Chapter 1144: Chapter 1144: The Corpse Can Revive, That’s Outrageous!

"Can help with cultivation?"

"Good!"

"It wasn’t in vain that I almost froze into an icicle and was nearly smashed to pulp by several giant beasts!"

"Let’s go."

Carson Flores flew all the way and finally arrived at Linzhou City in the Central Divine Continent. Traveling a thousand miles northward, following the map, he located the mysterious valley Kash Lam had mentioned.

Carson Flores sent a message to Kash Lam.

"I’m here, are you still around?"

Kash Lam replied promptly, "Still here, where are you? I’ll send someone to fetch you."

Carson Flores shared his location, and before long, a middle-aged man appeared.

"Mr. Flores, I am Jayson Lam, Kash Lam’s Uncle. Please follow me."

Carson Flores felt slightly puzzled about why Kash Lam’s Uncle had come to meet him rather than Kash Lam himself.

"Alright, thank you!"

Jayson Lam led Carson Flores on. Carson noticed that the man seemed to intentionally avoid the graveyards inside the valley, always keeping to the edge while flying.

Soon, the two reached a camp. Following Jayson Lam into a tent, Carson saw Kash Lam.

Carson immediately understood why the guy hadn’t come to meet him; it wasn’t that he wouldn’t, but that he simply couldn’t.

Kash Lam lay in a bed, his body covered with wounds, bloodied and looking utterly miserable.

Kash Lam, pale and looking weak, said, "Brother, I nearly died, what a joke this must seem to you..."

Carson Flores frowned and asked, "Who did this?"

Kash Lam gave a wry smile, "A corpse. Something fishy is going on in this valley. The bodies buried underground haven’t decayed at all; they can even spring up and attack people. Can you believe such an outrageous thing?"

Carson’s eyes widened, "Corpses coming back to life?"

Before Kash Lam could respond, Carson waved his hand, "Never mind that for now, you look too pitiful. Let me help treat you..."

Carson turned to Jayson Lam and asked, "Mr. Lam, could you give us a moment alone, please?"

Jayson Lam nodded, "Sure, I’ll be outside. Call me if you need anything."

Kash Lam looked at Carson with hopeful eyes, "What are you going to do?"

Carson smiled, "Close your eyes."

Kash obeyed, closing his eyes and saying, "If it’s any trouble, don’t bother with it. This injury looks bad, but it won’t kill me. After a couple of months, I’ll be back to my lively self..."

"Shut up, will you."

Carson took out the Life Essence Pearl and placed it on Kash’s chest, beginning to infuse Spiritual Energy into it.

The Spiritual Energy quickly transformed into a rich vitality that flowed into Kash’s body. His horrific wounds began to heal rapidly, soon scabbing over and flaking away.

A few minutes later, Carson put away the Life Essence Pearl and patted Kash’s arm.

"All set, no more lying around. Get up and tell me what happened?"

Kash opened his eyes and saw his previously gaping chest wound completely healed. His eyes showed stunned disbelief.

"Damn, what did you do to me? Was that some kind of sorcery?"

Carson laughed, "Just a little trick, nothing to speak of."

Kash stood up from the bed, moved his arms around, and then tore off the bandages on his body. Seeing the wounds that had fully scabbed over, Kash was awestruck.

"Impressive! That was amazing! With such a technique, who would fear injury? I could beat them to death!"

Carson said with a smile, "It’s only for healing wounds. You will still need to rest and regain your strength."

Kash looked at Carson with admiration, "Worthy of the Human Emperor, such incredible skill."

This had nothing to do with the Human Emperor.

Carson muttered to himself and waved it off, "Okay, enough flattery. Tell me, what happened? Weren’t you guys here for the Spectral Elemental Fire? How did you get involved with a corpse?"

Kash sighed, "The Spectral Elemental Fire is indeed here. It has appeared a few times recently, but it has basic sentience, knows how to hide, and knows how to fight. To capture it, we tried everything, but failed. Two of our people even got burnt to death by it."

"I’m a Fire Spirit Body, naturally sensitive to fire, so it can’t do anything to me."

"When it had no place to escape, it darted into those graves, and then something bizarre happened—the graves burst open, and a green-clad elder, like a zombie, came charging out and attacked me."

"I was pursuing the Spectral Elemental Fire; I had no idea something so strange would happen, and that elder was terrifyingly strong, at least at the Mid-Stage of the Hollow Void, or perhaps even later stages. He nearly killed me on the spot with just one move."

"The corpses in the graves came back to life?"

Carson was very curious; indeed, such extraordinary events were unbelievable even to hear about.

"What happened after that?"

Kash replied, "The Clan Leader and other elders came to my aid immediately, and that’s how I avoided being torn apart by that corpse. After being besieged by us, the corpse was shattered."

Carson pressed on, "And the Spectral Elemental Fire?"

Kash looked frustrated, "Don’t know; it must have hidden away. We’ll have to wait for it to show up again."

The Spectral Elemental Fire could actually revive the dead and enable them to fight?

Interesting!

Suddenly, Carson found himself intrigued by this Spectral Elemental Fire.
