The F-Class Healer Omega is a Villain [BL]
Chapter 100: The beginning

Chapter 100: The beginning

Climbing the same wall, Cheon Areum stood on the edge of the low wall in the exact same way the previous Cheon Areum had. He faced Lee Nari, standing beside the rooftop door on his right. Tightly clenching the revolver in his hand just enough not to crush it, consumed by pure rage, he glared at her while she had an anxious expression plastered on her face, watching his every move carefully.

"Cheon Areum... what are you doing?"

She slowly asked, wanting to move towards him but couldn’t. If Cheon Areum removed all control over her body, she would without a doubt appear the same as Lee Nari had in the book when she saw Cheon Areum standing here with a gun pressed to his head.

Cheon Areum had chosen to kill himself, framing his character as the villain until the end. He could have just used soul bind on Lee Nari and threatened her brother with her soul. Cheon Areum had the ability to reverse soul bind. He wasn’t completely helpless against them, yet he didn’t do anything. He couldn’t sign the form, nor could he free himself from them. He knew no one would come to save him. No one would believe him even if he got out somehow, and no one would later be able to protect him or Rian from Lee Nari. But he also innocently and stubbornly outright refused to marry Lee Nari, despite knowing full well that Yoon Seoyul would never accept him either.

I’m stronger than you, Cheon Areum. I won’t let you break down even if Yoon Seoyul comes up and takes Lee Nari’s hand right now.

At the same moment Cheon Areum tilted his head slightly, pressing the cold muzzle of the revolver firmly against the side of his skull. A blood-slicked hand gripped the edge of the rooftop doorway. Yoon Seoyul pulled himself into view, his eyes locking onto Cheon Areum as if he knew exactly where he would be.

"Areum..."

"I’m fine, Yoon Seoyul."

Cheon Areum glanced once at Yoon Seoyul before his gaze quickly shifted to Lee Nari, standing a few steps away from Yoon Seoyul, staring at him without a single blink occupying the eyes. She was clearly only seeing him.

Watch clearly how your not-so-harmless actions can force someone to take their own life, Lee Nari.

"Areum, don’t do it."

"Drop the gun."

Yoon Seoyul spoke apprehensively, skipping past Lee Nari and almost running towards him.

*BANG*

The instant a deafening gunshot echoed through the air, a violent storm of black hairstreak butterflies exploded where Cheon Areum had been standing. They flooded the rooftop, darkening the sky above in a chaotic swarm that cast flickering shadows over the people below. The swarm spiraled upward, flapping their wings wildly in the air, before descending and crashing into the rooftop beside the low wall. There, the butterflies clustered tightly, their wings overlapping like shards of darkness—slowly forming, merging, and reshaping until Cheon Areum emerged once more from within their shifting mass, his eyes fixed on Lee Nari, who had been freed from his control with the gunshot, her entire body trembling from the traumatic event even after seeing him again.

Casting one final, cold glare at her, Cheon Areum turned to Yoon Seoyul, who stood with his hands braced against the low rooftop wall, the stone only reaching his stomach. His back rose and fell in rapid, uneven breaths, but he still didn’t meet Cheon Areum’s eyes. Cheon Areum reached forward, gripping his shoulder and turning him around in a quick succession. The moment Yoon Seoyul faced him, Cheon Areum’s gaze dropped to the shaky hands that clutched the front of his shirt tightly over his chest—his knuckles pale, his breaths shallow and fractured.

"Yoon Seoyul??"

"Hah—hah—ha..."

The moment he called out to him in shock, Yoon Seoyul’s body suddenly collapsed forward, crashing into Cheon Areum and sending them both to their knees. Staggered and alarmed, Cheon Areum instinctively caught him, his arms wrapping around Yoon Seoyul’s shoulders before quickly pushing him back just enough to create space. His heart pounded as he called out his name again with growing urgency.

"Yoon Seoyul."

"Yoon Seoyul, look at me. I’m fine. Just look at me and take deep breaths."

Yoon Seoyul’s previously unfocused eyes finally focused on him, clarity returning just as a barrage of tears quietly began to drip from his eyes like a waterfall down his cheeks. His brows furrowed into a pout, fear etched into every line of his face as he stared directly at Cheon Areum.

"See with your own eyes. I’m okay. Nothing happened to me."

Cheon Areum cupped Yoon Seoyul’s tear-streaked face with both hands, his heart aching at the sight. The pain in those quivering features shattered any resolve he had left. Unable to hold back, he pulled Yoon Seoyul into a tight embrace, wrapping his arms around him with desperation.

"I’m sorry."

"I’m sorry, Yoon Seoyul. I will never do it. Please forgive me. It won’t ever happen again."

Cheon Areum spoke in a distressed tone, not letting his hold loosen for even a second when he felt Yoon Seoyul’s arms weakly resting on his back.

"You can’t... You can’t, Areum..."

"Cheon Areum... you can’t..."

"You can’t..."

Yoon Seoyul stressed out each word in a sobbing voice. Cheon Areum listened closely, humming in response to his every word. If he knew Yoon Seoyul would react so strongly, he would’ve just never let him see it. This person, naive enough to fall for Lee Nari’s lie, saw Cheon Areum kill himself in the book too, and he had carelessly accused him of killing the villain...

The book ended at the moment Cheon Areum died. He didn’t know what happened after that. Maybe Yoon Seoyul had lived in guilt his entire life. He had read the whole story wrong. Completely wrong. Only Cheon Areum and Yoon Seoyul were supposed to fall in love with each other.

In the end, only Cheon Areum was destined to fall in love with the main character.

"I love you, Yoon Seoyul. For as long as I live, I’ll always be with you. I won’t leave you. I can’t... even if I wanted to."

"Cheon Areum can’t live without you. As long as you’re here with me, I’ll always be by your side."

Speaking delicately, he patted Yoon Seoyul’s back, feeling the arms around him stiffen—almost strangling him?

"Wait, Yoon Seoyul! I can’t breathe like this..."

Cheon Areum barely managed to force out his words when, without warning, a heavy pressure burdened down on the building. It was suffocating—so dense and crushing that even he felt it seep into his bones, his limbs growing sluggish as if an invisible weight had been thrown over his shoulders. The walls and the ground split with huge cracks under the strain, while a dark red energy visibly blared from Yoon Seoyul’s body.

"Why are you activating frenzy mode?!"

He promptly glanced around, noticing Yoon Seoyul’s head directed straight at Lee Nari, who stared back at him while standing in the same place, as if she didn’t know what to do anymore. Cheon Areum instantly crossed his arms, holding down Yoon Seoyul as he shouted at her.

"What are you waiting for? Run away if you want to live right now!"

"Let go of me, Areum..."

Yoon Seoyul nearly rose to his feet, unintentionally pulling Cheon Areum up with him. But before he could stand, Cheon Areum summoned his energy, forcing him back down into his arms. Across the rooftop, Lee Nari’s eyes widened in panic as she realized that Yoon Seoyul was coming for her. Without a second thought, she turned on her heel and bolted toward the staircase, fleeing in a blind rush.

"Hold on, Yoon Seoyul!"

"Just let it go!"

Cheon Areum uttered, shutting his eyes, trying to hold back Yoon Seoyul.

"If they mess with us again, I’ll kill all of them myself."

"...."

Cheon Areum was able to convince Yoon Seoyul until everyone evacuated the abandoned building, but the building was crushed to tiny bits of rocks by Yoon Seoyul that day.

Soul Intertwine. Cheon Areum’s special skill. To activate Soul Intertwine, the user had to die.

Cheon Areum must have truly believed Lee Nari’s empty threat about holding Rian hostage. And since he couldn’t bring himself to agree to marry her, he chose the only path that could protect both his brother and himself. A person who could no longer bear to live decided instead to rely on his special skill—to preserve his body and soul for Rian. He also knew that Rian needed his older brother alive. That’s why he didn’t simply end everything. Instead, he chose to let someone else take over his body while he continued to exist in one form or another. In such an impossible situation, it was the best solution he could come up with.

He didn’t fully understand the conditions or terms of the skill—maybe one of them was that he’d be sent back in time too once the new soul takes over the body, intertwining with Cheon Areum’s soul.

It made sense for such a special skill to exist—something that could be used in a critical moment, when the user was certain death was inevitable. The skill might not be entirely favorable, as it came with serious drawbacks: the person would lose control of their body, be overtaken by another soul, and be sent back in time, potentially facing the same life-threatening situations all over again. Even with all these disadvantages, the skill still offered something powerful—hope. After all, living with a chance was better than dying with none.

In a final act of desperation to save his brother, Cheon Areum had activated his special skill before pulling the trigger—hoping that someone would take over his body and continue the life he could no longer bear to live.

Kim Sangmin possessed a mind far more resilient than Cheon Areum’s. Perhaps if Cheon Areum had been granted a life free from overwhelming stress and fear, he too would have awakened as an S+ Class. Every single skill—Mind Corruption included—had always belonged to Cheon Areum. Even this life Kim Sangmin lived now... was given to him by Cheon Areum. Two souls in one body...

Cheon Areum stared at his hands, slowly curling and uncurling his fingers, lost in thought when from the backseat, Rian peeked out curiously.

"Hyung, is this the house?"

He asked excitedly, pointing through the window as Cheon Areum nodded.

"Yes. Do you like it?"

"Hm!"

He stepped out of the car, followed by Yoon Seoyul and Rian. His gaze settled on the two-story house before them. It wasn’t a mansion, nor was it a mouse’s den. It was just the perfect home for them.
