Chapter 1083: Chapter 1083: Do You Have a Day to Beg for Mercy?

He’s coming!

Watching Bentley Frost rapidly approaching, Carson Flores raced thoughts through his mind.

Engage and intercept?

Carson believed that if the three of them took action, especially with Jorge Gross’s World Within the Bowl, just a cover and Bentley Frost would be done for, without a doubt.

However, if Bentley Frost was finished, it would only result in him being captured by those people following behind, and they themselves would gain no advantage at all.

Why not take a gamble?

In the blink of an eye, Bentley Frost arrived, sweeping across the mountaintops at low altitude.

"Death Imprint!"

Carson clasped his hands in a seal and pulled towards Bentley Frost in the sky.

Bentley Frost was fleeing in great panic and hadn’t anticipated someone hiding in the forest below, especially since his perception indicated no danger below.

The Death Imprint landed directly on Bentley Frost, who was startled. What on earth?

Who cast a spell on me?

Bentley Frost didn’t dare to stop; he shot over the mountaintop like a cannonball, disappearing into the distance, with the pursuers thunderously flying after him.

Kellan Gentry transmitted a message asking, "What did you do?"

Carson answered, "I slapped a Death Imprint on him. This mark not only conceals a person’s aura but also possesses tracking capabilities for a short duration."

Kellan’s eyes lit up, "If he escapes, can we still catch up to him?"

"Yes, that’s what I was thinking. If they catch or kill him, we lose nothing."

Kellan chuckled, "Then I should really wish him luck in his escape."

The three of them waited quietly until all the people who needed to leave had gone. Carson pulled out the Windroll Banner, tucked the two of them away, and then slipped out noiselessly, tracing the distant sensation of the chase.

In a secluded crevice of a mountain, Bentley Frost was gasping for air.

His body was covered in injuries, his clothes soaked in blood, and he was missing a foot, but in his eyes flashed a near-mad sense of triumph.

I’ve escaped!

Against such an encirclement of Hollow Void Practitioners, I’ve broken out alone!

What can you do to me?

What seemed strange to Bentley Frost was that in two instances, despite how close he was to them, he could’ve been detected, yet they didn’t sense him, as if they were blind.

Just like now, hiding in this fissure within the mountain, people occasionally flew by, divine senses swept over, but it was as though they completely failed to find him.

This puzzled Bentley greatly, but with serious injuries, he naturally wouldn’t risk death.

If they can’t find me, then I’ll just stay hidden.

You can’t possibly search here forever; you’ll have to leave eventually!

Bentley waited like this for five days.

By the end of the second day, the search had stopped, but being extremely cautious, Bentley stayed hidden for another three days.

One has only one life, burdened with severe injuries; one can’t be too careful.

In those five days, Bentley stabilized his injuries. Despite losing a foot, he had finally escaped.

How his whereabouts were exposed, Bentley couldn’t be bothered to investigate. Now, all he wanted was to head straight to Mystical Immortal Island, to enter it!

After all, once inside Mystical Immortal Island, either become an Immortal or come out greatly strengthened and with potential memory loss, who knows how long I’ll forget?

It’s not important anymore!

Right now, just head to Mystical Immortal Island, maybe the Immortal there has a way to regenerate my severed limb?

Bentley cautiously flew out from his mountain crevice hideout, looked around, and just as he exhaled in relief, a sudden sense of alarm surged within him.

He spun around, his pupils constricting sharply.

On the cliff above, three figures stood side by side, staring down at him with smug smiles.

Kellan Gentry!

Jorge Gross!

And that elusive kid!

Cold sweat broke out on Bentley Frost—how were they here?

How could they hide so close to him, and he was completely unaware?

As Bentley turned to run, Jorge’s hand flipped his ceramic bowl, and a vast light shield instantly enveloped the area, trapping Bentley within.

"Where do you think you’re going? You might as well stay!"

Despair took hold of Bentley, who turned and offered, "I’ll give you the Mystical Immortal Token and all my valuables, just let me go, how about it?"

Kellan Gentry laughed heartily, "Bentley Frost, you’re begging for mercy? That’s not like you at all."

Bentley asked resentfully, "How did you find me?"

Kellan felt incredibly satisfied, after all, seeing Bentley in despair was truly delightful.

"Ha-ha, you truly are formidable!"

Kellan raised his thumb in admiration, "Surrounded by the Central Divine Continent Alliance, you managed to break free; that strength and courage are extraordinary. But you didn’t think you were just that lucky to evade so many searches, did you?"

Bentley’s eyes widened, "You did something?"

Kellan laughed loudly, "What else? If we hadn’t helped you, you would have been captured by them and flayed alive by now, how else could you have peacefully hidden here to heal..."

Bentley clenched his teeth in frustration and said, "The mantis stalks the cicada, unaware of the oriole behind. You’ve been skulking in the shadows, waiting for your chance?"
