Chapter 1047: Chapter 1047: Men Die for Wealth, Birds Die for Food

Kellan Gentry suddenly spoke, "Ordinary people seek the Mystical Immortal Token in vain, and Thunderous Mountain has obtained it, shouldn’t they secretly enter the island? Why are they preparing to sell it? This is illogical."

Bentley Frost explained, "Their Sect has recently encountered difficulties, planning to exchange the Mystical Immortal Token for enough benefits to tide over the crisis. While the Mystical Immortal Token is valuable, throughout history, it seems only one person has become an Immortal, and although others have significantly increased their strengths after leaving, such improvement is limited in helping a Sect."

"Everyone, of course, wants a good thing, but the Mystical Immortal Token only allows one person on the island. If it’s exchanged for resources or conditions that benefit the entire Sect, it’s actually not a loss."

Deacon Wolf blinked and suddenly smiled, "You make sense. With so many strong individuals in the Sect and only one Immortal Token, it’s a problem deciding who should go. It’s better to sell it and benefit everyone, without any hard feelings."

Bentley Frost laughed, "Unequal distribution brings more grievances than scarcity, it has always been so since ancient times."

Deacon Wolf looked at the silent Kellan Gentry and laughed, "But for our three groups, there is only one Immortal Token. How shall we divide it?"

Bentley Frost laughed, "I found out about this, and I planned the scheme. Naturally, the Immortal Token should be mine. However, I’ll take only the Immortal Token and give everything else to you. I want nothing else—how does that sound?"

Deacon Wolf furrowed his brow, "But the other items might not be comparable to the Immortal Token..."

Bentley Frost, smiling slyly, said, "I told you, I’m the initiator, so I should get some advantage. Actually, I could have kept this to myself and quietly obtained it, but I think it’s not fair. To clear things up first prevents chaos later; don’t you agree?"

Kellan Gentry was silent for a few seconds before asking, "Who is representing Thunderous Mountain?"

Bentley Frost smiled, "Your old friend, Boone Browning."

Kellan Gentry’s eyes suddenly emitted intense murderous intent, and he decisively said, "If you all help me kill Boone Browning, I don’t want the Immortal Token."

Bentley Frost laughed, "Don’t worry, the Mystical Immortal Token is exactly in Boone Browning’s possession. If we don’t kill him, how can we get the Mystical Immortal Token? So, for you and for us, we must go all out to kill Boone Browning. If Boone Browning escapes, our operation will have failed!"

Kellan Gentry turned to Jorge Gross, who nodded silently.

"Fine, I accept your conditions. As long as Boone Browning dies, I don’t want the Mystical Immortal Token."

"It’s a deal!"

Bentley Frost turned to Deacon Wolf, "King Duncan has agreed. Now, what do you say?"

The light flickered in Deacon Wolf’s eyes, obviously reluctant, but he also understood that if he refused, the whole plan would fall apart, and he would end up with nothing.

With just the Skeleton Bandit Group, they had no way to defeat the people from Thunderous Mountain; Boone Browning alone was enough trouble.

"Once you have the Immortal Token, what do you plan to do with it?"

Bentley Frost laughed, "Naturally, I will go to the island to have a look. What if there is a fairy on the island?"

Deacon Wolf thought for a moment, "Fine, I won’t compete with you for the Mystical Immortal Token. But if you return from Mystical Immortal Island, whatever you acquire, I want half."

Bentley Frost hesitated for a moment, then readily agreed, "Okay, I seek a possible opportunity. If I’m not successful, I have no problem splitting the proceeds with you."

"It’s a deal!"

Blood Skull Deacon Wolf said briskly, "Alright, it’s settled. When do we make our move?"

"Just wait."

All of them were either sitting cross-legged or lying down, conserving their strength. Everyone was well aware that what was to come would be a bloody slaughter.

For the sake of wealth, men die; for food, birds perish—there were plenty of good things up for grabs at the trade conference. Take the risk!

And they waited, for two days.

Finally, Bentley Frost stood up, shaking the Communication Stone in his hand.

"Alright, I’ve received insider information. The Mystical Immortal Token has been delivered to the Xiqia Mountain Villa, led by Boone Browning himself, along with two elders. All three possess Hollow Void Strength, with Boone Browning being the strongest, and the two elders slightly weaker."

"Four Sects have already arrived as guests, just as I expected. Those representing the Sects at the trade conference are mostly elders. While they have Hollow Void Strength, they are not at Great Perfection, so they’re not very powerful. After all, who would think that bandits would be bold enough to rob them?"

"Now get ready; we leave in half an hour!"

Carson Flores took a look at the bandits around him, noticing their usual frivolous demeanor had been replaced with a serious, eager glare, a ferocious look as if they couldn’t wait to rush out and start killing.

Half an hour later, Bentley Frost stood up, "Let’s go, move out!"

The three Bandit Groups gathered together, following the three Bandit Kings, flying into the distance where a towering peak soon appeared, piercing the clouds with its majestic grandeur.

Xiqia Mountain!

Bentley Frost’s face turned solemn, "Xiqia Mountain Villa is above the clouds. Once we’re up there, we’ll start the attack immediately, get it and leave without delay!"

"Okay!"

Bentley Frost leapt up, and at the same time commanded, "Move out!"
