"CHIRP CHIRP!"
The Dragon Sculpture stared angrily at Chu Yi.
Its vertical pupils flickered with electric sparks, and thunderclouds gathered around it, capable of unleashing lightning that could obliterate all matter.
This insignificant ant dared to threaten it.
If not for the fear of accidentally harming Jiang Qiuyun, its lightning would have shattered the clouds and struck this damned man dead.
"Good birdie."
Jiang Qiuyun glanced at her Pet Beast, her slightly curled lashes blinking. Her delicate face bore a pure, innocent smile. "You must listen to Daddy. No more tantrums."
The Dragon Sculpture stared, its eyes wide in disbelief. This warm, adorable voice left it momentarily dazed. From a brave and valiant Female Knight to a cute and innocent little girl. Master, you’re acting completely out of character!
"Exactly, exactly."
Though a pair of fair, jade-like arms were wrapped around Chu Yi’s neck, he put on a lecturing expression. "Sculpture, that Nightmare Deer King looking at me really ticks me off. Go teach it a lesson!"
"CHIRP CHIRP!" Who the hell do you think you are?!
The Dragon Sculpture arrogantly raised its neck, giving him a disdainful sidelong glance. Its eyes were full of scorn.
Seeing this, Chu Yi pulled Jiang Qiuyun closer and said calmly, "Daughter, as a Beast Tamer, your Pet Beast must obey its master."
Jiang Qiuyun, feeling something pressing against her hip, shifted her position. Her beautiful eyes blinked as she asked curiously, "Why?"
"Just think, if it ignores you today, it might run away from home tomorrow. How scary would that be?" Chu Yi gently persuaded. "Of course, training a Pet Beast starts with some simple, basic commands."
"Bika, do a flip for me."
"YIP!"
Bika leaped out of the off-road vehicle, its paws kicking off the ground, and immediately performed a flip.
"Continuous flips!"
With the new command issued, Bika flipped around the car and then back, perfectly obedient.
As a gold-medal salesman, it always had a few little tricks to attract customers, even if it meant being forced to perform.
"Wow."
Jiang Qiuyun’s eyes lit up, mainly because Bika listened to Daddy so well.
"Alright, let Daddy see your Beast Taming skills."
"Okay, okay."
Jiang Qiuyun nodded. Looking at the imposing Dragon Sculpture, she felt a bit timid.
"CHIRP!"
The Dragon Sculpture sneered. With its profound wisdom, it had already guessed that this damned man wanted to use its master to control it indirectly. Do you take me for an idiot!?
"Dragon... Dragon Sculpture," Jiang Qiuyun began. Suddenly, a familiar sensation washed over her. Her innocent smile vanished instantly, replaced by an ice-cold, stern expression. "Flip."
As the command was given, the Dragon Sculpture instinctively trembled.
Before its mind could even react, its claws pushed off the ground, and it clumsily flipped over, landing headfirst into a sandpit.
"HISS..."
Chu Yi shivered. The sweet girl sitting on his lap had suddenly turned as cold as a block of ice.
He had originally planned to use hypnosis to control the Dragon Sculpture, but it seemed Jiang Qiuyun’s residual authority was still potent.
"Continuous flips."
The command, linked through the Beast Taming Space, echoed in the Dragon Sculpture’s mind.
BANG!
A burst of purple lightning erupted as its claws flailed wildly, sending it rolling across the Gobi like a Wind-Rolling Grass.
On the other side, the Nightmare Deer King, which had been on alert, was stunned.
From its perspective, this terrifyingly strong Dragon Sculpture was rolling like a Wind-Rolling Grass, kicking up clouds of dust. Is this thing an idiot?
"YO!"
The Nightmare Deer King raised its neck and let out a hoarse cry, mercilessly taunting the Dragon Sculpture. The other Nightmare Deer joined in the laughter.
This Dragon Sculpture must have lost its mind, burying its head in a pit to eat sand. How pathetic!
"Attack the Nightmare Deer!"
At Chu Yi’s subtle hint, Jiang Qiuyun gave the attack order.
"CHIRP!"
The Dragon Sculpture, infuriated, leaped into the air. Clusters of purple electricity gathered on its dragon-scale wings, electric arcs sputtering until its entire body was enveloped.
[Electric Storage] + [Electric Sparks] + [Strong Magnetic Field] = [Thunder Armor].
If I can’t strike this damned man, can’t I at least beat you lot?!
The enraged Dragon Sculpture turned the group of Nightmare Deer into an outlet for its frustration. How dare a mere elite-level herd laugh at it, a high-ranking War General!
"ROAR!"
The Nightmare Deer King sneered. The human-like skull hanging from its branch-like antlers swayed in the wind, a testament to the creature’s terrifying nature.
By devouring this Dragon Sculpture, I can evolve to a higher level of existence!free.webn\ove(l)(.)c(o)m
It stomped a hoof. The suspended skull’s eyes snapped open, and it levitated, revealing rows upon rows of teeth.
Undead skill: [Return of the Dead].
At the same time, the lush, branch-like white bone antlers expanded further, vines coiling around them, revealing jagged bone spikes.
BANG!
The Dragon Sculpture shot forward like a sharp knife, its wings like blades. As it was about to collide with the Nightmare Deer King, it veered sharply, diving into the Nightmare Deer herd first.
SWISH SWISH...
The electric blades, swift as lightning and accompanied by thunderous roars, struck like a fighter jet diving at low altitude. The fierce lightning attack shredded the flesh of six or seven Nightmare Deer.
After a single deadly pass, the Dragon Sculpture soared back into the air, looking mockingly at the startled and enraged Nightmare Deer King.
Only an idiot would fight you head-on! Go for the easy pickings, of course! Stupid!
"This Nightmare Deer has multiple attributes; the Dragon Sculpture might not win. However, the Dragon Sculpture has rich combat experience. By maneuvering in the sky and kiting it slowly, it has the advantage," Chu Yi mused, having scanned the Nightmare Deer King with his Star Bracelet, though he only got its general information.
In the Bloody Wilderness, countless Demons emerged and perished daily. The database was constantly updated, yet this Nightmare Deer King, leading a herd, possessed powers unrecorded even by the Federation.
Soon, he plunged a hand into the Pocket Grass, retrieving his weapon: a thick metal rod, its muzzle alone twenty centimeters wide.
Chu Yi got out of the car. He set up the Spiritual Giant Cannon, observing the battlefield from afar.
Bika wagged its tail nearby, showing no intention of joining the fight. Any one of the opposing Nightmare Deer was an elite-level combatant over level twenty. Unless they were cubs.
The Spiritual Giant Cannon is charged by a Beast Tamer’s Spiritual Power. However, some high-purity ores can also serve as an energy source. Chu Yi thought as he inspected the manual that came with the Giant Cannon.
The cannon barrel, forged from rare metals, had a distinctly technological feel.
He fished out a Spirit Core from the "kitchen."
Spirit Cores extracted from the corpses of Beast Tamers are pure Spiritual Energy. Combining them might bring some surprises.
Following the manual, he opened a slot on the Giant Cannon; its structure indicated it was designed for brick-shaped Energy Ore. However, the Pocket Grass didn’t store such ore, which suggested the Federation strictly controlled this type of energy source.
Chu Yi tried placing a Spirit Core into the slot.
CLICK CLACK...
The sound of gears turning was heard, and a small light glowed.
[Charging Progress: 10%]
A Mechanical voice sounded. Only then did Chu Yi realize there were five energy levels for the slot; it was currently only at the first level. The energy level determined the power.
What surprised him was that Spirit Cores could indeed supplement the energy.
Immediately, he inserted a pigeon egg-sized Spirit Core; this one was Silver-grade.
