Chapter 1132: Chapter 1132: Your news is outdated

"Sea of Annihilation," the name’s quite fitting. This place really feels annihilated..."

Carson Flores floated in mid-air, sizing up the sea below.

The Sea of Annihilation was located in the northern region of Wuzhou, a supermassive inland sea connected to the Polar Ice Sea in the north by a narrow strait.

The waters of the Sea of Annihilation were as dark as ink, oppressively black, and due to being an inland sea, the surface was eerily calm, emanating a breath of death.

Grey mist hovered over the Sea of Annihilation, staying low, concealing the entirety of the sea and its many islands.

Regarded as a forbidden place, the Sea of Annihilation was rumored to be thousands of meters deep at its darkest depths, home to many super fierce giant beasts said to be Demonic Beasts that survived from ancient times. Furthermore, the numerous islands contained unknown dangers, causing countless adventurers to venture in but never to return.

Carson took out the map his master had drawn him and after glancing over it, continued to fly forward.

With the guidance of the map, Carson did not need to explore every island individually and quickly located the circular-shaped island.

It was on this island where the Mystical Tortoise Scale Tree was found, guarded by Immortal Slaves, the same that had previously injured his master, nearly costing his master’s life.

Carson floated in mid-air, looking down at the small island, "Fairy, this island isn’t large and doesn’t seem to hide anything secretive. Perhaps your body isn’t here, and it may only be inhabited by Immortal Slaves guarding those Mystical Tortoise Scale Trees..."

Cristopher Hopkins Immortal replied with calm, "No matter, we’ll capture an Immortal Slave and interrogate them to find out."

"Alright, let’s go down, but let’s not rush to take action. I’ll try a trick first, to probe for information!"

Carson decreased his altitude, the island’s scenery rapidly expanding before him, and a wooden hut came into his view.

This was the dwelling of the Immortal Slave mentioned by Daxton Campbell.

Carson’s eyes moved quickly and he soon spotted the Mystical Tortoise Scale Tree not far from the hut.

The Mystical Tortoise Scale Tree had an unusual shape, a stout trunk with bark resembling a tortoise shell, each piece of bark layered like black fish or snake scales. The top resembled a coconut tree, with crimson branches sprouting out, and a heavy fruit hanging at the end of each branch.

The Mystical Tortoise Scale Fruit!

There was a large number of Mystical Tortoise Scale Trees, but not many had fruits hanging on them.

Daxton had counted, a total of seven fruit-bearing branches, and after ripening one, there should be six left.

Carson had just landed when a piercing gleam of knife light suddenly shot out from the house, sweeping across hundreds of meters toward him.

With a step, Carson vanished on the spot.

The knife light slashed emptily through thin air.

A man in white with his hair tied up emerged from the hut, his sleeves fluttering, a gleaming knife floating in front of him.

His speed was astonishingly fast, like a fleeting shadow, and in the blink of an eye, he faced Carson.

He appeared to be in his forties, his gaze sharp and cold, and without any intention of conversing, he cast a spell upon his knife, causing it to burst with light, ready to launch an attack.

Carson called out, "Are you the Immortal Slave tasked with overseeing this place?"

The descending blade halted abruptly, and the man coldly fixed his gaze on Carson, "Who are you?"

Carson chuckled, "Your attitude could use some work."

The man spoke gravely, "Enough talk, answer the question or die!"

Carson blinked, increasingly arrogant, "Surely, you’re not the only Immortal Slave in the entire Sea of Annihilation. Gather the others, I have something important to declare, regarding the transfer of the bodies you Immortals are guarding."

The man’s expression suddenly altered, "Who exactly are you, and how do you know these things?"

Upon hearing this, Carson’s heart steadied.

This place indeed imprisoned part of the Fairy’s body, his trip here was not in vain!

His initial intent was simply to play a trick and confirm the presence of Cristopher Hopkins Immortal’s body here, but seeing the man’s reaction, he had a sudden change of heart and continued the bluff.

"Some are helping Cristopher Hopkins fight to reclaim her body, aiding her resurrection. Currently, two parts of Cristopher Hopkins’s suppressed body have been stolen, and soon it’s going to be this place’s turn."

The man’s face turned pale, "Impossible! These protective wards were personally set by our superior, no one in the Barbarian Wilderness Realm could possibly break them!"

Carson sighed, "You’ve been guarding this place for tens of thousands of years, you’ve never left the Sea of Annihilation, your information is outdated."

The puzzled look in the man’s eyes grew, "What do you mean?"

Carson looked at the man with pity, as if lamenting his ignorance, and started to fabricate a story, "The Valley of Death has been razed by a union of Cultivators. Indeed, they had no means against the Formation suppressing Cristopher Hopkins, but a mysterious person appeared, breached the Formation, and freed Cristopher Hopkins’s arm."

"The Primordial Spirit Projection within Cristopher Hopkins’s arm has revealed the truth behind her suppression, the entire Cultivation community of the Barbarian Wilderness Realm is helping her find her body to aid in her resurrection. Because only through her resurrection, can the Sky-reaching Formation be rebuilt, a passage between the Barbarian Wilderness and Immortal Realm established, allowing all to Ascend as Immortals..."
