Chapter 1070: Chapter 1070: Whether to Kill You or Not, He Decides
Carson Flores was not without gain; he thoroughly comprehended the Heaven Scroll and, understanding it, found communicating with the Emperor Seal much easier and more intimate.
Perhaps seeing his aptitude, the Emperor Seal trembled lightly once again and a beam of light entered Carson’s Sea of Consciousness, imparting to him a spell for control.
"Collect!"
As Carson cast the spell, the Emperor Seal instantly shrank to the size of a needle and disappeared into his glabella, directly floating in the center of his Sea of Consciousness.
Carson was overjoyed. It was truly magical!
It was said that only Spiritual Treasures capable of changing size and shape at will and refined into Life-bound Magic Treasures could be kept within a cultivator’s Sea of Consciousness, and above Spiritual Treasures were said to be Innate Spiritual Treasures. No one knew the origin of the Emperor Seal—could it be an Innate Spiritual Treasure?
Carson still had dozens of spirit luminaries, but being in an inn, it obviously wasn’t a good time for cultivation.
Three days passed in a flash, and the trio arrived at the estate of Douglas Meyers.
"Your armor is fixed."
Douglas Meyers tossed over Kellan’s armor, saying indifferently, "We’re even now."
Kellan, in front of Douglas, donned the armor. Spiritual energy surged, and Runes glowed and revolved. The previously shattered and dim areas had once again become smooth.
Kellan laughed heartily, "The master indeed is a master, such high skills!"
Douglas replied coolly, "Take care, I won’t see you out."
But Kellan did not leave, laughing, he said, "Master Douglas, don’t rush, my young friend here has a few questions for you... "
Douglas’s gaze fell on Carson, saying lightly, "What do you want to ask?"
Carson smiled, "I just wanted to ask, Master Douglas, are you practicing the Path of Refinement?"
Douglas’s pupils constricted suddenly, and involuntarily his complexion changed. "I practice Artifact Refining, I don’t know what you’re talking about... "
Carson calmly said, "Five hundred young girls, refined into Blood Beads, their souls imprisoned; this is not a common Cultivation Technique. Which Sect stands behind you? The once-renowned Ten Thousand Ghosts Sect?"
Douglas’s expression turned cold, "I don’t know what you’re talking about. Our transaction is over, you may leave!"
Carson coldly said, "Since you didn’t deny it, it seems that what Larry Stein said is true. Five hundred young girls turned into Blood Beads; are you using them for Artifact Refining, or consuming them to enhance your strength?"
Douglas no longer deigned to respond to Carson and turned to leave.
Carson shouted lowly, "Stop him!"
Jorge’s hand flipped, and a porcelain bowl appeared in his grasp. As the spell was cast, the bowl glowed and inverted, instantly enveloping the entire room in a light shield.
Douglas’s face underwent a drastic change. He turned his head and glared coldly at Kellan, "What, you want to fight? This is inside the Heaven Yuan City. Let’s not discuss whether you can kill me or not; as soon as the fight starts, the City Lord and several Deputy City Lords would arrive. You’re a wanted Bandit King; are you ready to be captured by them and have your soul shattered to pieces?"
Kellan laughed loudly, "If it comes to that, I’ll just fight my way out again. It’s just a few Hollow Void experts; I even fought my way out of the Demon Emperor’s Palace; why would I care about Heaven Yuan City?"
Jorge sternly said, "Just answer our questions honestly, and we might let you go."
Douglas scoffed, "Save your pathetic trick for deceiving children. I’m rather curious; the notoriously feared bandit Vajra Bandits King suddenly dressing up as a righteous defender of morality today?"
Kellan laughed, "I’m not that kind-hearted. There’s too much cannibalism in this world—I can’t manage that much..."
Douglas coldly said, "So what are you doing now? They’re just the lives of a few hundred ordinary people, mere ants. If they die, they die; what is there to care about? Or are you planning to blackmail me?"
Kellan shook his head, "Whether or not to kill you, I don’t get a say; he does."
Douglas, surprised, turned to Carson, "Boy, who are you?"
Carson hesitated for a moment, then said sternly, "Kellan, quickly take him down; we’re leaving the city!"
"Alright!"
Kellan did not waste words, his body pulsing with Spiritual Energy, as he charged into the light shield toward Douglas.
Douglas shouted angrily, as a bell flew out, wrapped in a blood-red glow. Before the bell even rang, Carson heard the piercing cries of countless young girls overlapping, as if hell on earth, causing the hairs on one’s back to stand upright just by listening.
"Ding-dong, ding-dong..."
The bell swayed, the ghostly wails screeching like Demonic Sounds inundating the mind, making it feel as if countless needles were stabbing inside one’s head, the pain enough to make one doubt life itself.
A sonic magical treasure!
Carson, enduring the headache, had the Emperor Seal fly out from his glabella, lightly trembling in midair.
"Ding!"
The ferocious ghosts let out a synchronized and massive scream, their power instantly converging. It was like the mountain patrolling lesser demons suddenly encountering their lord on a journey, instantly going from arrogance to orderliness.
Kellan did not care for any fair fight principles of one-on-one or two-on-two. He threw a punch directly at Douglas.
"Be sensible, or Larry Stein’s fate will be yours!"
