Chapter 732: Chapter 732: As Long as You’re Here
Hearing that, Li San tightened his grip on the steering wheel, "She’s busy."
Li Qiao caught the restlessness in Li San’s eyes through the rearview mirror, curled her lips, and leaned into Shang Yu’s embrace.
...
That afternoon, Li Qiao returned to the dormitory with Mo Jue and made a phone call to Ah Chang, asking him to come to the factory after dark.
Outside the building, Shang Yu and Li San chatted casually while smoking, "How many days can you stay this time?"
The man, dressed in a black overcoat that fell past his knees, casually pocketed one hand, his tall figure a scenery of its own, "Around two days."
Li San took a drag of his cigarette, hands on his hips as he twisted his neck, "I can’t help with Parma, so don’t be polite with me at the border."
Shang Yu met his gaze, pressing down the corner of his mouth, and responded faintly, "Mm, how’s the factory been recently?"
"Not too bad." Li San took a drag, exhaling a thin mist, "With your Parma Armament Factory and Wenxi Island’s orders, there won’t be problems for a while."
The weapons orders sent by Shang Yu and Jin Rong were enough to support the Border Factory’s performance for several years.
Even if Huoli Factory in Myanmar was still competing for business, it didn’t matter much.
At that moment, a teasing voice of admiration came from a distance, "Sister Nan, going on a blind date dressed so nicely?"
Li San followed the voice and saw Nan Xin descend from the jeep in a fiery red long dress.
No wonder someone was teasing her; she truly looked stunning, with a shapely and graceful figure.
Especially since she had her long hair styled into big waves draped over her left shoulder, she looked like a walking enchantress.
Li San swallowed hard, took a deep pull on his cigarette, but couldn’t suppress the itch in his throat.
Damn, she looked amazing.
Nan Xin, oblivious to Li San behind her, flipped her hair and walked unhurriedly into the office.
Li San’s gaze followed her and seemed to hang there for a long time, unable to retract it.
Standing opposite him, Shang Yu’s lips quietly curled into a smile before he crushed his cigarette and turned to enter the dormitory.
In the simply furnished dormitory, Li Qiao sat in a chair, listening to the phone call.
As the door opened, she turned to look, her eyes clashing with the depth of the man’s, smiled faintly, and set the phone aside.
On the other end, Xi Luo: "???"
At this moment, Mo Jue was not in the room and had run off somewhere seeking novelties.
The man walked steadily towards Li Qiao, his palm landing on the top of her head and rubbing it twice, "When do we leave for Poor People’s Kiln?"
"Wait for nightfall." Li Qiao looked up at him, contemplated for a moment, and added, "The teacher might ask us to stay overnight there."
"Afraid I won’t get used to it?" Shang Yu curved his fingers, caressing her cheek, his lips slightly raised with a touch of tenderness.
Li Qiao lowered her eyes, chuckling lightly, "Mm, the conditions at Poor People’s Kiln are a bit rudimentary."
Having Shang Yu stay at Poor People’s Kiln would inevitably make things rough for him.
The man lifted her chin, forcing Li Qiao to look up, leaned over, his voice laced with a laugh, "It’s fine as long as you’re there."
...
Meanwhile, Nan Xin returned to the office, kicked off her high-heeled shoes without a care, and laid down straight on the sofa.
Tired, her waist and back aching.
Nan Xin placed her forearm over her forehead, tugged at her skirt a couple of times, and planned to take a nap with narrowed eyes.
This mission had taken her a week, and she had reaped plentiful rewards; she thought she’d report back to Li San after waking up.
In a semi-dream, Nan Xin inexplicably felt a strong, impossible-to-ignore gaze on her.
Too exhausted to open her eyes and too lazy to bother, she turned to face the back of the sofa, muttered a few times in her sleep, and continued to slumber.
Li San’s burning gaze rested on her snow-white thigh, he licked his lips, feeling a bit hot and bothered.
The long dress was as red as fire, seductive and resplendent on her.
The high-slit design of the skirt, sliding off her leg as she turned over, revealing a delicate waist and all her curves.
Li San frowned impatiently, walked over to her, and pushed her shoulder.
Nan Xin didn’t wake up.
Li San glanced at her long legs again, thought for a moment, then took off his black coat and covered her with it.
This woman never knew how tempting she was.
Li San sighed, wanted to leave but couldn’t move his legs.
He sat down at the corner of the sofa, lowering his gaze to the sleeping woman, her shallow breathing accompanied by a faint fragrance that continuously beguiled his reason.
Hard as a rock.
The more he looked, the more he couldn’t resist; Li San didn’t even know what he was thinking when his rough fingers uncontrollably caressed Nan Xin’s face—a touch so smooth, warm, and irresistible.
Then, Nan Xin was awakened by his disturbance.
Haven’t slept for two days, Nan Xin’s mind wasn’t clear, she swiped away the annoying hand on her face, and squintingly opened her eyes, still befuddled as she grumbled, "What are you doing?"
Li San didn’t speak, just looked at her intently.
It had been a long time since he had seen such a soft Nan Xin. After a while, he said hoarsely, "Go back to the room to sleep."
Nan Xin, groggy and dazed, refused, "Don’t wanna, can’t move."
Li San, wearing a tank top, his chest heaving violently, coaxed her, "I’ll carry you."
Nan Xin was silent, as if she had fallen back asleep.
Then, Li San’s straight male logic mistook her silence for consent to his suggestion, without further ado, he bent down and scooped her up in his arms.
So soft, so fragrant.
The long skirt dangled and swung from the crook of Li San’s arm, Nan Xin, not sleeping peacefully in his embrace, twisted twice, her tone unfriendly, "Don’t move."
Li San stopped, looking down at her face buried in his chest, feeling a dry mouth and burning tongue.
Especially since the off-shoulder style revealed an expanse of snowy white softness.
And so, Li San moved carefully, finally managing to carry Nan Xin into the adjacent rest room, and stared at the single bed yet hesitated to put her down.
All this way, Nan Xin, no matter how sleepy, was roused by the commotion.
She lazily opened her reddened eyes, leaning against Li San’s shoulder, she pinched the bridge of her nose, "Boss, why are you bothering me? Can’t you let me sleep in peace?"
Li San looked down at Nan Xin, his voice dropping a few notches, "You call this bothering?"
"Otherwise?"
Li San’s eyes flashed with a dangerous glint, he smirked, took a step forward, and tossed Nan Xin directly onto the bed, "This is what I call bothering."
Nan Xin was dumbfounded, her long hair a mess on her face, looking up at the descending Li San, furrowing her brows, "What... mmph."
Li San indeed demonstrated to Nan Xin what bothering really meant with his actions.
With one hand, he pinned her wrists above her head; with the other, he clamped on her chin and covered her lips, prying open her teeth and advancing deeply.
Nan Xin struggled under him for a moment, perhaps overwhelmed by the intense aura of the borderland bandit, and soon went limp.
Her response wasn’t pronounced, but their kiss was inseparable.
Mutual affection, how could it withstand the other’s temptation?
The long-standing stalemate between them showed vague signs of thawing in the midst of their fervent kiss.
Then, Nan Xin, her mouth half-open, fell asleep.
Li San breathed heavily, pressing down on her as he caught his breath, he pulled the blanket over her, his eyes narrowed, and leaned down to bite hard on her slender neck.
Marking his territory, in case this woman woke up and refused to acknowledge what had happened.
