Chapter 423: Chapter 427: Survival on a Deserted Island (Part 7)

Yue Bai and Liu Piaopiao’s encounter was completely unknown to Su Li.

She was busy setting up traps within the area she could move about.

Nightfall was an opportune time for certain dangerous creatures to become active, and she certainly didn’t want to get her neck bitten off while she was cultivating at just the right time.

One must know that the original owner had met their end in the jaws of a giant snake, at least indicating the presence of a thick Poison Snake.

Another night passed, and Su Li replaced sleep with cultivation.

As the first rays of sunlight hit her, she opened her eyes, feeling refreshed and invigorated.

This place was a good location, abundant with Spiritual Energy, which made her cultivation twice as effective. Also, several dozen formidable insects had gathered around her.

Unfortunately, she hadn’t succeeded in refining small insects of the caliber of King Cup again.

However, Su Li didn’t mind; King Cup held great and irreplaceable significance to her, and having one was enough.

Although the ten insects around her were not quite as formidable as King Cup, they were still quite powerful.

They were an excellent and unexpected tactic; this world seemed to lack any extraordinary powers, and having a sufficient number of insects for assistance was enough.

Since Su Li had grasped the power of Rule Power, her perception of the small world had grown much sharper, vaguely aware of some matters.

Now, as she cultivated Daoist Scripture to the extreme, reaching a bottleneck, the Heavenly Dao of the small world would suppress any power beyond what the world could bear.

Therefore, Su Li brought her abilities to the point that the world could sustain and then stopped cultivating further.

"Gurgle gurgle...."

Only upon hearing her stomach rumbling did Su Li realize that she hadn’t eaten since yesterday.

Although cultivation kept her from being too hungry, she still needed to eat.

Not far from the island was the sea, an endless source of fresh food. After one trip, Su Li returned with her hands full of seafood.

Lobster, crab, sea snail...

At just seven or eight in the morning, the weather was already hot and dry.

Using some dry twigs, Su Li easily started a fire by drilling wood for fire.

Even without any seasoning, the fresh, top-quality ingredients were so delicious they could make you swallow your tongue.

Su Li indulgently had a seafood feast, and her audience-less live stream welcomed its first viewer.

This time, with leisure at hand, Su Li ate the lobster meat while answering this lucky viewer’s questions.

"Right, right, you’re not mistaken, this is a meat-eating live stream... I’m eating meat right now, lobster meat, it’s really delicious, both fresh and sweet."

The viewer, who had just glanced and thought of leaving, stayed.

Curiously, they asked, "What meat is this, lobster meat? It looks a bit like the Insect Race."

In the cosmos, there are many Species, including humanoid ones, and there are also those with strange appearances. Basically, as long as a species had intelligence, it would receive the protection of the Cosmic Federation, except for one type of creature.

That would be the Insect Race.

The Insect Race was despised by all Wisdom Species for its strong destructive powers and terrifying reproductive abilities, which once nearly led to the extinction of some cosmic communities.

It’s not to say that all of the Insect Race possess high intelligence, but the commands of the Insect Queen trump all other natural traits, making even those without intelligence a thorny problem for others.

The Cosmic Federation had been at war with the Insect Race for many years, stuck in a deadlock, and in recent years, due to citizens’ increasing sexual indifference and the alarmingly low birth rates of newborns, the Insect Race seemed to be gradually gaining an advantage.

After all, our soldiers were becoming fewer and fewer, and as the enemy’s forces grew stronger, the final outcome was obvious, it was just a matter of time.

Suddenly, an image of the Insect Race appeared in the livestream, and the viewer turned their eyes away in disgust but couldn’t help looking back at the host’s mouth.

While watching, their saliva started to drip, unknowingly.

"You are the first person I’ve seen eating the Insect Race, admirable courage."

After a while, the viewer licked their lips and asked, "Do the Insect Race... taste good?"

Su Li nodded repeatedly, "Tasty, very tasty."

There was no need to ask, watching the host eat made one’s mouth water uncontrollably.

"Then I am going to catch a few Insect Race to try."

After saying this, the only viewer of Su Li’s livestream disappeared from sight.

Su Li didn’t care, but the system that had been playing dead finally popped out and reminded in a low and tactful voice, "Although, although you are broadcasting eating meat, this seems to be off-theme..."

Upon hearing this, Su Li frowned and raised his voice, "How is it off-theme? The Meat Meat Channel is all about letting people eat meat, and I am eating meat right now."

System: "....." This is a bait and switch, it is not called Meat Meat, it is a Lust/Desire channel system.

The baby is scared, doesn’t have the guts to say it.

Well, as long as you’re happy. The system, with its strong will to survive, completely played dead.

Not hearing any dissenting voice, Demon King Su was satisfied.

He emphasized loudly, "I love eating meat, eating meat makes me happy."

------------

Liu Piaopiao and Yue Bai’s morning did not start off well.

They were freezing last night and ended up sleeping huddled together for warmth, barely making it to the morning.

Before they could rest properly, the scorching sun had already risen.

Bearing the heat on their skin, they squinted and frantically began to peel off their clothes, which resulted in a piercing scream nearly sending their hearts flying out of their chests.

Yue Bai, with his heart still pounding, glanced worriedly at his own crotch, where a man’s morning physiological reaction had been utterly dampened by the scream.

He even wondered if there might be lingering effects.

With this thought, Yue Bai looked up angrily at Liu Piaopiao, the source of the noise.

"Why the hell are you screaming so early in the morning?" Just yesterday he had started to find this woman marginally tolerable, but today he felt like he had been smacked back to reality.

Liu Piaopiao hopped on one foot, pitifully flinging herself at Yue Bai, "So, so many little bugs."

The place they had chosen to rest, by feel alone, had been too dark to see clearly last night. Now with sunrise, everything was revealed in stark clarity.

Surprisingly close to them was what appeared to be a nest of some unknown insects.

Thankfully, these insects were neither venomous nor carnivorous, or else the duo wouldn’t have known what killed them. They probably would have become nothing but skeletons after a night’s sleep.

Though seemingly harmless, the sight of the insects busily entering and exiting their crowded nest still sent shivers down their spines, enough to make anyone with a fear of swarms faint on the spot.

It wasn’t just Liu Piaopiao who would be scared by such a sight, even Yue Bai took one look and hurriedly began patting down his body, fearful that little bugs might be hiding on him.

The two frantically slapped at their clothes as they quickly moved away from the spot.

Once they caught their breath, they realized they were hungry again.
