what’s happening with the Demon Ancestor? Isn’t she taking over your body anymore?"
