Chapter 1175: Chapter 1175: If you don’t have the strength, don’t provoke those you can’t afford to offend!

"Divine Thunder Soul Wood, one hundred million Spirit Stones, Flawless Fruit, ten million each, I bought four, totaling a hundred and forty million."

Cristopher Hopkins Immortal said softly, "Thank you, after I resurrect, I will repay you."

Carson Flores laughed, "No worries, I’m just trying to ride on your coattails, so it’s only right that I make some contributions, just don’t kick me aside after you’re back."

Cristopher Hopkins Immortal was speechless for a moment; this guy’s way of talking was just so irreverent.

"Just kick! Especially in your face, kick you to death!"

Delaney Hunter stood by, dumbfounded. Did he always talk to an Immortal like this?

Was he always so casual?

Let alone those ordinary Cultivators, even the Immortal Slaves, in the presence of an Immortal, which of them wasn’t bowing and scraping in reverence?

Carson Flores dared to joke with an Immortal?

And Cristopher Hopkins Immortal did not mind his jokes at all and even responded like this?

As if they were close... friends?

Impressive!

Their relationship was indeed very good!

On second thought, it probably had to do with the person’s upbringing. If it were a Cultivator from the Barbaric Wilderness Realm, with historical discontinuities over tens of thousands of years, and uncertainty about the very existence of Immortals, suddenly meeting an Immortal, wouldn’t they be utterly respectful? Where would they have the nerve to act like this?

Upon reflection, Carson Flores, coming from the Mortal Realm, really was quite different from the Cultivators of the Barbaric Wilderness Realm.

To be specific, you couldn’t pinpoint exactly how he was different, but in dealing with him, you couldn’t help feeling he just wasn’t the same.

Being with him, you felt very comfortable.

Wasn’t she initially attracted to him for that very reason?

"If the refinement of the Great Land Cosmos Pill is successful, how long will you need to resurrect, and how much of your combat strength will you be able to recover?"

"About twenty percent."

Carson Flores had no idea how powerful her twenty percent was and asked after a moment of thought, "How would that twenty percent fare against that Primordial Spirit from the Lower Realm?"

Cristopher Hopkins Immortal answered, "If we were to fight head-on, I probably wouldn’t win, but she also couldn’t kill me. After all, I am an actual body, and she is merely a Primordial Spirit from the Lower Realm. Unless her real body descends, but I don’t think she would dare to."

Carson Flores asked curiously, "Why wouldn’t she dare?"

Cristopher Hopkins Immortal laughed, "From the Immortal Realm to the Barbarian Wilderness, it is actually much like from the Barbarian Wilderness to the Mortal Realm, where you can’t fully unleash your power. I can only exhibit twenty percent of my strength not just because my body is damaged but also because of this very reason."

"If she were to descend to the Lower Realm, her power would be suppressed to a very low level. Even though she might be somewhat stronger than me, it would not necessarily mean she could completely crush me. Most importantly, she would surely fear some of my techniques, the kind that could trap her permanently in the Barbarian Wilderness."

"She definitely won’t descend herself. A person like her would not take such a risk. At most, she would send her Primordial Spirit to the Lower Realm or send other Immortals down to kill me. After all, it’s about saving one’s own skin, not a friend’s."

Carson Flores’s eyes lit up, "So, doesn’t that mean that once you’re resurrected, you’ll essentially rule the Barbarian Wilderness?"

Cristopher Hopkins replied, "With my twenty percent strength, ruling over the Barbarian Wilderness Realm certainly wouldn’t be an issue, but that’s only if that woman doesn’t learn of it. Otherwise, she would send her Primordial Spirit or other Immortals down to kill me, which would be something the Cultivators of the Barbarian Wilderness could not compare with."

Carson Flores laughed, "We’ll just keep it secret, considering how Immortals’ days fly by. They might take a nap, and several years will have passed. By then, you might have already resurrected and returned to the Immortal Realm."

Cristopher Hopkins Immortal chuckled, "I hope so. Right now, her Immortal Slaves are probably scouring the world for me."

Carson Flores was about to speak when Cristopher Hopkins suddenly said, "Someone is coming."

Who’s coming?

Carson Flores was slightly puzzled. He and Delaney Hunter stepped out of the pavilion and then saw three people descending from the sky, the leader being the haughty man from the auction house who had bid against him.

Carson Flores instantly understood; this was someone who couldn’t outbid him and was now looking to settle the score privately.

The haughty man landed and, looking coldly at Carson Flores, said, "Kid, do you know why I’m here?"

Carson Flores raised an eyebrow, "Feeling like you’ve lost face at the auction, so you came to find me and vent your anger by beating me up? Or else you’re planning to force a sale, and make me hand over the Divine Thunder Soul Wood?"

The haughty man sneered, "If you know what’s good for you, hand over the Divine Thunder Soul Wood, and I won’t take it for nothing—I’ll give you fifty-five million Spirit Stones!"

Carson Flores blinked, "I spent a hundred and five million on it. You’re offering me fifty-five million, so wouldn’t I be losing out?"

The haughty man sneered, "I would have gotten it for fifty-five million if not for you showing off and attracting bad luck. Giving you fifty-five million is already a kindness on my part."

Carson Flores laughed, "So, I’d just lose out?"

The haughty man said haughtily, "Consider it a lesson. If you don’t have the strength, don’t offend people you can’t afford to offend."

Carson Flores nodded, then countered, "After all this talk, at least give me a name, how else would I know if you’re someone I can afford to offend or not?"
