Chapter 1812: Chapter 1910: Collision Between Martial Lords

On the vast earth, in the barren and uninhabited desert, there’s a figure that has stood for unknown years. Neither wind nor rain could make it waver in the slightest, standing there like an indomitable stele.

This was an old man, devoid of any breath, like a corpse. His eyes were tightly shut, and his face was full of dry cracks, as if a touch could turn his entire body into dust.

Suddenly, the old man opened his eyes and looked into the distance toward the direction of the Pill Saint Palace, revealing a relieved smile.

"The time has come, I should go now." The old man was Xuanyuan Ya, who had relied on the last thread of strength to endure for hundreds of years. Even this last bit of strength was exhausted.

A gentle breeze blew by, and the old man’s body suddenly dissipated, drifting to various parts of the earth like dust.

From then on, Xuanyuan Ya was no more in this world! The first Martial Lord in the history of the Human Clan had perished!

At the moment Xuanyuan Ya completely vanished, Mo Shouhe, who sat high above the Nine Heavens, seemed to sense something.

"Xuanyuan Ya, you finally exhausted your last breath. It’s a pity you always opposed me. Otherwise, with your abilities, living another hundred thousand years wouldn’t have been an issue." Mo Shouhe spoke, looking toward the direction of the Pill Saint Palace.

In the next moment, just as Mo Shouhe was about to make a move, a figure appeared in front of him.

"Although Xuanyuan Elder is no more, I, Fang Qingye, am still here. Xuanyuan Elder’s will, I shall inherit. Whatever you intend to do, Mo Shouhe, you’ll have to get through me first." Dressed in a billowing green robe, the newcomer’s voice was clear and bright—it was none other than Fang Qingye.

Though Xuanyuan Ya was dead, a new Martial Lord had been born in this world, achieving the position in just a few hundred years of training.

Mo Shouhe coldly looked at Fang Qingye. The momentum between the two Martial Lords surged. Suddenly, anomalies appeared across the land, causing countless creatures to tremble in fear.

This was the aura of the Martial Lords. Once the two truly fought, it would be no less than a world-ending catastrophe. Before a victor emerged, every creature on this land would be killed or wounded by the aftermath of their battle.

Fang Qingye stood with one hand behind his back, looking calmly at Mo Shouhe, showing no fear. At the same Martial Lord realm, Fang Qingye and Mo Shouhe’s strength was comparable, making it challenging to determine a winner even in a life-and-death fight.

But at this moment, Mo Shouhe, unless absolutely necessary, would not want to and was unwilling to fight Fang Qingye.

It’s not that Mo Shouhe feared Fang Qingye’s power; rather, Mo Shouhe knew that his own life force was limited, and any action would consume his vitality, further shortening his already dwindling lifespan.

For Mo Shouhe, engaging with Fang Qingye at this moment was meaningless and would only deplete his life force.

"Mo Martial Master, Fang asked for your guidance in the past, and Mo Martial Master once generously pointed out some things to me. Now that I stand on the same level as Mo Martial Master, may I ask for more of your guidance?" Fang Qingye said with a light smile, hinting at wanting to force Mo Shouhe to make a move.

Mo Shouhe’s expression was indifferent. "Very well. I also wish to see how much you have progressed over the years."

As soon as he finished speaking, Mo Shouhe pointed his finger, and innumerable stars began swirling around it.

One finger to move the stars!

The most ordinary-looking move bore divine brilliance, showcasing the strength of a Martial Lord.

Seeing this, Fang Qingye also pointed a finger, and the two met without much reservation.

In an instant, the entire sky let out a muffled roar. Terrifying momentum surged toward the Outer Nine Heavens, as if it could shatter the sun itself.

But the ground below remained unaffected; creatures on the surface thought it was just a particularly loud thunderclap. Only the Martial Arts experts at the Heavenly Mandate level watched the sky with intense gravity.

After exchanging moves, Fang Qingye slightly retreated, while Mo Shouhe stood firm, as if he felt no pressure at all.

"Mo Martial Master, you’re indeed invincible, coming from Mountain Tu." Fang Qingye sincerely praised.

But Mo Shouhe silently gazed at Fang Qingye, a chill and somberness in his eyes, mixed with a hint of regret in his heart.

Although the exchange was just a single move, both Fang Qingye and Mo Shouhe felt each other’s strength.

Mo Shouhe, in particular, while seeming to have the upper hand, knew Fang Qingye had, to prevent impacting all life on earth, absorbed the impact of their battle, leading to his seemingly disadvantaged position.

If Fang Qingye hadn’t cared about the creatures on the land, the clash would have been equally matched, with neither gaining any advantage.

Mo Shouhe regretted that when Fang Qingye challenged him before becoming a Martial Lord, he hadn’t harbored the intent to kill. Had he foreseen today’s events, he would have killed Fang Qingye directly, even if Xuanyuan Ya, with his last breath, tried to intervene. Mo Shouhe was confident he could have killed Fang Qingye.

Yet, despite Mo Shouhe’s extraordinary abilities, he couldn’t alter what had already transpired.

Though both stood at the peak of martial arts, as true Martial Arts Supremes, each had their own constraints. Even when it came to fighting, they could only probe tentatively.

Fang Qingye was concerned about life, while Mo Shouhe did not wish to deplete his lifespan.

"Compared to Xuanyuan Ya, your talent is superior," Mo Shouhe said.

And that was Mo Shouhe’s truth. Xuanyuan Ya took thousands of years to achieve the Martial Lord realm, while Fang Qingye needed only a few hundred. The discrepancy was evident.

"Compared to Xuanyuan Elder, I still fall short and can only strive to catch up," Fang Qingye said.

Mo Shouhe looked at Fang Qingye, with a hint of pity in his eyes.

"Xuanyuan Ya is already dead. You wish to stop me like him, but what can you do? What’s destined to happen will inevitably come," Mo Shouhe said.

Fang Qingye smiled: "Though that’s true, there are things I must do. Just like Xuanyuan Elder, he knew it was futile but persisted nonetheless."

"Foolish! Both you and Xuanyuan Ya could choose, but you didn’t choose the right path!" Mo Shouhe angrily said.

"The path you speak of is merely Mountain Tu. Since all beings have extended their lineage on earth, why return to Mountain Tu? To fulfill only the eternal life of the Ancient Spirit of Mountain Tu?" Fang Qingye said resolutely.

"All beings return to Mountain Tu, this is the cycle, this is the Heavenly Dao!" Mo Shouhe spoke, exuding endless coldness.
