Chapter 213: Chapter 213: Where’s Her Calm?
Oh, I’ve been caught.
Li Qiao pursed her lips and lazily opened her eyes in the man’s embrace.
At this moment, she was in Shang Yu’s princess carry, her slender ankles comfortably stacked together, her arms wrapped around his shoulders, and she raised an eyebrow and smiled, "How did Master Yan find out?"
Shang Yu came to a slow stop, the deep pools of his eyes reflecting the light as he swallowed hard, and whispered huskily into her ear, "When I kissed you."
The young girl had indeed fallen asleep at first, but then, unable to hide his itchy heart, he kissed her twice, and her thick eyelashes began to flutter non-stop.
She was probably pretending to sleep the rest of the way.
Li Qiao felt his low voice by her ear, his warm breath sprinkling on her sensitive ear, and she couldn’t help but shrink her neck.
She looked at the man with raised eyebrows, her gaze gradually resting on his lips, "Master Yan, you can’t blame me for pretending to sleep, when you... kissed me all the way."
She did want to sleep, but there were continuous pecks on her face.
At that moment, listening to her complaint, Shang Yu caught the look in her eyes fixed on his own lips, and his lips inadvertently lifted, his arms gradually tightened, "So?"
"So..." Li Qiao shifted her gaze to look into the man’s eyes, then her fingertips curled and straightened on his shoulder, slowly moving from behind his neck over his shirt to his side face, holding it, "I have to kiss back. I can’t be at a loss."
As soon as she finished speaking, she leaned forward, and her soft lips pressed against the man’s thin lips.
Li Qiao pecked lightly, as if inexperienced.
It was like a wildfire reignited by a spring breeze, instantly flaring up.
Li Qiao hadn’t expected such a small action to elicit such a big response from Shang Yu.
The man suddenly tightened his arms, holding her even closer in his embrace, swiftly taking all the initiative, storming her fortress with abandon.
A textbook French kiss.
That night, in front of the South Sea Mansion, known as the pearl of the mountains, the tall man stood in the center of the hall, princess carrying a girl, their kiss deep and passionate.
The bodyguards passing by the Mansion’s entrance were all stunned.
They got smacked in the face with dog food while on patrol—what the hell!
...
After the kiss ended, Li Qiao’s lips were red and swollen, her eyes hazy as she leaned on Shang Yu’s shoulder and caught her breath in small puffs.
The man’s breath by her ear was slightly heavy, as he looked at her flushed cheeks, and, using his distinct jawline, rubbed gently, and, after steadying his breath, he carried her back to the living room.
After all, the temperature between them still had a tendency to rise, even on that short journey.
A few seconds later, Li Qiao got down from the man’s embrace and walked with forced composure to the sofa to sit; if not for her weak ankles, hardly any abnormality would have been visible.
Right then, a shadow fell from above her head, and Li Qiao suddenly held her breath, lifting her eyes hesitantly as she leaned against the sofa.
The intense masculine scent rushed towards her, subtly beguiling Li Qiao’s sense of reason.
That kiss, once again stormed her mind.
Li Qiao subconsciously licked her cool lips, and before she could speak, Shang Yu braced himself with one hand on the back of the sofa chair, leaned over, and with his warm thumb, wiped the edge of her lips, "Haven’t had dinner yet tonight?"
"Hmm, forgot in the kiss," Li Qiao muttered, her thoughts hazy as she stared at the man’s lips, the nonsensical words slipping out.
After a couple of seconds, seeing more and more amusement condense in the depths of the man’s dark eyes, Li Qiao annoyed, rubbed her forehead, "Not... I mean, I forgot because I was busy."
Where was her calm? Her restraint? Her prized rationality?
